I think it’s what you said exactly - especially if you look at her character and her talent —> she is incredibly perceptive, that is the reason she is soooo good at analyzing and reading scripts and all the writers want her feedback.
So she “sees” him, what’s beneath the surface of him, she sees it when no one else does. He is raw and real, and also is loud and anxious and he is genuine and sincere - the others , the hide and are not honest.
She knows she likes him right away as she can see him, while all the others around her are hiding who they are. And the others around her also don’t really like her and are insincere. He likes her, and she feels it.

If everyone around you, if you could tell they didn’t really like you even if they never said it - wouldn’t you immediately adore the person who truly liked you, the real you and enjoyed your company?
Makes perfect sense to me their relationship.

Yes, this scene with him explaining why he talks and talks is because he becomes so anxious when he feels how they don’t like him - it feels so real. The actor is amazing and deserves an award.

ah, right I see what you mean, I thought he was talking about MDL rating, the score isn’t bad, I just think it would be a bit higher if people didn’t purposely lower dramas ratings. I find it frustrating that they do that.

That’s because they’re actually groups of people that bomb dramas (to make other dramas look good) —> and yes I know this sounds crazy, but just look at the episode reviews that haven’t been release yet. 4.4 ratings!!! It’s so obvious it’s on purpose because those episodes haven’t even been released, so no it’s just people with ulterior motive!! the rating on the first three episodes is really high (because enough people who’ve actually watched it have given it a good rating.)
It’s frustrating as a 1 star review can totally kill a good score.
But, yeah, it’s harder for them to bring the drama they want to get good reviews, so purposely tank other dramas.

Couldn’t agree more!! - notice she gave him option to take out the parts she wrote and then he could leave her name off of it. He’s angry because he KNOWS it’s not as good without her words - I don’t like him at all and was hoping Dong Man heard that nonsense and would go crazy at him. That guy deserves whatever bad karma is headed his way.

Right, when he speaks and she looks at him with a small smile, it is like sunshine coming through on a rainy day - just beautiful

Update after Ep 3 - I didn’t think it was possible, but I like it even more.
I actually considered stopping the series after watching the end of epsiode 2 not because I didn’t like it, but because I was so moved by the second half of ep 2 that I didn’t want to see any more, as I felt it was already perfectly done.

Why isn’t there a way to give a show more than ten stars?

Yeah, he’s annoying- but he’s in serious pain and struggling to survive …. If you haven’t been really beaten down by life for a long period of time, you might not understand. If you think of him as toxic, maybe try watching until the end of epsiode 2 - I fell in love with this series in the second half of episodes 2, I was on the fence before that. If you still dont see the beauty at that point, then this probably just not the show for you 🤷🏻‍♀️ - just not your cup of tea 🥰

I just love this drama - at first I wasn’t sure, but the last half of epsidoe 2, I was all in.

Yes, I thought she was just awful, seeing her tell her husband gave her much more depth. Honestly, it is her place and Dong Man was being disrespectful…… but, do you think she’ll give him his chance to debut? She went from a neutral character to me, to an antagonistic, back to somewhat neutral — be nice to see her help him out as then she’d swing all the way into the solid good zone!

Yeah, I know - it must be a group thing. Last night there was an 8.7 rating for this drama. Episode 2 was pretty strong, just as strong as ep 1, so why would it suddenly dropped from 8.7 to 8.1?
Why? Must have been a group of haters - it doesn’t take many 1 stars troll ratings to bring a 8.7 down to a 8.1. MDL should filter through newly formed accounts that give 1 star ratings.

Yep - and the watching of it is for pleasure, and this simply ain’t enjoyable for me. I came on this board curious as what other people liked about it. I’m all for a revenge plot or some dark tail if it is clever and well crafted - but I cannot see how the story is compelling at all when the FL is devoid of any redeeming qualities at all. Complex character would be interesting, but she’s just vile. Why do you like it? Are you interested in seeing her succeed in her exploits? Are you waiting for her to fail? I don’t get it.

Idk, it might be. I love the actors in this series, love the sleek cinematography and tension … and I HATE the FL. She is a vindictive narcissistic ĉ word and all I want is to slap both her and her minions that help her be an evil witch. I haven’t given it a bad rating, as I appreciate the talent and everyone has their thing they enjoy watching - but I just don’t understand the appeal? Why cheer for such a twisted creature?

Two reasons - 1) he knew that someone was actually after him + 2) to make it look like someone was after all the executives of the company so the police didn’t start investigating him

@autmn - he’s both an incredibly handsome and talented actor - who also seems to pick scripts that end up being blockbusters.
I have a brother in law who is super negative like some of these commenters — he- really really enjoys ripping apart and belittling movies/ shows etc. Makes him feel smart or superior; he actually believes somehow above that pedestrian taste.
He’s miserable to go to a movie with as he can suck all the fun out of watching anything.
Ironic, isn’t it? He’s miserable…. And yet he things he so much smarter than the people enjoying themselves - I ask you, who is the real fool?

To go out of your way to post that you believe the ML “has very little” talent on a show that hasn’t even been released yet —> that is the definition of being a hater.
If you don’t like his acting, why on earth are you even here reading and posting comments?
On the other hand, If your’re writing a review and happened to mention that the acting in that particular show or movie you thought was subpar - that is more of only stating your opinion - doesn’t seem intentionally derogatory or meant to inflame. But that isn’t what the negative posters here are doing.
