like why do you cast a 30 yr old beauty and then have her portray a character that wants to be a mother for an…
As you already know, beauty is skin deep. The character Eun A makes perfect sense - although she is a natural beauty, she has been abandoned by her mother at a young age and pushed down by society.
Naturally pretty young girls who don’t have nice clothes and support are often attacked by the mean girls at school - we see this in the drama, perhaps not specifically mean girls, but the heavy judgment from the other children in her class. And we CERTAINLY see the judgement from her coworkers who shun her, make snide comments and ostracize her.

Social pressures are NOT just about beauty, but about acceptance in general - and the way this character dresses and her introverted nature and sad demeanor make her an easy target for shallow people.

The characters Dong Man is incredible beautiful breath of fresh air for her. Trust me, I see it - he lifts her up and helps her smile.

This show would only make sense to someone who can look past the incredibly useless and unimportant skin deep way in which incredibly shallow and superficial people judge others.
These two main characters help complete each other - they fulfill each others missing pieces and HEAL each other … nothing matters more than someone who makes you feel happy and safe - and that’s what they do with each other.

I’m not looking for someone who will look good standing next to me - I want someone who can make me smile and can share joy and knows how to both give and receive love. What spiritually and self aware person cares one bit about how clear a complexion is? Just take a shower and go to a dermatologist - what’s on the inside? That’s priceless.
Think this author is very wise.

I would! I'd rather be friend with him than with snakes who act nice with you and stab you in the back.
- you know that might be it, do you think?
It’s the snakes thing -I’m totally repelled by snakes who smile to your face then stab you in the back. I’d rather someone just be honest.
Doesn’t that work out best - if you don’t like me, then leave.
Snakes want something from you, though - like from Dongman they want his ideas. So they fake kindness to his face + make snide remarks that he overhears …. And he’s terrible at pretending it doesn’t bother him so he reacts and they act worse.

He is soooooooo much better than all those people who put an insincere smirk on their face + act like they’re doing you a favor as they stab you in the back as soon as you leave.
I think the people who dislike Dongman don’t mind pretending everything is fine when it’s not. People being insincere doesn’t bother them, they’d rather have the saccharine sweetness than any kind of truth. I really don’t understand that preference, but it’s their choice.

Just as I don’t like your opinion, you don’t have to like mine (which is the romance that was in this was perfectly done)
, but your violating MDLs by swearing and insulting me personally - suggest you take a moment to think before you post and touch grass.

I did, you didn’t like how the last couple of episodes spent any time at all on his movie and it should have focused on their relationship.
It DID focus on their relationship, there just wasn’t any troupe lovey doves scenes. Your criticism is about the romance between them when this IS NOT LISTED as a romance. Of course the genre matters, lmao. Would you complain about the lack of science fiction on a historical drama? No
Your criticism is OFF place. The last two episodes are amazing.
They do have an adult relationship, with affection, trust and support. It is what an adult relationship should be.
Because the don’t hold hands like you wanted you knock you say the episodes should only get a 7?
Good grief - once again - NOT a romance genre, the holding hands a kiss scene at the end or proposal you would want out of a romance isn’t here - and it does NOT belong.
Their relationship is already perfect, you want a sexy scene? go rent an adult movie.

After 24 hours pondering how this show was a magnificent joy ride for ten episodes, but went into hyper-rush mode…
Please note - the genres attached to this drama does NOT list romance - down rating a series because it isn’t in the genre you want does not really make sense.
Also, they had the most beautiful exchange in the last episode with Dong Man saying that’d he love her even if she was a man or the wind. There are ohhhhhh so very many Kdramas that focus on romance and have all the tropes - the first touching hands, the umbrella, the falling onto each other and slamming teeth (never really understood this one, looks painful!)

I would love to have seen this series go on for 50 episodes, and yeah, see a future seen with the two of them together - but think the episodes that we have are perfect and I think it was exactly what the writer wanted to express. A kiss scene wouldn’t really have added much at all to this, in a way - it would have detracted from the light that shown in both of their faces when they just looked at each other 🥰
YES the two had this amazing relationship, and yes, this relationship had a strong attraction. He said he would always be there for her no matter what, and she is obviously smitten with him.
I strongly disagree- this shows is a 10/10 all the way!

[Sorry for bad English] I was waiting for this to finish, I was so excited to finally start to watch this (i didn't…
The first couple episodes are harder because of the way ML is portrayed.
But remember- “bad behavior” doesn’t happen in a vacuum- I believe it is important to look at why.
Sometimes people treat a person badly, and pick on a persons weaknesses - and then, when the person reacts to their nastiness, they act all high and mighty “ how dare you get upset” and act as though they we not the ones who started it.
They are bullying him - once you start to move past this, and empathize was his plight, the drama unfolds beautifully and is a gorgeous show of human being fighting to overcome life’s struggles and their own sense of worthlessness.
Watch how these same people treat Eun A - it becomes a little more obvious how they’ve beeen treating Dung Man all along.

Right now:
1) this will be my favorite drama of the year
And
2) this is the perfect time for me - i have 11 that I’ve already seen and I already know I’ll want to rewatch each of them.
And - I have one left - one left in which I can watch some more of these beautiful characters + I’m so exctied there are more scenes with Eun A and Dong Man.

The way they look at each other with so much love - it’s amazing how lovely they are to each other and how their warmth to each other warms my heart - and their love? This is so much more than hot and heavy attraction - it is just pure respect, honesty, compassion, concern - it’s real love - the best display of true love I’ve ever seen. So odd the genre isn’t listed as a romance - but I guess that’s because it isn’t about romantic love at all. Just love for another human’s well being. Gorgeous.

AND CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE REVEAL???"I'm Yeongsil, the writer Ma Jaeyoung is so desperate to hide."GIRL…
I know - i want to be friends with Eun A and Dong Man - The atmosphere - it reminds me of the warmth at the bar where the brothers hung out in My Mister.
I don’t want to leave this world that this writer created either 🥺

Title We Are All Trying Here Spoiler
“I know very well that the woke agenda will never allow this drama to receive a high rating. It talks about…
Maria - I love this show, I love Jesus + I also love what some of team woke are doing and believe your statement has a logical fallacy - you can believe in Jesus, and mothers, love this show and also be woke - they are not mutually exclusive.
And although I don’t agree with all of what team woke stands for, I do agree that the patriarchy is a delusional fiction that needs to be exposed. It is building up some individuals, top one percenters to have tooo too much power - this roll out of AI at the cost of healthy drinking water and the steam rolling of the public who tries to stop it by delusional tech bros who have waaayyyyyy too much $ and way too much power and very little sense.
Well, yeah, the pyramid scheme that is the patriarchy has let us down.

I am posting this with spoilers as I believe your political comment and my political response is off topic.
But I made my comment anyway as based on the underlying theme of this story - AI destroying the planet and the weather man trying to stop it by bringing back the weather - I believe your comment is wrong and misplaced analysis of what the story is about,

This is not a romcom where the male lead saves the female lead with 30 different camera angles and slow mo effects…
I believe that a person needs a certain level of empathy to understand Dong Man. Many people don’t take a moment to really look, to put themselves in another persons shoes - they look at the surface and see “inappropriate behavior “ in a vacuum and fail to see all of the circumstances leading up to that reaction. I agree with everything you said - completely 🥰
But there seem to be a few people who swing by this comment section, don’t understand the drama or the ML post a negative comment about our hero and then leave.
Look at the episode ratings - all the episode (except last two episodes have been rated by trolls before they’ve even been releases) -I think those high ratings shows the feelings of anyone who paused and really looked at this drama.
It’s a complete gem 😊😉.

Title We Are All Trying Here Spoiler
For all so you who are loving this show - I just rewatched Ep 1 + loved it even more than the first time I watched…
When seven of the Eight (less HDM) are gathered around the table, I realized
Choi Dong Hyeon is not part of the group, I’m not sure why I had thought he was part of it - but he is an outsider from the very beginning and is not part of “the eight.” This makes his throwing his need to bring down HDM more impactful - he wasn’t someone who even knew him for a long time weighing in - also shows how horribly big his ego is! ( If it wasn’t already obvious.)

During the after party, they’re talking about how Ma Jae Yeong won the ~three million dollar grant - I didn’t realize at the time that was the very grant that HDM had interviewed for that day. So he already knows that he didn’t win and he also knows that he lost to the guy they were talking about - with her going on and on about how who won was “charming.” It also makes me think “of course he’s incredibly upset!” - it casts his behavior as a lot more understandable light and also how much he was actually holding in.

The time waiting for the train - no idea why I hadn’t noticed before, but I realized this is the first time the ML and FL are really speaking to each other. They had been each others orbit + I believe knew each others name, but don’t believe they really spoke to each other before this.

When Eun A was evaluating HDMs work, hearing this a second time, it was really more of a critique than a criticism - it was much more about Dong Hyeons attitude and obnoxious build up that made it sounds more harsh than it would have if she had been given the opportunity to respond to him directly.

I hate how kdramas these days are less and less episodes, This kdrama needed a 16-20 ep. I absolutely adore how…
I have a hard time understanding the 50 episode dramas - but THIS drama? I’d watch it for 50 episodes. If you can watch the four actors getting drunk around a table while one struggles to set up a Christmas tree and another goes into the next room to read a book - and it sounds like it would be boring but it isn’t, the characters are alive and
Yep - I’d watch 50 episodes of this and never be bored.

@yin_yin - ikr?! This show hits such a cord with me, deep in my soul I find it confusing why doesn’t everyone just love it 💕🥰 why doesn’t it have a perfect 10??
I almost want to go back and all the shows I’ve previously given a 10 to, to give them a 9.5 as now I feel “oh, so THIS is what a ten is!”
It is hard to know this will end next week - but I’m not going to be sad because:
This will be one of the few show I will watch again right away. I have a lot of friends that rewatch shows, but I never do - at most I’ll go back and watch a scene or two.
This show - I know I can rewatch the whole thing - listening for little gems I’d miss, knowing how it ends + just soaking it up a second time.
There are so many layers and so many scenes filled with meaning, it is something to watch again .
