Man things are just realll slow here. Nothing much is going anywhere. The poster suggests romance, I keep expecting romance, but not seeing any XD. After tonight's ep preview, next week's doesn't seem promising either. Are they going to compile all the romance in last 5 eps? I had high hopes for this drama to be a real good romantic drama, but so far it's just a good to watch friendship drama.
Pretty entertaining for a Japanese drama if you're not the nitpicky type like me. Otherwise you'll keep seeing holes everywhere that makes no sense. lol
It got me wondering who supplied him with the drugs in the first place. What I'd like to know is if they're also cracking down on the drug suppliers. I mean it can't just be him that's getting the punishment.
Watching this so far makes me feel hopeless and sorry for Rembrary because he seems to have no help whatsoever facing the devil. He's just doing it all by his lonesome self.
Where was this filmed? I've not read the novel and am only on the 2nd ep but the location is different than the usual C dramas I've seen. I notice Qining was mentioned and googled it but only found that it's in Tibet?
Soo,, it's actually a sad ending where they don't get together, and the last ep is only the ML dreaming about their happy end, right? Watched raw, so just wanted to make sure :D
I was about to recommend watching another ongoing drama "Warm on a Cold Night" instead of this, when I realized both dramas used the same filming location. It's the bamboo forest residence the leads use to live in the last of the few episodes here, which shows up in the latest episode of "Warm on a Cold Night". It's interesting because recognizing familiar filming location (interior) is common for me in Korean dramas (some have been used countless times over & over again) but this is the first time I noticed it in a C drama, Haha.
Well, tried hard to finish this, and managed to do so by ffw-ing through the last 7 eps . LOL! Nearing the end unfortunately it went with the downhill trend. Everything was all over the place with the same things being repeated by going back and forth, back and forth. The FL had no character progression whatsoever even tho this is supposedly her story (the journey of chong zi), same with the ML. I even got more interested in the supporting characters as opposed to the leads XD. Zhuo Hao is one I feel has a more satisfying development in the end. Despite all that the last episode (41) provided the closure needed, aside from the useless flashbacks to the various moments the leads had.
What I got from all this: 1. There's so many profound life lessons you can gain from a raw egg. 2. Wanna see Gude? Get lazy. 3. Thanks to Shakipiyo this whole Gudetama series can exist. 4. EWW. Would YOU eat raw egg that's been out & about for days? 5. Amazing how a short story about a lazy raw egg can make you contemplate numerous philosophical matters. 6. Just, WOW.
Welp, Ep 27 wasn't surprising at all for me, gotta say I knew Mu Yu's identity was with the other side ever since I first saw him :D There's something about the glimpses of suspicious vibe he gives off from day 1 of his appearance. On a side note, I thought this was a 30/36 eps series. Was quite surprised when I saw 40 there XD Wow, still a way to go
Frankly there seems to be a disconnect between the quality of the cast and the quality of camera and sound. Cast is quite a good well-known bunch, but the lacking audio+ music and the lack of movie-quality picture kind of puts me off. It feels like those 120 episodes morning family dramas instead of a supposed "movie" to me.
This is honestly a very mehh so-so drama to watch just to kill time. Nothing special, which is why I'm still watching, although at ep 15 I nonchalantly thought, "Oh, it's 15 already?" XD
Anywayy,, that hospital escape scene got me thinking how dumb can that police guard be? Seeing the broken window and tied sheets , he automatically assumes that an old man like that can manage to escape through the window a few stories up? Dude should've paused, think, and checked the wardrobe. Then it would've been a funnier scene where I can already hear " Kakk Kung~!" when they lock eyes. LOL!
Wow what a magnificent production! At the beginning Zhang Ping's character was so irritating that I put the show on hold at ep 5, but then I'm glad I continued on because it got better and better. So much so that I don't think I've ever fallen for a C drama like this before. It is captivating in every way. I'm usually biased towards romance dramas, but even tho this has no romance, this drama currently tops them all.
Most times I also watch everything in 2x speed, but for the entire episodes of this series I even savored every quiet and slow moments in it. It's just so mesmerizing it's worth all my time and attention! I really recommend it :)
