I've watched love 020, it was plain, simple and beautiful. No stupid melodrama or filthy villains or plots.…
The move love 020 was even better than the drama.
Soju Nov 16, 2017
Thanks for the list.

I personally like love 020 the movie better as I don't care much for Angelbaby.

Boss and Me, My name is Kim Sam Soon, Emergency Couple, Oh My Venus and It's Ok thats love are some of my all time favorite shows. If you have watched Because of you, you really need to and the chemistry is off the charts between our two main leads.

I enjoyed your article and watched every show on your list. Cubic I myself am a Mint fan so thought her adorable. The male was pretty but very wooden...if you know what I mean. The High School Male was more interesting. But Thai Lakorns in general lack good special affects. They just recently got HD so they are quite behind the times in a lot of ways but I will admit I am quite the fan.

I love my President was like a train wreck I couldn't stand to look away from. The end was a little lack luster in my opinion but I loved it. Psycho and all.

I think the one that left me...going ....why am I watching this was Full House 2. The leads never seemed to work for me.

I tried to find the name of the Japanese drama that was so bad but I kept watching but it wasn't on my list. If I do get pulled into a drama that I don't know why I am watching it is usually a Japanese one.

I wasn't able to find any streaming links, but as @Ginger says, you can download English subbed episodes from…
The links don't work anymore. http://lakornsworld2.blogspot.com/ can tell you where to find as the Viki links are down too. It is an srt video type and I can't figure out how to watch on my media player but hopefully someone else can and enjoy this file. It is one of my absolute favorites. As is Massaya which you can watch on youtube with english subs. The Andrew version is the best in my opinion. In the youtube version is doesn't explain that Lak and Massaya though called cousins have no blood relationship but it is explained in other versions. I think it must be a translation problem.

I definitely like this version the best. Mainly because the chemistry is better between the two leads and in this version Monthai figures out sooner that Bpee is the true gold. The dialog is better and the explanation of Bpee's feelings of gratitude towards her tormentors is better explained.

I was planning on watching the remake but ended up watching this version first because of Andrew and so far it's…
I think there is a book originally and a previous version that explain they are not blood related cousins. Also the most original version explains that in detail. I think something was probably lost in the translation on this version.

I watched this with English subs years ago and I remember it well even today. It was a very sad show but strangely addicting. The sex scenes are intense and heartbreaking as the characters are seeking love in a very destructive way. Kim Rae Won character has the healthiest outlook on life and it pretty well sucked. I would recommend watching this with subs if you don't speak Korean as the dialog is really important your understanding of the show.

I'm a pretty tough cookie about dramas - I like the emotionally draining, sad, sad, sad parts! - but I think watching…
I feel like I run a temp when I cry..and I don't cry pretty...swollen face, runny nose and then to add insult to injury I end up with a terrible headache. That is why I really try to avoid dramas with sad endings...who wants to be ugly with a headache!

I can relate to all 5... One more kind of mishap that happens to me all the time: I don't have any furniture in…
I have a standing desk, and lucky for me I work out of my house...at any rate I have my work crap on one screen and a drama on the second screen. I sometimes get so engrossed in the drama that I forget to move and my knees freeze up and I have literally tipped over. So now I play Kpop in the back ground so that I keep moving and I will admit I have had to cut back on my dramas, I'm too old to fall down like that and it not HURT!

I totally agree with you with the 2) and 4) I was crying soooo much when I watched "the 100th Love with you"(movie)…
No, the toilet is the place to go sit if you are waiting for a phone call...never fails.

Lmaaao Which drama inspired such nose spewing may I ask? ;)
I just read your profile and laughed myself silly. You are my kind of girl. I too am a G Dragon fan and am especially fond of all his ballads. "If You" or "Blue" are especially dear to me.

The drunk episode from My Love from another Star. It was the drunk dialing which did me in, probably as I have personal experience with that particular mistake. But all of it is classic humor... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VV13fzta_-M

Great Job...I would have to get off the couch for the ninja moves so that has never been an issue for me but the other two are a definite yes. Although in my case the laughter evolved into coke spewing from my nose as I choked on a laugh while taking a swallow. Not Pleasant.

Can someone suggest some dramas that don't have the stuff listed here? Out of the dramas I've seen more than half…
Smile, You had a horrible Mother in Law situation which later resolved but I don't remember anyone getting slapped or really drug around. Murphys Law of Love seemed pretty tame in the abuse department as did Boss and Me. I think a show that evidenced the changing times was "Heard it through the Grapevine" One percent of Something and the original One percent of Anything evidence the change in attitudes just since both those films were made. Even though our male lead in the latest version is dominating he can't get away with anything she doesn't want to give him. Mothers seem to be really horrible in Asia which I really can't understand...it is like we are perpetuating a bad situations for our daughters to follow.

I am in a chat group of women who like me are crazy for Asian Dramas. They are from all over the world and in our discussions I have found that most of the live in male dominated and in my opinion abusive situations. They either still live at home, are afraid of their fathers or can not find jobs so are stuck in dead end situations. Most of them are better educated than I am in many ways, but they just don't have the opportunities that I have had.

I watch all kinds of Asian dramas as I am fascinated by the different cultures and how we have all evolved and are evolving. Of those I watch the Thai is the most abusive and censored format. Rape seems to pretty much stands for foreplay. But there are bright spots even there and things are improving even there. If you just watch the many versions of Ngao Asoke you will notice that as the years progress the show doesn't portray quite as abusive society. Don't get me wrong it is extremely abusive, but it is a window into their culture. Ngao Asoke 1999 is one of my favorite lakorns second to Massaya 2000 and Prissana with Tic. The few Indian and Malaysian I have watched turned me off completely and I have no desire to watch any more of those no matter how much I am curious about the culture.

I don't understand why I am like one com-mentor who is strangely attracted to strong and certainly by American standards domineering abusive or even semi abusive Asian male characters. It must be a Cinderella syndrome. I would never put up with it in my personal life and although women here do still take the back seat to men it is more of an educational economical phenomenon than the norm. I also think that women are usually the nurturers and more likely to compromise for peace in the family than not. Some people might take this as a weakness, but it actually our greatest strength in my opinion.

Equal Pay for Equal Work is the largest factor in Western countries for women's "liberation". If you are not stuck in a situation because you cannot financially leave then you have more options. The women in these Asian dramas all make me grateful that I grew up in the USA. I think it is akin to watching a train wreck. You want to look away but you just can't.
