Title And the Winner Is Love Spoiler
Ugh, same. His tears got to me too. But I think the thing is with Tou is that he never does ambiguity, which is…
I do want to check it out because I'm liking the main couple of this drama a lot. And I bet they do incorporate bits and pieces of the novel into the drama. I only discovered Luo Yun Xi early this year when I started Ashes of Love for the first time and I'm quite lucky that it's raining Luo Yun Xi in 2020, lol. I can't wait to check out his other dramas when they come out.

if it weren't for luo yunxi's beautiful gaze, i would absolutely hate him at this point
Who can resist Luo Yun Xi's tears? I dare anyone to try.

WTF?!!! Ugh, that kind of ruins Shang Guan Tou's character for me. I'm not so sure I want to read the novel anymore if the male character is such a piece of work. But thankfully I've been told the plot of the drama is different from the novel. I do think they're including the rape accusation in the drama because I saw a BTS where Tou was waking up dozy and attacked by Feng Zi's dad. Now Tou's dismissive attitude towards Feng Zi in the drama makes sense. My sister and I have been kind of making a joke out of Feng Zi's name right from the beginning, sounds like she's a crazy woman indeed.

"Xue Zhi definitely hated Feng Zi in the book. She also hated Feng Zi's dad. For what reason? Nothing, really. She just doesn't like them." Haha, sounds like novel Xue Zhi is kind of messed up too. Groan.

Now, I'm undecided about reading the novel, lol. I did read the final chapters where it's revealed that Tou has misunderstood Xue Zhi, which caused them so much misery and heartaches that she couldn't accept him. But it's alluded that in the end, she does. Dilemma!

Edit: I thought they did end up marrying in the novel? Not at the end but before Tou appears as Yu Chu Zhi.

Edit 2: Now some of the scenes in the trailers make sense. I saw a scene where all four leads standing in what seem to be a wedding preparation scene, Tou was trying to hold onto Xue Zhi and explains something but she pushes his hands away and Mu Yuan leads her away from the scene. Also a scene where Tou hugs Feng Zi without any expression or emotion on his face. Omg, I can feel the angst already! I'm so excited for the plot to unravel and the couple to profess their love for one another.

I figured as much, very rarely adaptations stay true to their source materials because there are a lot to consider like how many time has lapse between source material and current production, the current viewers trend, production values, producers and investors' demand and etc.

I just want to read the novel so I can get the sense of the couple in the book. I did read the final chapters and realize there's a misunderstanding between Xue Zhi and Tou, in which he thought she fell for Mu Yuan when in reality she thought Mu Yuan was Tou, idk how that happened but I'm interested in finding out. I'm quite disappointed there's little mention of Tou in the final chapters, they mostly focus on Xue Zhi and their son. Hopefully I can spare some time to read the novel.

IKR! For me, it probably stirs up all the memories I have of Luo Yunxi in his other dramas - he's always dealt…
I only ever saw Leo Luo in Ashes of Love, but he impressed me so much that I couldn't root the main couple in the end, it left a bitter taste in my mouth that he had to endure everything quietly and everyone kind of took him for granted and didn't fight for him. He was expected to do the right thing and make all the sacrifices, Phoenix didn't even hesitate to fight his brother for the girl although they were betrothed.

This is how romantic scenes are done...Hey director and actors of Legend of Awakening, take a moment to take good…
I am so impressed with how Leo executes his lines so perfectly with a gentle smile nary a smirk because his lines are pretty cheesy, some he contributed on the spot. But I love how flirty he is in this.

I feel that if they had revealed about grandpa scheme against XueZhi in later eps it would have been a bit more…
Nope, I think that plot is weak and overused, I'm glad they kept it short. But I suspect keeping his father's death by the hands of her father secret will bite them both in the ass soon enough.

You should see the BTS of the lantern scene. Yukee's ear went red and everyone teased her. So cute!
I know right! And I was laughing my head off when the guys couldn't carry her for long in one bts and she's like "yeah, yeah, I'm heavy" and the guys keep protesting that she's light. I want moarrrr.

Mind sharing the plot keys in the book? I haven't started reading it properly but I did read the final chapters and the chapter where Xue Zhi and Mu Yuan first saw Yu Chu Zhi.

If you can watch it on mobile, download iQIYI. It requires subscription but the subs are pretty fast, they're…
I usually subscribe any streaming apps that have my favorite shows. Plus I can watch them on my Android box. Really convenient.

damn i really wanna see bald Shangguan Tou LMAO
I swear I saw one of the BTS clips showing Leo with the bald head but I can't remember which one. I think it's one where he was complaining about his hair messing up a scene and he should be bald.

Could someone tell me when the episodes get subbed? Like what day?
Probably like a day after the broadcast. 2 episodes are released every Thu, Fri, Sat and Sun. 16 episodes have been released so far, with 1-10 released on the first day for VIP users. iQIYI is catching up on the subs and they're up to episodes 12.

Can I please know where everyone is watching this drama - subbed in English? I'm seeing all these episodes I haven't…
I watch the subbed version on iQIYI. Some said it's on Viki but unfortunately it's blocked on my region. Plus iQIYI subscription is cheaper than Viki for me and it has Dolby sound quality option.

Where do I go to watch episodes?
If you can watch it on mobile, download iQIYI. It requires subscription but the subs are pretty fast, they're up to episode 12 now. If you're willing to watch it raw, download 第一影视, that's where I catch up on mine and they upload the episode pretty fast on the day of broadcast.

16 episodes "quick" review for recent newcomers:1. I stick to what I've said before. Nice costumes, sets and overall…
I'm a fan of sugary sweet romance drama, but I like my drama with a tinge of angst and tragic story. So far this drama is hitting all the right notes for me and I like the fact that I don't have to wait long to see real interactions between main couple and they get right into it with the moony eyes. So adorable.

I actually feel that the cinematography is top notch considering the budget, especially in the Moon Valley. Acting wise, everyone is doing decent to good, Leo is carrying the drama no doubt. The plot could be better but I'm not complaining...yet. I can understand characters motivation, growth and development so it's doing its job. I agree with old school C-drama wuxia vibe, I think it's mainly because of the songs, they give off the vibe. I think Ermei sect leader's eyebrows are a joke but it doesn't take away the story, I do linger a few seconds on them sometimes because of how imposing they are, haha. Pacing is good as of right now, it's not too fast or too slow for me. I presume it'll get a little worst before it gets better in the middle because that's when the suffering and angst start. But I actually can't wait to see that!

Lol, I watched this over and over again. I love how Leo tries to improvise the script and discuss it with Yukee. Even in the episode 12 scene where Xue Zhi rejected Tou's help, Leo discussed the emotion behind the words with Yukee.

At which episode?
Nope, he and Xue Zhi decided to stay at the disease centre because they both have immunity against the disease thanks to the poison immune pill. I think he seems weak because he didn't have the inner energy, and Xue Zhi saw right through it.
