So how was the woman supposed to think? She took his silence to mean he chose Yao Yao. Yet, even thinking he probably chose his ex, she still ran after him TWICE. She even said she would still want to be with him EVEN IF Yao Yao's son was his, knowing by doing this she might follow the footstep of her mother when married her father. Please give my girl some slack!

tbh i don't think QS broke up with him just because of his mother. so no matter how much he explained i don't think she would change her mind. Sure his mother is a part of the reason. But don't think she loved him that much to risk committing to a family that is so hostile to her and her background. If his mother didn't intervene, they might get married but I don't think she would be very happy in the long run. So his mother's disapproval is a sign that probably confirms her intuition that this might not be a happy marriage for her. She even mentioned it herself in ep 39 that back then she thought she would marry a good man (TJH) and have a family. A good man and one who is suitable to be a good husband are basically her criteria for marriage back then. But she realizes now those are not the things she wants. QS loves challenges and she and YH got on so easily after knowing each other for a very short time is because he challenges her in so many ways that TJH cannot. He offers her different angles of the world, helps her look at things differently. Dude is a math nerd, has very strong principles and sense of justice AND being poetic about it?? Killer combo imo. he does not need words i think he was just not sure of her feelings towards him, words or not, before the divorce. during the divorce, he found out she really indeed loves him (he heard her conversation with Yao Yao for example). I don't like them separated but I do think the divorce is necessary for her to allow herself to feel.
