This show is my current comfort go-to show. Literally all my worries melt away watching this. No drama, no complicated tropes, just heart-warming and adorable <3
A satisfying ending, rare for a Cdrama lol. I was so nervous throughout that any of the primary characters (like the main couple, the companion beasts, or the rest of the crew) would die in the end, but thankfully, they all made it. I was also pleasantly surprised at Fu Yue's ending. Usually, the female character who's in a one-sided love with the second male lead has a tragic ending, but she chose herself in the end--- loved that for her. I've watched a few of Yu Xiao's dramas and her character here was my favorite thus far, especially the styling. I think it suited her! Great chemistry and overall amazing drama!
Can you spoil about the story? And each boys? Another second couple? Love story? Annoying part? Happy ending ??
I wish I knew! I've never read the novel, though unfortunately! Although it's pretty obvious that Watari has a crush on Hioki and probably knew of Hioki for a while? I think his friends are aware of the crush and that's why they added him to their group, so that Watari could interact with him. Just my hypothesis but that seems to be the direction this is going in! I can't find anything about the novel online except that it's pretty popular. Doesn't appear to have been translated to English yet though :(
Obsessed! Never read this novel and had no clue about this show until it came out today. First ep was adorable already, can't wait for the next episodes!
Why did they let us get invested in Gao Tu and Wen Lang's story when they were barely shown in it?! The F!!
Right?? Their storyline and dynamic were so interesting that it could've been it's own show honestly. But their scenes were so scarce and their story wasn't developed well. Their ending was rushed and literally made no sense, such a waste of a secondary couple that could've been just as good as the main couple.
Have all the audio/video content that points to the contrary been addressed or debunked? The video of him running onto the street, a man grabbing and hitting him on the head, and then dragging him back to the building? All the audio clips of him screaming that seem to have been taken in the building where his "fall" occurred? The door peephole video of a few individuals seemingly carrying a man (presumed to be Yu Menglong) down the hallway? Were the posts from the mom asking for justice fabricated and spread by someone? Why won't the individuals from that party speak up and talk? Cause they're afraid of something?
Where are the autopsy results? Why wouldn't that be released unless the report showed injuries that pointed to another possible cause of death? Also, the window seems pretty hard to fall from. I don't know the dimensions of the window, but from pictures, it looks pretty hard for a person to "accidentally" fall from it. There are too many freaking gaps in this story, and it truly feels like something way more sinister occurred. I only hope he's at peace now.
slow burn romance exist btw thai drama are not always about nc scenes ! 💅🏻
Of course, I've watched many slow burn thai dramas. Not my first rodeo Lol. But I never mentioned nc scenes (except for praising the second couple's chemistry in theirs). I mentioned romantic development as there's still a lot of push and pull between the main couples and there's only a few episodes left in the show. The drama is still great overall, I just hope we get some more romance in the remaining episodes :)
Omg...the second couple's chemistry is just 😍 That scene was so intimate! I wish we got more romantic development with the lead couple as well. There are only 5 episodes left, and we've mainly just seen Khem pining over Peem and Peem just pushing back🥲
I just can't with these two. One of my favorite BL couples. They just have SO much chemistry. Last Twilight is still my top from them, but this one is now my second favorite, and it hasn't even finished airing yet. The latest episode? I was squealing the whole time LOL. The last scene especially was just so beautiful and I felt like I was intruding on their moment. They're both great actors but always have to give Sea extra credit; his crying scenes always get me.
I'm grateful to have lived long enough to see how far BL content has come. I remember having a hard time finding…
I feel like Thai BL dramas paved the way for other asian countries to venture into the Boys-Love phenomenon (in terms of dramas since of course, Japan is mostly to thank for BL in general due to BL manga). My first BL drama ever was Sotus! So yes, the school setting dramas are overdone. However, we've gotten so many amazing Thai BLs that even other countries, such as Japan, have tried making adaptations of and have failed to capture the essence that only Thai BL dramas are capable of. I've watched so many BL dramas and my favorites continue to be from Thailand. Sotus, A Tale of Thousand Stars, Not Me, Last Twilight..I could go on lol. I'm watching Khemjira right now and although I'm not a big horror fan, this is just another unique Thai BL that's already on its way to being on my favorites list. Ashes of Love wasn't my first c-drama but was the first time I saw Luo Yun Xi! He's such a perfect Wan Wing, I NEED Immortality to be released lol.
I'm grateful to have lived long enough to see how far BL content has come. I remember having a hard time finding…
Yes! Love all the different genres we're getting. Although Thailand has released more BLs than other countries (before the current BL wave), it was always the usual university school romance theme. Now, we're getting some interesting plots in the mix! I read the novel for Winner is King and loved it so I hope we get to see the live-action at some point! Same with Immortality, one of the best danmei out there and I'd kill to see Luo Yun Xi as Wan Ning! lol
This and desire airing at the same damn time , we are born in the right time .
I'm grateful to have lived long enough to see how far BL content has come. I remember having a hard time finding BL dramas/movies that didn't have sad endings. There wasn't much to watch, and now we have a bunch of Japanese, Thai, Korean, and Chinese dramas coming out, it's crazy how far it's come. I only hope I live long enough to see the dramas that have been banned, like the live-action Heaven Official's Blessing!
hot take (I HAVE NOT WATCHED PAST EP 8 YET): I don't like how Yi-do responded to that situation. i feel like even…
I agree that developing feelings for someone else isn't out of the norm, especially in a setting like this. However, what left a bad taste in my mouth (and what upset Yi-do the most) was that he promised her his feelings would not change. He said this after he had that one-on-one date with Ji-yeon which is where he learned more about her background and his interest was piqued. Then, when Ji-yeon went further intro her sad past, he decided she was the one. All this while also keeping Min-hong in suspense after telling her he considers her an option (even after determining he felt strongly about Ji-yeon).
Yi-do's reaction was understandable as he was super devoted and caring to her for days, and suddenly less than 24 hours later, his feelings changed. Talk about whiplash! I agree that he looked visibly upset about how it all turned out though. Hopefully this was a learning lesson for him about not making promises he can't keep and being more straightforward about his feelings and intentions. Unfortunately, Yi-do will have to deal with some residual trust issues after this.
I felt that this series was made only to please KristSingto's fans. They were a lot of references to Sotus and…
Agreed! I was excited for it but the story wasn't anything riveting. Also, they hold a special place in my heart cause SOTUS was my first Thai BL (and I've rewatched it like 20 times) but I couldn't feel their chemistry here. Maybe cause it's been so long, both for us fans and for them, that they just don't have that same spark in my opinion.
They're both so handsome, but Inn is just stunning in this series. He has such beautiful features, and his hair and wardrobe just suit him so perfectly. This is my fave Thai series at the moment and I'm just hoping it doesn't have a sad ending cause they're so cute😭
1. why couldn't she change XJ family being destroyed ?? was that because XJ made the artifact that is why it was…
Agreed, lots of loopholes in the ending. Especially when it comes to their child. Granted, the time goddess said that changing the past may not necessarily change the outcome but still, you'd think her telling her past self about the pregnancy and Bai Jiu Su knowing about it, would've prevented those 10 years of mortal life she lived that caused her child's death. So where was he in the end? That made no sense!
the one thing no one is talking ab is that one assault scene… was kinda shocked to see it. made me uncomfortable…
Was super turned off by it too. And the fact that the ML let it happen. I'm all for "just kind to me - morally gray MLs" but that was evil and now idk if I can continue to watch this😩
Same! I skipped through the last like 15 eps of TTEOM, just couldn't get into it. But I've been hooked on this…
When I say skip, I mean sort of skim through the eps...even if I didn't watch it in its entirety, I still knew what was going on which says enough lol.
