After all, daily dramas used to run for 200–250 episodes, and we've already seen a significant reduction to around 120. Audiences have busy lives, and keeping viewers invested in a storyline stretched across 250 episodes is no easy task. I suspect the same pressure will eventually push daily dramas toward even shorter runs.
And frankly, if fewer episodes mean tighter writing, less repetitive filler, and better pacing, I wouldn't complain one bit!
