I didn't quite enjoy this show. The movie started off well however I didn't quite enjoy the plot twists in the second half and came to dislike it at the very end. Maybe it just wasn't my piece of cake.
OMG This movie had the best wrap-up EVER! And it was mostly in the credits. That last scene... omg... wow! Amazing! Really well done. The cast does an awesome job acting and the music is really nice too! Loved the story line and no it didn't come across as cliched. Everything was explained and there wasn't a single part of this story that was left hanging! I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish.
I haven't seen the movie yet, but OMG NOW IT ALL MAKES SENSE! When I was in Tokyo, my friend insisted we take a picture in front of this dog statue and kept trying to explain the relevance to me. But I didn't get it because she wasn't fluent in English and I wasn't fluent in her native language. Just reading the plot made me understand the importance of that dog statue!
Cute story~ Will definitely give the movie a watch! :D
The random moment when Maki Hirokita walked by and they made a reference to Nobuta wo Produce was GREAT!~~ From the cat sounds and symbols, to the random gag performances by Kazuya Kamenashi and Hiroki Narimiya, I love the humour in this show! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
This movie is downright amazing! I wish I'd come across it last year. I was regretting so much, I wish I'd come across this gem at that time. During the past one year my friends help me get over my regrets and think about things positively. This movie put all my feelings together and it touched my heart. I was able to relate to each and every moment in my own way. I highly recommend this movie to people who are struggling. I think it's a masterpiece.
It just went onto my list of all time favourite movies.
I just on ep 1 and not liking the lead actress or some of the supporting cast. She's pretty bad at acting and…
Just an update: I watched the whole thing and hated her all the way through. I also tried to watch another drama because Janghyuk is in it, but she was so terrible at acting, I had to drop it. I can't stand this actress. There are so many better actresses in the Korean drama industry they could have picked for this role...
Why isn't this rated a bit higher?
I never watched the anime, or read the manga, but I think this movie was so well done. I loved the costumes and the plot wasn't bad. The acting was done well too.
This show was amazing up to ep 15 or so. The ending is pretty shitty but the rest of it is SO WELL done that you will forgive the writers for screwing up the ending! The music is just so lovely~ It's been years since I watched this show, but I still have this OST downloaded on my computer and listen to it ever so often. The lead actor, Kim Nam Gil, does a fantastic job however... the Han Ga In is pretty useless.
I know this is strange to ask... but... can someone compare this to "W" and let me know if it's better?…
Thank you everyone for your input! I will give the first episode a try. As Sophie said, I too was disappointed with W after ep.8. I'm hoping this one (despite the difference in genre) won't be a let down. That's kind of why I wanted a comparison. W was the most recent drama I watched and I couldn't bear to watch anything after it ended because it was such a train wreck. I needed to get over the trauma... lol
I know this is strange to ask... but... can someone compare this to "W" and let me know if it's better? In what ways? Is this worth the watch?
Please don't give me spoilers as I haven't seen this show yet. But I have seen W so you can give spoilers from there.
I watched this drama in the summer. During the holidays I must have seen at least 20-30 other (older) dramas and movies but this one remains my absolute fave! I keep coming back to this page for some reason. I really want the ratings to go up or stay within the 9 range. It's nothing less than a 9.5.
I don't usually download or re-watch dramas but I made it a point to download the whole show so that I can re-watch it some time. I'm also going to try and get my friends to watch it. It's just so amazing! <3
I really enjoyed this drama. It hooked me on from episode one. The Chinese cast was really good at acting~ however, the white people sucked pretty bad...
After they went to America, I feel like the drama slowed down a lot. The dialogue between actors started to sound more like lectures and bore me. Also the lead actress turned into this passive, tag-along. I really enjoy shows with strong female leads but this show failed at delivering that. It starts out with her being a smart and keen "police officer" but after she falls in love with the guy, her role suddenly changes into a passive lover who is for the most part, the male lead's weakness. He says she isn't, but it comes across like that once they fall in love.
Overall, I think it's well written but it could have easily been 20 episodes.
This drama is overrated. It's one of my list that I endure watching till it ends cause it started good.
I agree. The ratings on this are wayyyyyy too high for a show with so much bs...
I felt like Lee Jong Suk and Han Hyo Joo must have been annoyed with the script as the drama progressed. It seems like they were really enjoying it until episode 8. After that.. everything fell to shit. They must have really struggled to keep their act together while saying their ridiculous lines each week.
End of the show review: I'm kind of disappointed.... I expected something much more interesting than a mama's boy (Eiji) gone mad.
Let's accept the storyline as a "mama's boy gone mad" plot and review it, for what it is: Eiji could have just settled for taking away Shinji's personal number and ended things - considering how important personal numbers are in Japan, Shinji would have suffered a lot. I think Eiji's idea of befriending Shinichi and then trying to get him to kill him (Eiji) was stupid reasoning. To add to that, Eiji's body wasn't found at all, does that mean he's alive? Are they hinting at a season 2 - where Eiji comes back and tries to get Shinji to commit a murder again? I hope not...
On a side note, I was really liking the build up to the city-wide blackout during which everyone's personal numbers would be erased. But that didn't end in a fun way either... :(
I'm watching this show and "Fated to Love You" the Korean version at the same time. While both are supposed to be Rom/Coms, I'm definitely enjoying this one more. <3
Am I the only one who is having a hard time getting into this drama? 1st episode isn't hooking me somehow.
You probably are the only one....
This show is so damn amazing 20-30 dramas later I'm still not over it! I keep coming back to this page hoping that there might be a second season.
