There was unofficial insider info several days ago on twitter that our drama possibly air on September, after The Uncanny Counter 2, for Sat-Sun slots

It already explained during the eight year gap, Arthdal has succesfully surpressed the riots from the tribes who were previously persecuted by Tagon in the previous season. And under the command of Eunseom, the Ago tribe successfully unified all 30 tribes for the first time since 200 years ago during Inaishingi reign. 8 years time gap make sense.

And I agree, the only one with good heart only Eunseom. Even Tanya still looks antihero to me 🤣

since the old cast and old director resigned by their own will, i will say let's admire the courage of new casts to accept the offers already beloved by many fans, for them don't let us hanging.

also according to him in one comment, they still have around 50 shoots of filming left.

its not unusual for director or scriptwriter to use actors or staffs who previously worked with them. SJK himself, got his eunseom saya role because he worked with the screenwriter before in deep rooted tree and in reborn rich he previously worked with screenwriter in sunkyunkwan scandal. For JG himself its his second drama with this AC writer.
IMO, the rating of AC actually acceptable not flop like what many think lol. But yes, for such a high budget drama and very loud promotion (that time) they expect better rating. Also its the return of SJK and KJW after DOTS. Maybe its also the reason for AC2 they choose to being super low profile about it.

I'm no SSK fan so while I don't familiar with most of her filmography, I will also say the same thing, there is nothing out yet to compare. FYI if you don't know, this is SSK's fourth drama with AC'swriter (after six flying dragon, queen seondeok and deep rooted tree, all sageuk) so we can assume that's the reason they chose her as KJW's replacement. Also after casting news, there was news (from naver/korean website) saying that SSK actually first choice as Tanya back in season 1, but she rejected it and the role went to KJW. let's just say if the news was right, if it's meant to be, it will be

In other words, what you mean is the feel will be different, not because LJG isn't capable of it but because you saw first interpretation of Saya through SJK thats why you and many old actors fans already set the standard that only SJK can play the role. And you guys not being fair with LJG, because you only can decide which version is better if there is anything to compare and right now, nothing yet.
IMO, JG will be able to pull this kind of role no doubt about it, and of course the feel won't be the same with SJK's Saya. He is too good to be just SJK's copycat. Instead, he will make his own version of Saya.
About the replacement, since it happened because SJK rejected the role first, you guys better respect his decision and move on.

Why do u think its still questionable for him to play Saya? if about the character (dual character, cold character) he mastered it long before with his drama Time Between Dog and Wolf and recent example with Flower of Evil. If about appearance, he is the original, FIRST korea flower boy back in 2005 with his hit movie King and the Clown. You should watch the movie on netflix. And he is still super pretty now.

By saying new replaced actors will never be par as the previous one while nothing out yet to compare .. yeah right you are not being insulting and disrespectful to the other party🤡. But of course, old actors fans always think of their bias as all high and mighty and never do wrong. Even if the replacement happened because their bias who DECLINED to come back in the first place, new actors always the one to take the blame.

CJ E&M announced their drama productions this 2023 for TVN yesterday
Weekend dramas ( arranged according to its tentative release date)

The only exact premiere date we know for now is pandora on march 11. If both pandora and tale of the nine tailed have 16 episodes, Aramun's Sword will be aired no earlier than July 2023

Very much different with webtoon, but almost similar with novel with some exception like the season 2's enemy cameo, and the couple didnt get married, only dating.
