i myself am asian though? my criticism isnt even with skinship, it's with the idea of getting engaged to a person you barely know and promising marriage, instead of first dating them. thats also i used the word "accidentally", because i dont think thats they were aiming for, thats how it accidentally came across.
imo, the fl is smart and very capable, but she's young and inexperienced, so there are things she has to learn…

i am on the fence of starting this drama as a HUGE dyx fan who is often let down by his drama choices -- could you guys please let me know if the FL is smart, capable and cunning, or is she just surface-level smart but ends up being damsel in distress more often?

EXACTLY! and i think i blame it on the writer(s) more because she;s such a 2D character with no life of her own, or a backstory which gives us even a glimpse of why she is so. she is just a pain in the ass, just cuz the script says so.
