After watching the first episode, I thought that this drama will just fall in the line of "You're never too old to dream". But as the story progressed, it was more than that - there's familial love, facing an imminent neurologic disease, finding your purpose and what makes you truly happy, and finding someone who'll inspire and support you all the way.
This is the inspirational drama I never knew I needed. It was refreshing to see a Korean drama which tackles deeper themes in contrast to countless romantic storylines that define them. And with that, this is my favorite Kdrama to date.
P.S. I'm the type of person who doesn't usually cry in dramatic scenes, but I've shed tears a couple of times in this drama. Chae rok's dance at the park in the middle of the snow to make Deok chul remember him is my favorite scene.
Unlike what's usually depicted in medical dramas like Grey's Anatomy, House MD, and The Good Doctor, Nakuna Kenshui (bravely) shows the ugly side of medicine where residents are constantly at the mercy of consultants because they are "in training". Unfortunately, this is not known by many. Hope this show will serve as an eye-opener.
Loved the friendship and trust forged among the 5 leads.
Been shipping Shimazaki san and Tachihara sensei so bad and was really looking forward to their date at the end, but then they had to part ways for their personal growth.
WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT 'I AM YOU, AND YOU ARE ME' WAS A WAY OF SAYING I LOVE YOU? Takahashi Issei & Ayase…
Now that you've mentioned it, I agree with your theory that Hidaka dolled up Mochizuki in order to tease her, and it's not romantic attraction per se but admiration borne out of respect from getting to knowing each other better after they've switched
For the letter, my "gay theory" was before it was revealed that Azuma was the one who gave the letter, so your recollection is correct
And it's just sad that Hidaka's love for Azuma (plus the guilt regarding his brother's miserable life) drove him to cover up the crime. Glad that he stopped being stubborn and listened to Mochizuki at the end :)

Agree! It did not occur to me that the leads will fall in love. During the first episodes, I honestly thought Hidaka was gay since he dolled up and dressed Mochizuki fashionably when he was in her body plus the fact that the person who sent him a "love letter" in the past could have been a boy.
This made me wonder if the reason behind Hidaka's gesture is because he was starting to develop feelings for Mochizuki.

A recommended watch for everyone.
And yes - I adored Mitsushima Hikari's role in Quartet
I echo Yoko-san's sentiment that justice should not be used as a knife to punish/hurt people, but should function as a shield to protect their hearts.
P.S. The dance at the end is really captivating!

It made me appreciate fathers throughout the globe more

Wish the duration of the episodes were longer to explore and develop the characters more.
