They took the 'ordering food' skill pretty seriously for how little effort they actually put into its execution. But that's the story of this whole drama, so I'm not even surprised. Though I feel bad for being disappointed by Kuea's ordering abilities. That's like the definition of nitpicking.
Is the dog revelation the big traumatic incident that overshadows the whole Yi/Diao relationship? If so, I have no words.
"Yi's client gave him this dog." - I see, so we're spinning a web of lies. About a dog.
And just like that, Diao got infantilized too.
The rest of their scene was adorable! Very childish, but cute. #DiaoKuea #KueaDiao #JellyGang
"Your kid told my kid that his papa is an evil dog-eater! Punish him, or else..." π
I feel sick, too, Nu-Kuea π€
That's a face of a man who knows he won't be getting any tonight. Devastated.
"Why are you asking me this question again?" - Maybe because you were acting like a dick the last time he asked you. Be nice.
Have you watched something scary before going to bed, my child? Is that why you're having nightmares? Surely it couldn't be a result of the total mindfuckery I put you through! π
So they CAN get married in Thailand?! I'm confused.
I would have almost thought I am watching a touching drama about a single father and their ill child (with attachment issues). But then the "Will you be my boyfriend?" bomb dropped π
Kuea probably thinks becoming Hia's boyfriend would be a downgrade. Which, fair. I don't see the meaning of this, except being one big, empty, "romantic" gesture. You literally asked him to get married yesterday!
(At least you didn't ask him to fill out adoption papers. That would have been so much more messy. [I kinda want it to happen now, just so that I can talk shit about it])
Oh, now I understand why you asked him. For sexy time. I commend you for stopping midway, Hia.
Yi got tired of his situation, so he relegated the child care to a dog. It is what it is.
'Diao is the dog' analogy you're hitting me with is icky. On so many levels. Last but not least is having Yi be the established dog-eater. Am I overthinking this? Maybe. Would it soothe me in that case? No-o.
NuerSyn lasted less than a minute and all it was good for was to make me google a third precept of Buddhism. I hope there's more.
Ok, 2 minutes. Second minute being a 'is he, isn't he looking' drama. I don't expect much, and yet I'm still let down.
The moral lecture about teasing Kuea was good, I guess? Kinda like fixing a broken light bulb on a sinking ship, but still. Let's count our blessings π
Did you really expect those documents to just stay there? Oh, honey.
The photo! Make of it what you will. I, myself, am conflicted.
There's gonna be more NuerSyn in part 3! Yay π
Diao riding his bike to Dragon's Lair because Kuea needs him made me happy. But let's be honest. Between the two of them, Diao is way better friend than Kuea.
You called off the engagement in the first episode! And Lian just ignored it for the most part. What makes you think this time it will be any different?
Did I miss Nu-Kuea explaining the situation to Kon Diao? Has he texted it? Did they cut it? Is my brain malfunctioning? What's going on?
It's not your fault, Kuea! Don't cry π₯Ί You live in a nest of pathological liars that treat you like a naive child πππ
You're sweet, Diao. But there's no need to make excuses for them snakes.
Let Kuea and Diao make a home at Dragon's Lair. Screw both the Keerati family and Hias!
.... What youtube channel?
Another almost 2 minutes for Syn and Nuer. Sweet, but kinda empty. They don't have enough time for this pace.
What a nice drama this could have been, if only Kuea and Diao were the endgame π
This is how you make a heartwarming cooking scene! It's the thought that counts.
Diao keep eating the spaghetti might have been more powerful than Yi buying the dog. Maybe they can still fix their part of the mess.
Diao is too polite for the situation he's in. And Yi should have said it. Seriously. It's crucial for him to say it π
He did it!!! Thank gods. Great job, Hia! Seriously, you made me hate you way less. Good boy π
No! Let's not "forget about it". That's not how relationships work! You're improving, but still have a long way to go. Don't ruin the moment, please π
You're an angel, Diao.
I watched the whole sex scene. I felt so sad for Diao. And repulsed. Whoever wrote this, I hate you. It was way too much, way too soon, for no f*cking reason other than to f*ck. To say I'm disappointed would be an understatement.
I should have felt something during the ending scene. But no. I'm spent.
I didn't watch one single second but pressed on 4/4 and watched the steamy shit cuz that's all there is to this…
I heard there's also some NuerSyn/SynNuer this episode! Though I bet it's like three minutes hidden somewhere in the middle π
I'll get through it all just to find out how exactly they went from no talking at all to steamy shit solely by the means of an (subjectively) ugly, misgendered dog πΆ
After seeing the thumbnail for part 4/4 before starting today's episode, I decided to reschedule it for a later date. I don't have a patience to deal with this right now. Might watch it tomorrow. Maybe in a few days. Will certainly try to get it done before next Saturday. But just... wow. I need to prepare for this mentally first.
Ok maybe I am a bit off but I keep reading this series is 'toxic'. Please enlighten me on the toxicity because…
Others have already explained it way better than I ever could, so I will just paraphrase few things from the show that made me stop in tracks. They are pretty spoilery, so proceed with caution.
1. Lian said to Kuea at some points in this order : "If you ask me if I love you now, the answer would be no". "I'm only marrying you because of your grandfather". "I don't want to marry a doll". "Anabelle (said doll)". "I have never not loved you". "I only said I didn't love you because I didn't want to confess so lightly". "You never disappointed me". So you can see how their relationship "progressed".
2. "I have waited ages for this." By "this", he meant being intimate with Kuea. Make note that Kuea just reached maturity at this point and they have been "engaged" since Kuea was a child. Also, Kuea is acting as a bratty kid by now and Lia is calling him "naughty".
3. "It wouldn't be fun I told you" that Lian's the guy who basically kidnapped Kuea from a bar, forcefully kissed him in a car, invaded Kuea's private home and put him to sleep. Kuea protested against it every stop of the way and made it clear he doesn't know who's doing those things to him (Kuea was hammered). It was also soon after Kuea broke off his engagement to Lian.
4. "I forced you to come live with me because you wouldn't come if I just asked you". Yes, Lian forced Kuea to live with him. Kuea cried during the car ride.
5. "You can go wherever you want, as long as you behave." Lian is the one that decides whether Kuea behaves or not. Kuea missed an opportunity to talk with a famous music producer (who was interested in Kirin), because he couldn't slip past Lian to meet them.
The list goes on and on, but you get the hint. Also, all of this is portrayed as romantic in the show.
I asked that in my last review. So far as I can tell, Kirin is off the stage and Kuea's musical inspiration fled…
That's actually a very good point!! All of his songs can be considered directly related to his relationship with Lian. So we might not get any new heartwrenching songs from Kirin anytime soon. Although now that I think about it, the new "plot" development could be used for another hit! I still do have a silly hope, though not much of an expectation π
He could also make some mushy stuff in their honeymoon phase, but he's otherwise preoccupied right now π€
I got my 2nd dose, like a year ago. You're a little behind times.
What others said, plus the information about when/what vaccine to get can be confusing for some. One of my doctors had been telling me for half a year that I can't get the vaccine because I had an infection (which I still do), so I got vaccinated later than I intended and had to rush through the whole process. Also the guidelines change a lot country to country and based on exposure still.
While I recommend everyone to get vaccinated as soon as it's right for them (covid sucks), try to get multiple opinions beforehand (especially if someone tells you not to get it without any valid reasoning) and make sure to take the day or two off when getting it just to be safe π
Ep. 2 felt like a filler episode to me, but still a pretty cute one! The solution to their problem was so obvious we could have moved somewhere else instead. But I guess it's meant to show Kouta what a good guy Naoya is.
I don't understand why subtitles use their second names while audio adresses them by their first names, though. It's distracting.

So you don't have to worry so much π
