The police already had evidence against him, his convos from his phone with people he was supposed to meet, and…
If that were my brother, I'd do the exact same thing, regardless of why he was doing it. Her saying anything when he already reportedly pleaded guilty and there's a shit ton of evidence against him does literally nothing to help or worsen the situation. End of.
I am actually a huge Thai horror fan. what makes it different is most of them has a plot twist! some also are…
I have to say, I wasn't too keen on Ghost Mother. It felt very generic and the twist when it came was so guessable long before it came >< Might be I'm so used to horror I spot the minuscule little hints but xD
Laddaland was absolutely amazing, I really want to rewatch now people keep mentioning it. It was my first so I rated it low-high average (7, I think?) bc I was so new to the new horror culture but if I watched it now I'm pretty sure it'd be an 8/9.
I have been peeking at the swimmers recently, ooo. [eyes emoji] might be time for me to finally give it a go! Phobia does go into gore a lot (the P2 story with the mother also broke me that was too far come on why that - if you've seen it) but I do like how it's not.... it's not conventional gore. It's not wham bam serial killer on the loose it's here's a pretty decent story and wham and it's a completely logical continuation of the story, if that makes sense?
I will take a look at these!!! I love a good oldie - there's nothing like watching a horror film from like 2007 and remembering when you'd go with your friends to see the latest grudge or whatever and just that blast of nostalgia from the tropes :')
Thank you for these recs! I'm definitely going to binge these some time and hopefully finally kick myself up from casual viewer to hardcore Thai fan (still v much a hard core fan but I more binge 5 in one sitting then abandon it for a month or two ><)
It's 6 eps and then that's the end of s1! It ended with a cliff hanger like a longer series of 12 eps would do…
I'm pretty certain its 2 different seasons bc the ending of "we're no longer doing that we're doing THIS now" is so different from the crux of the first series - it's not like Kingdom that had the cliffhanger and they're gonna be starting s2 from the same scene, GB has changed in the ending scenes that have been teasing the next series so I'm p sure it's going to be a complete different season. From the looks of it, seasonal changes (sun to rain, etc) might have affected the filming of s2 so it might have meant to be one series but they couldn't film for months and cause mass delays, but it does seem more like two distinct series ^^
Personal top 5 would be:1) Oldboy2) The Handmaiden3) Parasite4) Shoplifters5) A Taxi Driver
I remember you throwing all these at me like "Kai mf watch these" dkjhdkfd Good picks from what I've heard of them, very good picks (also - you can only have a top 1 from the future top 10 ;) )
Pee Mak is super hilarious! I really enjoyed watching it. Many people said they watched it more than once. I also…
I might watch it twice! I didn't understand one or two of the jokes so I have a feeling it's one of those that you either look back like OH CRAP THATS FUNNY when something is explained later or you need a full rewatch to click it. Nang Nak was super good, both films are so good I love the "Nak/Mak" series, I can't wait to see Pee Mak 2 that came out this year. May I inquire about the original story, if you're comfortable to share, please? I found it online but there were like 6 different versions ><
Shutter is very good with that, the build up of tense moments really got to me a few times. One of those I had to pause and go do something to calm myself and come back to view it (and still had to sleep with a light on that night xD)
Ahh "Shutter" is actually my favorite horror movie lol good to see it being appreciated~
It's in my tops! It saddens me to see it has only 900 votes (comparing to other countries horror that has like 3k rating votes), I need the new horror fans to take this classic with them into the new age
Hshs I think it may have a place in mine now! The original (Nang Nak 1999) is just as good as well but focuses much more on the original legend. Was beautiful, and different enough from Pee Mak for both films to be their own movie. Recommend giving that one a go if you want a darker look at the tale ^^
I love Shutter. I love both the original and the american remake. It was one of the movies that was my introduction…
I do still love the American but man did it lose some points after watching the original for me >< Still got an average rating of 6 but man. I just wish it was a bit more tense rather than they'd made it so jump scary
I love horror especially Thai Horror Movies.... I love Phobia, Phobia 2, Ladda Land, Pee Mak, 3AM sereies. I remember…
Ugh I loved Ladda Land, it was a nice average of 7 for me but still felt so much... stronger and more fleshed out than a lot of horror films now a days (I think if I rated it now, it would be like an 8/9 but it was one of my first Thai horrors so it was my first dip into the new horror culture as well ><) I really want to watch the first Phobia after seeing 2 (UK Netflix has a horrible habit of putting Phobia 2 on the site but then never uploading the first one, rip 2 me). what are the 3AM and Buppah Rahtree series? I'm curious, would love to know what you'd think about them!

Agreed. Thai Horror are underrated. I'd HIGHLY recommend the Art of Devil series as well. It's one of the best…
It really is and it makes me sad but after watching so much, I've found that Thai horror is either a 7-10/10 or a 1-4/10 (in my rating schedule) so I can see why some people tend to shy away.
I am DEFINITELY checking this one out that sounds absolutely amazing, thank you!
Whilst I would tend to agree with you, Shutter only has 900-1000 ratings on MDL compared to some Japanese and Korean horrors that have much more and also since I know a lot of non horror fans do use my articles like these as a basis to ease into horror, I chucked Shutter on there as it is one of the most popular Thais on the site so it's a nice place for them to start there ^^

It's been Thai, Malaysian, Indonesian and Chinese-
Good picks from what I've heard of them, very good picks (also - you can only have a top 1 from the future top 10 ;) )
