, some shipping fans are too crazy too. That's why to avoid any sort of rumors, I guess he steers clear mostly infront of social media.

Personally I feel majority of actors get together well enough, especially during shooting times. What happens behind social media, none of us would know. Also thanks to crazy shipping fans, I believe zlh doesn't interact much infront if social media with actresses. It's mostly same pattern with other actresses too. Interactions mostly during shooting or promotional events, otherwise limited.

Social media has always been superficial and all about looks. Beauty sells, only idiots will make as if it's not true. Besides it's a show, are we going to blame a person for being born beautiful now?!
Of course talent matters, but seriously cannot understand the hatred behind solely zlh when 100% of popular actors and actresses all do heavy makeup in all their shows. 🤷‍♀️

Agree. Show had many loopholes. More than the makeup controversy, the growth of fan changyu was really not believable. Add to it, personally these sexual scenes pertaining for SA were much much more disturbing.
However talk about priorities in life. Makeup is given more importance. Funny is that all idol dramas, be it modern or historical or fantasy, all have overdose of makeup 😂.
I can count on fingers how many realistic shows with normal clothed or normal makeup characters ever become successful on social media.
Social media has always been artificial and drawn to physical beauty. How come now it's an issue, just because you want to drag ZLH down?! Zero logic.

One final point. ZLH is handsome, gorgeous, one of the most good looking person. If you have an issue, that's your issue not ours. He can hardly become ugly just to cater to the stupidity of haters!

Not sure if haters know what they are doing here. Personally each time I see a bad comment, I tend to check the person's own favorites. It's already clear from which Fandoms these fans hating him are! I want haters to know that antis can really make a difference to many viewers. Sometimes you don't feel like watching a show, no matter how good the review, just because the actors in it have disgusting fans!!!

Now this is what's called a genuine popular drama. The amount of negativity thrown at it since start. The last being 'too beautiful'
Been watching cdramas for more than 10 years now, and sorry but 99% of popular cdramas rely only on beauty quotient. Every fan always comment on how 'beautiful', gorgeous or handsome their favorites are.
This whole outrage is a big joke, because what was acceptable just two months back is no longer because this show overshadowed many big actors in terms of reach and popularity!
Lol at the over makeup done by 99% of actors in China in their shows, usage of branded clothes for simple characters... What haven't we been watching since aeons. Majority of shows, be it cdramas have always been unrealistic. Viewers know it from start. That's why it's a show not a documentary.

Also no matter the outrage, you can't take away the popularity of this show. Neutral viewers make a show, not social media or haters.

True. Besides it's not about screenspace, it's about lack of connection to a main character just because important scenes of his has been deleted. But unfortunately this basic point many are missing. People are taking for granted their chemistry from Tpr, adding to it bits and pieces of the novel and justifying a love story without any good foundation. Anyway, a novel and it's adaptation should be able to stand alone. If we have to refer to the novel each time to understand what is happening, then this adaptation is a failure completely. Novel readers should note that majority of viewers never has nor will ever read the novel. Hence, expecting them to understand qiaixi actions rely only on what is being shown in show, which sadly is nil.
I've read so many posts here, on Twitter, on douban and on weibo where viewers are blank about Qiaoxi totally because sadly majority of his important scenes are deleted. Hence zero connection to him and this absurb love story.

And it should have been promoted that way also.

He's definitely sad. He was so interested in this show. I remember the way he explained his character in his interviews. He was so passionate about Qiaoxi.
And frankly, just show me one person who wouldn't be sad if his hardwork of 4months is trampled like this. I read somewhere that zlh normally interacts with fans and viewers whenever his show airs. But this time he was silent and didn't do much, expect post 1-2 posts of Qiaoxi.
However, thankfully he is a strong person and will overcome this disappointment.

Someone said he'd prefer quality, agree. but the quality of this show is hardly worthy of any good praise from no matter what angle 😂.

Also, why would he shoot for 4 months if his equivalent screenspace demanded only 1 month of shoot. Sometimes people should use common sense too😊

Lady you have to decide which side you really are. When people were complaining about no screenspace for ML, you justified it by saying it was the novel adaptation. Now when viewers are complaining for useless additional scenes, you are again justifying it by saying they do change things on and off.

By your own logic, then they should (actually did shot additional scenes of Qiaoxi - just they deleted majority) have given Qiaoxi more development since start then.

Actually if the PH wasn't so self - obsessed in deleting majority of Qiaoxi scenes, you'd not be feeling this lost about this without head or tails lovestory. But if we go by only what is being given in the show, then yes you are completely right.
