I actually thought the gender equality part of it was portrayed quite well. In almost every episode we got to see how different the people in her city lived compared to our own history, she didn't come to the realization immediately herself, but she had been speaking since early episodes about gender equality, in this case speaking up for the guys, even though it was more subtle at times.

Finally someone else said it. I first saw a clip of this drama after destiny of white snake, the hair, the dark clothes and husky voice gave me Levi vibes. It's the main reason I watched this

Ep 31 did make me feel like crying though, especially the ending.
But the final episode felt too rushed, cobbling together a kidnapping plot and a happy ending in the last ten minutes or so.
I love this for the male lead but it could have been better.

Not gonna lie, they had me in the first half. On a serious note, somewhere around episode 26? Can't remember specifically but it went downhill for me. I was okay with just focussing on the leads and their relationship, but overcomplicating it with jealous extras going to extremes ruined it for me. I skipped a lot from there to the ending, anything but the fluff was pointless to me.

Men in design, who design clothes for women, don't need to be gay. Fashion, like many other industries, have no limits on gender or sexual orientation.

I never claimed it was deep, and there's nothing wrong with being short, but there's also no issue either if he wears heels or insoles to increase his height or not.

If he wants to wear shoes with heels or insoles (or the director asked for it) then I think it's fine. No one questions it when a woman wears heels after all, I've watched more shows where the women's height fluctuated around the males in dramas.

Is this based on a novel? Because the description reminds me of a web-novel I started and dropped because both leads were too frustrating.

First time I was actually perfectly okay with a tragic ending. Now I'm free to imagine a HE for all characters (since this is a fantasy anyway, let's just make them all reincarnate and find their old memories only once they're already happy.)

Love the FL in the beginning, though she definitely frustrated me in parts, and at times, I wanted to slap her! But in the beginning, before she started causing trouble, she was cute. Seeing her trying to learn to walk and eat like a person was hilarious!
I loved the ML, too. How he was always there for the FL, how he could never put everything and everyone else before her. I would have liked more sweet moments and an actual kiss between them, but the actor was apparently married by this point so that could have had something to do with it. He looked amazing with white hair at the end there!
The so-called 'villains' were irritating (I mean Leng Ning and Taotie), I felt sympathetic for the Demon Emperor, his life and end was just tragic. I'll admit, I skipped a lot since I couldn't continue with my work before I finished this thing, but it was a pretty good story. If only the Demon Emperor got a better resolution. He was the whole reason I didn't mind the ending being tragic.

episode 52, getting to the demon emperor's backstory and the mc is now pissing me off. if the ending is tragic i might actually not be that sad.

Now this is a romcom that is actually funny, they're usually cringey and secondhand embarrassment always kicks in so I tend to skip on scenes. There were minimal moments I skipped on this one because it's really funny. Interactions with their guards/attendants is especially funny.

Obviously wouldn't expect this to happen in the drama, that's usually what I have fanfics for, but Asian dramas don't have as much as anime and manga.

It's good to know tho. At least I know not to read the novel, but honestly, the only good cultivator stories are all bl.

I'm surprised with all the incest fanfics on this, no one thought of a harem/threesome ending. Not that it has much fanfiction to begin with

I love this, but wow, the angst.

6 episodes in, and I kinda feel bad for Joon Hee. He loved this girl unrequited for 20 years and is STILL stuck as second lead. He's obviously a bit misguided but I still feel sorry for him.

Okay that's actually ridiculously harsh... he DOES have a dialect, because that's a thing in South Korea, who knows where he picked it up, and he also dies. I know he's just a character but wow.

I don't believe it either but the drama explains it as "cellular memory" where memory is actually stored in cells and organ transplant obviously brings new cells that mingle with the body. I was surprised that it's a real thing but even in real life it's not a proven thing just something that's speculated. However, this IS a drama.
