I agree! I really enjoy these stories too! And I agree :) there are many paths of intelligence.

If they go by the book the side characters who are "crazy" come and go quite quickly. And aren't very dramatic anyways. The novel was a breath of fresh air. It's a very mature story, much like it's predecessor Love 020. The main characters' relationship is, from the start, built on mutual respect and understanding. They just click.

This story has a lot of moral teachings built into it. I really advise the novel! They've timed it beautifully so far in the first 8 episodes :)! There is a bump in the road but it's really pushed to the side and it's more a realistic thing than a like petty misunderstanding. Just know that our leads are both intelligent individuals!

Omg right!? I've read the novel 4 times now.. I absolutely love it. (I'm also a fan of Hui3r, they do an amazing job each time they translate! I always read their translations when I see a new one).

I love the fact that yes, the ML is powerful in education and learns super easily.. But he deals with the aftermath of being a child prodigy. I love the fact that although usually the all powerful and smart CEO saves the girl, it is quite the other way around. Jing Jing saves him from his struggles. I love their mutual respect in their relationship, and although I love hate-to-love I always loved Gu Man's novels for the extreme mutual respect between her leads. It makes me think of how my husband and I built our own relationship during high school.

Love the first 8 episodes! I'm so happy they timed it with the novel via like when they finally meet ect. I find online dramas have been milking the meet-up recently. So happy this is not the case for YAMG.

If there's another book I'd suggest reading that kind of has the same like feeling for the novel (but is more college-grade) it'd be "Tea of Summer" by Si Zhi. It's also on Novelupdates. DHH Translations does an awesome job at translations! They really give a lot of care for explaining terminology. (I'm also a huge like Gamer Romance/Voice Actor Romance fan when it comes to novels).

I think it'll be 2 in 10 hours, if not two then at least ep 9.

The spoiler doesn't pertain to the show, it has to do with something about Cheng Ge in the book but it's not a huge spoiler since he does it literally in the first part of the first chapter of the novel. I just wanted to post this here incase you wanted to read it!

So uh.. It's to hide the fact Cheng Ge, in the novels, smokes.. Lmao. I get the need to censor if Xu Kai didn't want to even pretend he had that habit but there are other addictions haha.

Also Love Gank Your Heart and King's Avatar so much! I would suggest Cross Fire too :). I got my husband to watch it with me. GYH is more related though for sure.

Right!? He is a very strong individual and I'm happy his condition didn't knock him down but helped him grow in his personality. The actors did an amazing job with the emotions and such of each character too :>!

Probably cause the female lead is 16! But yes there isn't one. (That's ok with me cause as you said it was beautifully written :>!)

As much as I wanted to punch the a**hole out in the first 2 episodes you should continue to watch. She gets back at him and she does it amazingly. I skimmed through it when it was mostly just Raws and came to really enjoy the FL and how she schemes to stay alive. I didn't think I'd like it but the FL is worth it!

Also the ML in the lifetime where she makes her life work out gradually becomes less of an a**.

I would say it's a lot like Gank Your Heart minus the edgier moments too! With the fact that the female lead is also awesome in what she does, not just the male lead. (So the Love 020/Go Go Squid female leads).

Our Tong Yao is also a bad ass woman and isn't afraid to say no. There is no second guess to giving up on their relationship for her.
