i just love the storytelling in japanese bl. and they do it so simplistically. you can instantly connect with the characters and feel the intimacy.
i have a feeling this is going to be one of my favorites. sub could be better though. i have a question. so just before the kiss, when minase asks hirukawa "do you like me?" he replies with "skipping some steps huh?". this sub doesn't make any sense to me. does anyone know what was actually said?
the first half of the show was 10/10. but what the hell happened in the second half! suddenly everything felt too gloomy and depressing even for me who usually loves angsty love stories. editing and english sub were all over the place. i thought i finally found a good bl after torturing myself with mediocre bls these recent years. such a disappointment.
i don't know what year the show was set in at the beginning. does anyone know? i feel like the present day is still not 2024 somehow. im loving the show and i don't mind the time jump but 12 years is a long time and they practically look the same. at least try to change their hairstyle or something. this bothers me because this happens in almost all the BLs with time jumps i've seen.
finally my type of bl after a long droughtðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜. i feel alive again 😂. the first 2 episodes were brilliant. loved the cast, their acting, their chemistry, the angst 😠thank you!
till ep 4, it was ok. but after ep 5, it was emotional rollercoaster good. it's not perfect but compared to the BLs we are getting nowadays, i would say it is perfect. truly a breath of fresh air.
having watched most of the japanese bl, i thought i was well prepared for anything, but then this one comes along and renders me speechless. only japanese bl can do that to me lol.
sigh...what a waste of good talent. anyway im looking forward to nakazawa motoki's future projects. his emotional scenes tug at my heartstrings. hope he gets better opportunities.
i don't see any discrimination against people with disabilities here. disliking a character with a disability does not mean you dislike them because of their disability. you are allowed to criticize them like any other characters on the show. WE JUST WANT THE STORY TO FOCUS ON THE MAIN LEADS instead of a side character. is this too much to ask for?
I've always see this show as young adults figuring out life who also happen to fall in love. You'd really have…
well it started out as a bl with a character who happens to have disability. but now somehow it's turned into a show about disability? if they really wanted to focus on disability, they should do that from the beginning, not trick us into thinking this was a potential love story between two boys. my problem is the sudden shift in storytelling. you don't have to let go of romance just to focus on disability. both can be shown simultaneously.
at this point, it's not even slow burn, it's more like no burn. i think the writer had amnesia and forgot this was supposed to be a bl. or is it even a bl to begin with i wonder now.
ok so we wait patiently episode after episode and finally we see some progress, and the next thing you know, this random girl shows up out of nowhere and starts taking up majority of screen time, acts like she is the main character, tries her best to keep the boys apart, has annoying personality, is rude to others. and you expect us to cheer for her. why are you forcing her on us? it's not like i hate her, i just don't care enough about her to hate her. i just wanted the show to get back to the main story that was left unfinished. she can have her own thing and showcase the different aspect of disability all she wants, but not at the expense of the boys.
this maya girl ruined this otherwise beautiful show for me. why do we need her pov when we already don't have enough time? im gonna finish this for nakazawa motoki, i really like his acting, and he looks so much like zhang linghe. i think next episode is time jump.

ep 1 was really good. can't wait to see how their relationship progresses.
