[Sorry for bad English] I was waiting for this to finish, I was so excited to finally start to watch this (i didn't…
The first couple episodes are harder because of the way ML is portrayed.
But remember- “bad behavior” doesn’t happen in a vacuum- I believe it is important to look at why.
Sometimes people treat a person badly, and pick on a persons weaknesses - and then, when the person reacts to their nastiness, they act all high and mighty “ how dare you get upset” and act as though they we not the ones who started it.
They are bullying him - once you start to move past this, and empathize was his plight, the drama unfolds beautifully and is a gorgeous show of human being fighting to overcome life’s struggles and their own sense of worthlessness.
Watch how these same people treat Eun A - it becomes a little more obvious how they’ve beeen treating Dung Man all along.

WOW! 🤩
Much deserved jump in ratings to 8.5!! Not the 9.0 I was hoping for, but much improved from the 8.2
Well deserved!!

Right now:
1) this will be my favorite drama of the year
And
2) this is the perfect time for me - i have 11 that I’ve already seen and I already know I’ll want to rewatch each of them.
And - I have one left - one left in which I can watch some more of these beautiful characters + I’m so exctied there are more scenes with Eun A and Dong Man.

The way they look at each other with so much love - it’s amazing how lovely they are to each other and how their warmth to each other warms my heart - and their love? This is so much more than hot and heavy attraction - it is just pure respect, honesty, compassion, concern - it’s real love - the best display of true love I’ve ever seen. So odd the genre isn’t listed as a romance - but I guess that’s because it isn’t about romantic love at all. Just love for another human’s well being. Gorgeous.

AND CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE REVEAL???"I'm Yeongsil, the writer Ma Jaeyoung is so desperate to hide."GIRL…
I know - i want to be friends with Eun A and Dong Man - The atmosphere - it reminds me of the warmth at the bar where the brothers hung out in My Mister.
I don’t want to leave this world that this writer created either 🥺

Title We Are All Trying Here Spoiler
“I know very well that the woke agenda will never allow this drama to receive a high rating. It talks about…
Maria - I love this show, I love Jesus + I also love what some of team woke are doing and believe your statement has a logical fallacy - you can believe in Jesus, and mothers, love this show and also be woke - they are not mutually exclusive.
And although I don’t agree with all of what team woke stands for, I do agree that the patriarchy is a delusional fiction that needs to be exposed. It is building up some individuals, top one percenters to have tooo too much power - this roll out of AI at the cost of healthy drinking water and the steam rolling of the public who tries to stop it by delusional tech bros who have waaayyyyyy too much $ and way too much power and very little sense.
Well, yeah, the pyramid scheme that is the patriarchy has let us down.

I am posting this with spoilers as I believe your political comment and my political response is off topic.
But I made my comment anyway as based on the underlying theme of this story - AI destroying the planet and the weather man trying to stop it by bringing back the weather - I believe your comment is wrong and misplaced analysis of what the story is about,

This is not a romcom where the male lead saves the female lead with 30 different camera angles and slow mo effects…
I believe that a person needs a certain level of empathy to understand Dong Man. Many people don’t take a moment to really look, to put themselves in another persons shoes - they look at the surface and see “inappropriate behavior “ in a vacuum and fail to see all of the circumstances leading up to that reaction. I agree with everything you said - completely 🥰
But there seem to be a few people who swing by this comment section, don’t understand the drama or the ML post a negative comment about our hero and then leave.
Look at the episode ratings - all the episode (except last two episodes have been rated by trolls before they’ve even been releases) -I think those high ratings shows the feelings of anyone who paused and really looked at this drama.
It’s a complete gem 😊😉.

For all so you who are loving this show - I just rewatched Ep 1 + loved it even more than the first time I watched…
When seven of the Eight (less HDM) are gathered around the table, I realized
Choi Dong Hyeon is not part of the group, I’m not sure why I had thought he was part of it - but he is an outsider from the very beginning and is not part of “the eight.” This makes his throwing his need to bring down HDM more impactful - he wasn’t someone who even knew him for a long time weighing in - also shows how horribly big his ego is! ( If it wasn’t already obvious.)

During the after party, they’re talking about how Ma Jae Yeong won the ~three million dollar grant - I didn’t realize at the time that was the very grant that HDM had interviewed for that day. So he already knows that he didn’t win and he also knows that he lost to the guy they were talking about - with her going on and on about how who won was “charming.” It also makes me think “of course he’s incredibly upset!” - it casts his behavior as a lot more understandable light and also how much he was actually holding in.

The time waiting for the train - no idea why I hadn’t noticed before, but I realized this is the first time the ML and FL are really speaking to each other. They had been each others orbit + I believe knew each others name, but don’t believe they really spoke to each other before this.

When Eun A was evaluating HDMs work, hearing this a second time, it was really more of a critique than a criticism - it was much more about Dong Hyeons attitude and obnoxious build up that made it sounds more harsh than it would have if she had been given the opportunity to respond to him directly.

I hate how kdramas these days are less and less episodes, This kdrama needed a 16-20 ep. I absolutely adore how…
I have a hard time understanding the 50 episode dramas - but THIS drama? I’d watch it for 50 episodes. If you can watch the four actors getting drunk around a table while one struggles to set up a Christmas tree and another goes into the next room to read a book - and it sounds like it would be boring but it isn’t, the characters are alive and
Yep - I’d watch 50 episodes of this and never be bored.

ikr i agree with all things you said. For me this show will become the best of 2026. I was looking forward to…
@yin_yin - ikr?! This show hits such a cord with me, deep in my soul I find it confusing why doesn’t everyone just love it 💕🥰 why doesn’t it have a perfect 10??
I almost want to go back and all the shows I’ve previously given a 10 to, to give them a 9.5 as now I feel “oh, so THIS is what a ten is!”
It is hard to know this will end next week - but I’m not going to be sad because:
This will be one of the few show I will watch again right away. I have a lot of friends that rewatch shows, but I never do - at most I’ll go back and watch a scene or two.
This show - I know I can rewatch the whole thing - listening for little gems I’d miss, knowing how it ends + just soaking it up a second time.
There are so many layers and so many scenes filled with meaning, it is something to watch again .

Apart from the actors & writer, Director is shinning too. Episode 8 beginning scene camera work and cinematography…
Yes, this has the big three required to make outstanding cinema: writing, acting + direction. Truly great films have all three, and this one is a gem 🥰

Here are some facts about Park Hae Young."As the chairperson of the copyright committee of the Korea Television…
1) I think it’s awesome that she an A list writer who is standing up for other writer and is part of the writers association.
But 2) you said she refused to work with “Netflix or Disney”, but this is a Netflix production? This show has the big N right at the beginning, or am I misunderstanding entirely your comment?

you are so lucky . my mister is 10/10 if you want something lighter its another miss ohh its like rom com. loughed…
@kdramamore + @akita + @tmoom + @carnotaurusEL - tysm for info on her other works. Only one I’ve seen was Another Miss Oh, which I saw a long time ago and adored!! So, I’ll have to start My Mister and My liberation - I had heard of both before those series ( as they both have great reviews) - but I never gave them a chance as the description sounded “too serious” to me and I thought it’d be too heavy to watch. But I’d honestly have to describe this drama as “serious” - but it isn’t heavy, it doesn’t weigh me down at all but lifts my spirit

Who would think that the line “tell me a funny story” would break me?
It is very rare for me to start crying at a show, my eyes might water a bit, buts that’s it - but I am half way through this episode andI started bawling - not from sadness but from happiness, relief. I had to stop the show and take a break before starting again.

You know something, this writer - I haven’t seen her other series, could they possibly be this good?
I am asking those who’ve seen more of her shows, are they all a this good?
Why I ask - they say if you’re going to write, write about something you know. This story is about writers who pour their souls into a script — this story is sooooo well written, it is so real - it feels like the writer poured her soul into it. And the actors are completely on board with bringing that to life! If her other stories are even half as good, I have to put them on my list!! 😊
It’s just not possible for other ones to be like this, right?

Yeah, maybe it is complicated for MDL to fix, that might be why they turn a blind eye hoping that after enough real users see the episode the fake acts impact on the ratings will fade …
But it seems like they could do something that wouldn’t be hard to code - like, only allow users with accounts more than three months old that have commented can rate dramas.
And interesting point you made about not being able to see who rated them, as you’re right: if we as users good go in and report those who rated those episodes with a 1 star when it hasn’t even been releases, maybe those users ability to rate dramas could be suspended.
It’s frustrating 🥺

Ep 1 to Ep 6 are all above 9. Ep 7 has only climbed to 7.5, but I’ll bet it keeps going up as more people who have seen it rate it.
The ridiculously low rating - Episode 8 until 12 - are ones that haven’t been released yet are the ones rated by trolls, and that why I was saying it’s obvious it was organized - I’ve noticed this happening more and more frequently to new dramas that are released.
I wish MDL didn’t allow people to rate dramas that they haven’t watched , but that might be complicated to code.

Ratings per episode went down to 6??? who is doing that?? There are definitely organized groups of trolls on MDL…
There are groups that tank a new drama out of the gate- the super low rating on episodes that hadn’t been release yet is proof of that.

It’s easier for them to hurt a drama with a one star then to pull up the drama they love with with a 10 star - so that’s what they do.
The people actually watching the drama seem to all love it, hence the very high ratings on the episodes that have already been released. It takes 9 - 10 star rating to bring up just 1 - 1 star rating.
