i notice the way QS acted towards TJH changed as she started having real feelings for YH. in the beginning (up until ep 11) whenever she was in front of TJH she avoided eyes contact, it's like she was still reminded of her past with him. as she and YH got closer, she acted way more casually around TJH, even joking with him and mocking him like old platonic friends.

I agree. He's the one who gave her a convoluted answer to a very simple question of "would you choose me over your ex" first, while she already told him in words that she is not interested in her ex in ep 23.

Him acting in secrecy about seeing his ex again also makes her feel like there's some lingering feelings. If he were direct with her about his relationship with Yao Yao, she wouldn't have been so insecure about their marriage.

I know lots of people think QS should be more overt about her feelings to YH but I like her subtle and private expression of love. It's consistent with her personality as someone who keeps things to herself and does not care what others think or understand/misunderstand about her/her life. When YH's mom asked her why she chose her son, QS's answer was "nothing" & when TJH asked "you're so anti-marriage and yet you married YH, why?" she did not answer. Because besides the fact that she does not owe them an answer, her reason cannot be voiced out loud easily to others. She fell in love with YH when he was at his lowest, without knowing anything about his glorious (and sad) past, so by standards of social acceptability which matters for people who asked her the question of "why YH?" (her mom, YH's mom, TJH), there is really no reason for her to choose him. Her love is unconditional and without a reason. She chose him out of a feeling, an intuition based on a weibo post, which seemed to be as fragile as her fake marriage but her choice turned out to be correct (how can it not when she's a good judge of characters and therefore she trusts herself) & she ended up getting a relationship that is grounded in mutual understanding, trust, and unconditional & unreasonable love which give it a much stronger foundation than any legal status. :)

i love that MeiMei involves Yang Hua in her marriage drama like he's part of the family even after they're divorced. she's ignoring the divorce just like me.

QS said that she's vindictive but she actually only holds grudges against people who did YH wrong. She holds no grudges when it comes to herself. She doesn't hold grudges against WF who tried to ruin her career, she even suggested TJH to get back to WF despite what WF did to her. She holds no grudges against Madam Tang who exploited her and treated her terribly, or even against TJH who angered her multiple times. She's a person who is kind and forgiving at heart and only focuses on improving herself to reach more success. However, the moment she found out about Wang Jiesen and what he did to YH, she immediately declared that man her ultimate enemy and put herself in danger to make sure he disappeared forever from the financial/investment field. She knew nothing about Yao Yao and yet came to YY's house to threaten her if she misled YH. Gotta love a wife who'll ride or die :')

i thought about that! i was trying to work around canon because it hurts my soul that he let her be heartbroken thinking he left with YY for SEVEN MONTHS, during which she probably blamed herself and thought she deserved this.

and so i assume that he texted her saying he didn't leave and was waiting for her but she blocked his number so she didn't get that text and he didn't reach out anymore because he thought she didn't want to talk.

yes this is what bothers me. early ep YH would also have punched TJH in ep 36.

literally all the relationships around her are so shitty. even her first brother and his wife's which is the most peaceful one and yet he cannot even say he's in love with his wife.

the last few eps both YH and QS are OCC for me. they talked to each other about their feelings and everything prior to ep 35. it would make sense for me if QS did not know she loved YH and thus cannot say it but she knew she loved him but cannot say it??? I understand a separation is necessary but making QS believe YH chose his ex for SEVEN MONTHS is unnecessarily cruel imo.

i also hate this "learning when to let go" message when its supposed to be both the stocks and relationship like pls your relationship is not a stock to put a bet on like that. where is the YH in prior eps who punched TJH? where is the YH who was possessive and won't let go of things he loves like his father said?
