With all due respect, the college time in drama only took 4 episodes, the rest are him already as prosecutor so I dont understand what "out of age" you are talking about. In fact, director offered this role twice to him (JG rejected it first time) and in press conference told everyone in his mind only JG can play as Hee Woo. We can understand him after see so many action scenes since episode 1, I don't know any younger actors in his caliber ( in term of action skills) nowadays have that kind of skills. Even from all korean actors, only few can execute action scenes as well as JG (and without stunt doubles). Also, Korean viewers acceptance so far so good, They say it feels that they see Hee Woo ripped off straight from the novel/webtoon and the drama is so satisfying. I understand no drama can be everyone cup of tea but I just feel strange with the way you think he is not suitable with this role only because of his age, not because of his acting style. Do you know that his pictures in student outfit from this drama become viral in south korea several times and people been praise him as forever young ?

Logically, if most of people love the drama it means for general audience the drama is good. as simple as that. For me, I wont bother to leave comment if i dislike a drama i just drop it and move on. because i know me being like/dislike a drama most of time purely because of my own preference, not because the drama is overrated..
