RJY is really beautiful. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him in anything before.
I literally just watched Lucky Romance again while waiting on the next episodes of this to air. lol. A totally different vibe, but it's still him, and he is great!
It's been years since I last watched this drama and I am still entertained. No matter how dated, no matter how flawed the characters, no matter how hideous the hair and clothes... it still has a charm that's more than nostalgia for smaller budgets and flip phones.
I want to clarify one thing... the reason why everyone is not liking the ending isn't just about whom she ends…
Exactly! What I think is the real ending is... Jae Eon figured out how to act in order to get her back because he's a narcissist and can't stand being dumped. It was his ego not his heart that was broken, that would make much more sense. He said he would leave so why did he show up? lol! I'm not buying that he was shocked to see her and just wanted to apologize. He saw that bracelet and thought "mission accomplished". Stay by her side? He's dating her and sliding into several other girls DMs. I don't trust that hand holding at the end one bit. She's gonna end up bitter and single making bad art and going to lots and lots of therapy! lol!!! She's also gonna get messy drunk at Potato Boys wedding and have no date. Too much? lol
So am I really supposed to believe that all of a sudden petty and manipulative Jae Eon has just been in love with her this whole time? She's the only girl who can get him to finally commit and change his ways? I know the Nevertheless title implies that she knows their relationship won't work out but still likes him, but shouldn't that mean a less sunny happy ending?
At least Potato Boy seemed happy. Really, that's all that matters.
Not really, Black Panther would have won Best Picture then. The films that were nominated for Best Foreign Language…
I liked Parasite much more overall. Both gave me a haunting feeling for different reasons. Burning left me with more unanswered questions that drove me to rewatch it immediately. I'm more likely to keep rewatching Parasite for years to come, even though I rewatched both more than once.
