Hello! Someone who has read the book for YAMG here :D. I think that if you want to get a better grasp perhaps try reading the book? If you look it up on Google with "Eng Translation" it should come up.

YAMG is written by a rather well known author, who also wrote Love 020's book which is also a very popular gaming romance drama. If I could say so, after having read both of Gu Man's books, I would say YAMG is a more matured take on what Love 020 was trying to convey. Although it has not aired, YAMG has a rather large reader following that has already been anticipating this! Perhaps this helps your understanding?

(You're very welcome). I think that both of the stories have a lot of similarities.. Like you could say Falling into Your Smile and Gank Your Heart have many of them too (having read the books of those two as well). I really hope that the other comments have not deterred you from YAMG!

YAMG's book really hit home with me in multiple places as a married woman who is also a gamer (with her husband lmao). I hope you stick around and watch. It's a lot more than just a book about gamers getting together, there's a really deep hidden meaning behind what YAMG is trying to convey. If I explained it right now I'd spoil a lot of the major parts of the story but this meaning is what makes it different from LS. (This is also me understanding LS's deeper meaning is just as important than YAMG's.)

Two different books and if we're talking who is consider a remake of who, YAMG was written before LS. (I loved both!).. And also YAMG is more related to Love 020 since they have the same author :)!

I was trying to point out that the stories themselves are not alike even if the synopses are--I should have said that instead of 'it'. I can see where my fault was when I was trying to give you some parts of both stories where they will differ without spoiling the stories. I read both books---so I thought it'd be nice to explain that although the synopses do sound alike the two dramas will probably differ quite a lot actually. I say give YAMG a try :>.

Essentially I was trying to say what @zlx said. Like don't get me wrong. LS is the bomb and if YAMG was actually very close to it in the story, I mean. More the merrier?

I yelped in excitement when I saw the date. Falling Into Your Smile and YAMG just days a part!? And not to long after Love Scenery. Hell yes! Some more gamer dramas to watch :D.

Now to wait on the edge of my seat for Love is Only Online to get a date too. Some of my fave gamer romance books coming to dramas ahh!

It is not 100% like Love Scenery--I find both books were very different. The characters are very different from one another and the only thing they have in common is that the female lead is an actress who has to attend an event and play the game they have to endorse. Even how the game genre and how the gameplay events in which they attend are completely different. The female leads are nothing alike, I love them both but Qiao Jing Jing is much more mature. The male leads of both dramas, their ages, their jobs and how they know the female leads are completely different.

I really suggest reading YAMG! I loved Love Scenery (the cast was amazing!) but YAMG is on a different level. If anything it is more related to Love020 as the author who wrote YAMG is also the author of Love020.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for including "A Piece of Your Mind". It's my "When I feel down" drama. I find that it has so much hidden beauty in it. I would love to see the other episodes that they had to remove to shorten the drama. It's probably the drama that helped me through the beginning of Quarantine. I have sensitive hearing and I loved all of their voices and the sounds of the drama were very satisfying.

Also I love Imitation! AH! And Flower Crew. I have a big heart also for Gu Family Book when it comes to historical dramas.

I knew the moment he came in and I saw him and said "That one is my favourite" that he was gonna die :(.

Ok Hwang In Yeop as Shin Ah is the best one lmao. I love Shin Ah, he became my fave the moment he showed up in his mask!

I am a little sad that Shuan Zi is not in the actor list anywhere :<. However I'm really enjoying this drama! I get pretty big "Love is All" vibes from this drama which is a good thing!

Uh--I am unsure how much they will continue with the Webtoon. Gye Sun Woo has an interest in Lee Dam but it's pretty one-sided? Like she thinks he's pompous and too much for her.

So I would say No? But I don't know what the show is going to do with it.

He's very calm with her generally, I enjoy him not being an arrogant prick. I find his personality to be more precise for immortals who live amoungst mortals!

If you want to read You Are My Glory I'd say give it a go! If you like a mature story with more than just the gaming aspects where the characters are at standpoints in their lives where they begin to ask questions about their present day lives in order to set their lives up for the future this is your drama! If you want a better drama to base the feelings for You Are My Glory, I would say yes there are similarities between the dramas' and novels' plots but there's more of a "Go Go Squid" maturity to You Are My Glory. "You're My Glory" and "A Slight Smile is Alluring" aka "Love 020" are actually written by the same author too. So you can see the maturity of Gu Man (the author) within this book. If anything You Are My Glory is an aged-up approach to Love 020 without copying the older book!

Minus any age gaps like in Go Go Squid or Love Scenery they are the same age and are in their late 20s. Both Yu Tu and Qiao Jing Jing are rather solid in their occupations and are both strong individuals.
I spoilered just in case someone doesn't want this information until the drama comes out :D.

That is her real voice. I'm sure she's made it higher in pitch for her character's age, she has a stable voice usually and it's a little lower generally. (But it is still her voice).

I think Seven Tan is def someone who has aged very slow in her looks! I find she's ageless. I was very iffy about Under the Power but after a few episodes I super enjoyed it. I enjoyed how both characters saw their personal growth, not just held grudges against each other or themselves.

Exactly, as long as at the start of their relationship as being partners they are both adults and consent.. Like gtfo if you have a problem with that? It's not up to anyone else but the people in that relationship.
