Ngl some of his scenes were quite repetitive. And I don’t get the obsession. He’s terrible to everyone except her and she’s not even reciprocating. Just let it go bro. I don’t like men simping, and here both the ML and the villain’s personalities revolve around simping.

Writing, editing, flow all went downhill. ML was reduced to a minor character, FL lacked authentic development, likeable characters became annoying. Yes far too much screen time was wasted on unnecessary things eg emperor. Qi Min is ok for me, he is the main villain after all.

This drama is the perfect example of the horse drawing meme. Thank goodness this will all end tomorrow. It was so good in the beginning 😭

Oh that was so hard to watch. I was like what happened to our Changyu 😩 I was so shocked by her attitude.

Yup this is what happens when you try to make a character so unrealistically perfect that they become unbearable, and you achieve the exact opposite effect. Sad they ruined an already good character.

lol im confused. this drama is trying so hard to promote this as a strong FL drama but then makes her journey too easy. we never see her do any martial arts practice, and with no military experience, she kills a bunch of main villains, easily, one by one, without any logic. she then gets promoted to a higher rank, not because she earned it, but because of politics. yup, using a woman as a political pawn! lol that’s not a strong woman. that’s a caricature of a strong woman and simply insulting to women in general.

Lol no one thinks that this show is only about Xie Zheng ok. It was promoted as a drama where BOTH leads would have equal footing! That’s why we’re upset. Do you think we would be this angry if they had been honest about it?

saw someone say ML is a minor character in his own show. lol so true. can he stop doing these types of dramas where his role is reduced to a pathetic lover boy? argh...

Somehow I feel Uncle Wei Yan is not a bad person and that he had to do what he had to all those years ago, and that he genuinely loves Xie Zheng. At the end of the day, it’s all about politics, power and protecting your own family. I might be wrong though. No spoilers pls.

They tried to inject humour into this episode, but it fell flat for me. I used to find Fan Changyu’s attitude amusing, but now she comes across as arrogant and unlikeable. Such a bummer.

you can stick this review on every cdrama and it still works, for them. lol these people have nothing better to do, just trash anything and everything, every day. i really feel bad for cdrama actors, they need to grow a thicker skin to deal with this constant bullying. cnetizens are the worst "critics" i’ve ever come across, of course, not all of them.

Why are all the likeable characters becoming so annoying now! The only likeable character left for me is Gongsun Yin. I'm starting to get scared when a cdrama starts out too good, because almost all the dramas I’ve watched that were like that ended up being disappointing toward the ending.

They have everything, the talent, the visual, the story, the budget, the manpower....but they get caught up in this petty mess. Add unnecessary censorship on top of that. There’s no way they can produce quality dramas/movies that can truly compete on an international level.

Yes, I feel like he’s not being treated well by his company. Maybe he has no say in what he really wants to do, and the company is controlling which scripts he takes and everything else. He’s been working nonstop.

The biggest downfall of this drama is underutilizing ZLH. He is the reason I and many of his fans watch this. They made us believe that both leads would share equal screen time and importance. If they had promoted this drama honestly from the beginning, making it clear that it would focus only on the FL's journey, no one would be this disappointed.

Qi Min became who he is today because he felt betrayed and unloved, but he ended up killing the only person who truly ever loved him.

he shines in those scenes, would love to see him doing that more, but....
