This never happened. The story was invented by this guy's agency, written (badly) by AI or one of the agency's…
He has broad, flared nostrils. On a Korean or Chinese actor, those are usually a sign they didn't do a nose job as that is not the desired look they go for.
I will always blame the director for deleting such crucial scenes regarding MingYi's trauma which was one of the…
Thanks so much for sharing this information!
Do you know if there are leaked clips or parts of the script for the deleted scenes?
I like this drama so far but I still think it's a real pity it hasn't shown more of the FL's past. Everyone got flashbacks that explain why they became the way they are, but the FL got almost nothing. She's literally a main character and yet I understand her characterisation even less than the doctor's or even the fox lady's.
It's disappointing to hear they actually filmed such scenes but didn't include them in the final product for whatever reason 😕
It's incredible that with this main cast, this director (he made The Double, a very entertaining drama!) and it being a WeTV production, the drama still turned out this way. The storytelling makes me feel like I'm watching a low budget mini drama honestly.
I'm really interested in the ML's character but not sure if it's worth continuing :(
Watching episode 1 and the fl described the Ml as eccentric and scheming. Huh! How did she come up with this?…
I started watching this drama yesterday and had the exact same thought as you.
The FL barely had any interactions with him before drawing a conclusion about his personality. From what I understand, she only knew his father and because the ML's personality is different from his, she even suspects he may not be the real son. And we got all that in the first two episodes? 😅
It would've made more sense to me if she had known him as a little boy and her impression of him/her suspicion developed over the course of a few episodes. As it is, it feels too rushed.
This is a rebirth drama but isn't the rebirth plots not allowed by the government? How will they move past censorship…
My boring answer to your question: We will know once this drama airs.
Chinese censorship rules are confusing and there are lots of half-truths about it floating around on Mydramalist.
Many dramas contain themes of rebirth and reincarnation without any work-arounds like "it was all just a dream". This pretty much proves rebirth is actually not across-the-board forbidden because if something is truly censored, you will definitely not see it in a single Chinese drama, e.g. full nudity, gore.
Too many plot armours for the fl but I'm not complaining in fact I'm here for it!!The ml's story got compromised…
Thanks for sharing your more neutral thoughts on this drama. I wonder if I'll feel this way about it once I've watched more episodes.
Most dramas that get a lot of hype fall flat for me, perhaps because I go in with very high expectations but finish them thinking they could have been better or they were just average. Hopefully that won't be the case with this drama 😆
With how long the intro is ..you can tell this was supposed to be a full length drama that went through HEAVY…
I find that unlikely.
This director only makes short dramas and, as far as I know, there has never been a case where a drama with 45-minute episodes got edited down to only have 15-minute episodes.
The intro length might be because they probably didn't know how to cut the song shorter without "butchering" it.
I've always wanted to watch a reincarnation story with a third lifetime. Too bad the short-length format didn't allow for a longer, more elaborate story.
I still enjoyed the watch though. Definitely one of the better ones for a short drama with good production value and believable acting.
By the way, does anyone else find the ending to be bittersweet because the FL we've come to know in more than 20 episodes doesn't really exist in the end? 🥲
The author isn't very good at writing romance. It's not just Xiao Se and Qianluo. None of the couples, whether…
I love Mysterious Lotus Casebook. Actually I started watching this drama in hopes of finding a story with similar vibes and a character like Li Lianhua, but nothing I've seen comes close to it.
I’m rewatching this after some time and I forgot how annoying Qian Luo is. the whole drama could’ve been without…
The author isn't very good at writing romance. It's not just Xiao Se and Qianluo. None of the couples, whether they're from the younger or older generation, make any sense to me 😅
But I don't think romance itself is the problem. After all many great stories have romantic subplots, but they're well-integrated in the main plot and their development feels natural. In this drama though, it feels like the author paired up his characters randomly and had no idea how to properly work them into the plot.
I watched Dashing Youth and Blood River in sequence before watching The Blood of Youth and felt so confused. It…
I also assumed Tang Lian to be much older and was surprised to found out his age.
But the worst is the casting for Li Hanyi. She's supposed to be only 4 years younger than Sikong Changfeng, yet she looks like she could be his daughter! 🤯 Even her dubbing voice makes her sound quite young.
I'm enjoying this drama a lot, but my suspension of disbelief when it comes to ages can only go so far 😅
I watched a few episodes on both platforms to see the translation differences and there are only very few.

Criticism is fine, but negativity for the sake of negativity is just annoying to read.
I thought only historical romcoms have fewer episodes, but this looks like a more "serious" production.

And yep, they said it right in the drama in an earlier episode, meaning it's canon. Oh well.
