They're the most annoying part of the plot. They're still friends of FL (at ep 10 at least). And they tried to…
I kind of knew nothing would happen to them, I just hoped they got arrested or sued or something. Kdramas are way too laid back about stuff like this. Now I'm even less interested in watching.
Rewatching this again and I'm only realizing how annoying Shinji actually is. She literally caused all of her problems and helped with some of Minyoung's, too. Not that he's perfect but I actually love his sarcastic quips so I don't find him nearly as annoying.
I'm not really interested in watching this, I just read "her friends sold her house" and it's really tempting. I hope she actually does something about it, in normal dramas behavior like this gets ignored.
Rewatched it again, and it is so sad, but so good. Kim Woo Bin killed it in his role, and honestly, he's the only one I was really paying attention to in the rewatch (I didn't even watch all of it, I couldn't look at the last ep.) I remember not being his biggest fan before (only really watched and liked him in School 2013) but I loved him in this role, and he's finally back to acting after taking a break for several years! I can't wait to see him acting again.
He was pushed to be the bad guy because of how he was treated, the girl he liked didn`t like him, in school the…
uh, if by the cop you don't care for you mean the FL's fiance, then I'm sorry, but what he did wasn't wrong. Even if Joon Hee didn't start out with those intentions, if you commit a crime, then you're committing a crime, and it is punishable by law. Was his life screwed up in a lot of ways? Yes. But that didn't excuse his actions, and it sure as hell didn't excuse him killing said cop, the fiance of the woman he loved, and trying to court her immediately after he murdered her fiance. I felt sorry for him, yes, but I didn't excuse anything he did and if my comment came off that way, I apologize. He absolutely deserved to get arrested at the end.
Though there were parts I liked and parts that made me cry, I could give this drama a negative rating for what they did to the poor kid with the same illness as the doctor. It's a ploy by writers to squeeze the most tears and heartache from us watchers (and it works, at least on me.) The same happened in Hello Monster/Remember Me. They brought in this cute kid that kinda acts like a foil for the main lead and then killed him! What makes me madder is that Gi Seok really didn't have hope for life at first, and he gets it then he's brought to the hospital a second time, and it's pulled away from him in a very unfair way. He was saved, and killed off in the same episode! I couldn't even see the scene, I was so upset, considering he's the reason I started watching this drama. The drama doesn't even show if the ones responsible, a bunch of bullies, faced any consequences. I'll put this in a spoiler, but if I know some people can get triggered by this kind of thing. Anyway, besides the writers puling that card, it's a decent enough drama. I'm being very emotional on the second to last episode, but I pretty much skipped a lot of the romance because I just wasn't feeling it, and I skipped a large portion of the last three episodes. Everything else, dealing with the patience, was nice.
In the original Mermaid fairy tale,, the Mermaid has her eyes on the Prince who already has a fiance. The title…
But the mermaid didn't know the prince had a fiance from the beginning - her dad also didn't leave her family for the fiance's mother and she didn't have her eyes on the prince for revenge (she just innocently and blindly fell in love). So it's still kind of misleading.
Yes! I’m glad that I’m not the only one that thinks the plot should have gone differently with Zhan Huang.…
Right? Like from the beginning I was already questioning the logic of her character sometimes but I could still pull through, but the parts with her and Zhang Huang were just painful to watch because she turned into such a huge hypocrite! (And the actor IS fabulous. I've been watching him in other dramas and love him in every costume drama I've seen so far. He deserved better, honestly.)
Sadly saw this from the middle after a clip on YouTube got me interested. I'll be going back to watch from the…
Honestly, everyone is complaining about Bai Jue's decisions, and while I don't like it either, I could honestly understand. In the first place, he was the one who pushed her to be chief god, not knowing she'd have to sacrifice herself. So in the end, it must have felt like he'd killed her with his own hands. Then he comes back and not only is he not in full power, he still has to handle the tribulation later, so he's preparing while cultivating the power of chaos. Meanwhile there's Wu Huan who's strong and growing stronger, he has no evidence to condemn her and even for a true god it seems you can't just say stuff and have it be taken as law, because they have rules. And finally, the issue of Qingmu and Houchi (who, by the way, I don't think disappear at all. Their sense of self just expands because they were always Bai Jue and Shanggu less around 100,000 years of memory.) I don't think he meant to entangle with Shanggu/Houchi in this world, which is why he wore a mask while he spent time with her as Bo Xuan. He never meant for the two of them to get together because Bai Jue was always going to return, and so was Shanggu, or else Wu Huan's plot would have won. When he finds out Houchi is pregnant, it's just one more person he needs to protect. Considering the sacrifice it took to take care of Xianyi, the devil from before, these are obviously enemies with power he could not have dealt with alone. And in this one scene particularly while at his wedding, he didn't mean for anything to happen to her. He just wanted to cut ties since he was going to kill himself anyway so why give her the heart ache. He asked for Gu Jun to come and take her away and likely panicked when Wu Huan insisted on stopping them, then more bad luck when Tianqi appeared and started a fight he didn't need to, and in the distraction, giving Wu Huan a chance to attack. He took the stab because he felt pain, too, and he knew he deserves it, and he would have taken it anyway to soothe her anger because he still loved her, just couldn't be with her in this life
I'm in the middle of this (ep 20 and not much has happened) I've skipped a lot of scenes but I actually really appreciate the male lead. It's rare in a drama to have a puppy male lead who's ferocious when fighting for the FL and playful when she wants to be. Usually, they're stuck as second male leads (I'll never forgive School 2015 and You're Beautiful for this) so I'm sticking with his for now though I barely know what's supposed to be happening outside of the CP.
Finally finished this a few days ago. Some of the FL's actions came off as too dumb to me, though she's understandable to a point. There's a moment of noble idiocy but I'm glad the ML doesn't let her get away with it.
It’s funny but nothing interesting. In my opinion I think It’s overrated.
I don't think it's overrated, just not your taste. Plenty of other people like it, they're not wrong, they just like different things. Personally, I like most of it and can see why others give it a high rating, but frustrating actions by the characters killed my enjoyment a bit.
Did the male lead seriously try to rape the female lead!!! Why is no one talking about ep. 19?!
He wanted to check her Kung Fu in that scene because he no longer trusts her, he stopped when she pushed him and started crying because he got what he wanted and he didn't actually want to make her cry.
I don't quite know how to explain it but I think the 3rd and 5th con you mentioned are supposed to be that way.…
I honestly don't think the women dominated city is that shallow, actually, just that it's not delved into since this is mainly a romance. Even in our reality matriachial societies have existed, societies were women had power higher than men. In a similar way men in ancient times decided women were the weaker sex, the female founder of the city decided women would subjugate men and not the other way around. If it was unique in the world I can't imagine it was easy setting it up, but as displayed today, once people get used to certain habits, it's hard to break as a society. That's likely why we still fight for gender equality today.
I felt sorry for him, yes, but I didn't excuse anything he did and if my comment came off that way, I apologize. He absolutely deserved to get arrested at the end.
