Was hoping this would have something exciting compared to the original (Korean) 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo' which I really enjoyed, however, I couldn't hold my interest to keep watching.

I started watching 'Love and Destiny' out of curiosity and what a surprise, this show is actually very enjoyable to watch, story telling at good pace with comedic sides here and there and great actors, especially the ML and FL. The ML is not a typical 'pretty boy' man but a grownup masculine handsome man, a breath of fresh air in CDrama.

I've heard 'Love in Flames of War' is the same genre.

I think her mind is unconsciously putting boundaries/guard rails because of the bad things that happened to her in the past. It would be hard to completely forget even if you wanted too.

I think she grew to love him too. Putting myself in her shoes, no doubt she forgave him but you could not easily erase past bad memory even if you wanted to. She would unconsciously set healthy boundaries to persevere and live well. I could see that they had deeper bond and trust, and her love was lasting love built through steady, ongoing actions.

Just my 2 cents, for LanXiang the trauma from the family massacre and succeeding events was very deep. Although she forgave the forced marriage by LinJinQi, damage was already done. There is the old saying 'you can forgive but not forget', she unconsciously set healthy boundaries.

I must say how much I enjoy Liu QueYi’s speaking voice in this drama (although I don’t understand the language ), so pleasant to the ears and rich with emotion, just WOW.
