Will try to keep this as spoiler-free as possible. This drama had me sobbing in the last episode, which is rare! I'll start with my favorite thing about this drama: the chemistry between Zu Er & Yu Ning! At times, there's a drama where you can't imagine any other actors portraying certain characters, and I think no one could've done a better job than the two with these roles. Their chemistry was off the charts, and I sincerely hope they work together again in the future. Aside from that, I enjoyed all the characters here, even the antagonists. Everyone had a purpose, and the actors did an amazing job in every scene. That last scene with Lady Yu Lou was hauntingly beautiful, and I like the direction they took with never revealing her face toward the end; it was a good touch. We've had some amazing Cdramas this year, but I think this one has been my favorite thus far. I know I've truly enjoyed a drama when I seldom felt the need to skip through scenes because of my short attention span lol. Sad it's over❤️

I'm sure the show can be watched in China via youtube. However, since it's only on youtube and not being broadcasted in television, it wouldn't be subject to the strict censorship review that other BL dramas have had to undergo. Absolutely agree. I had high hopes for this one but it was executed poorly. It almost seems like they were hoping the actors, costumes, and CGI would overshadow the lackluster story. I skipped through most episodes and still understood that was going on in the end. The story lacked depth and as you said, it was a whole bunch of back and forth that led up to...nothing essentially.
Now we need at least 2-3 extra episodes that focus on just Heesu and Seung Won being a couple, cause too many episodes were wasted on the whole crush misunderstanding. Not to mention all the screen time used for the hetero couple. Had they used that screen time to flesh out Heesu's and Seung Won's progress and relationship, we could've gotten at least that last episode of just them being a couple. So, a little disappointing overall. It was cute, and the acting was great, but it could've been so much better.
Probably one of the best-executed Thai BLs to date! I was nervous when I heard there would be so many episodes and multiple couples. Usually, the first/main couple has a great storyline and then the show loses momentum. However, this was not the case here at all! I was invested in all the couples' stories and their journeys. The characters were loveable, the chemistry was great, and it was overall a heartwarming show. Sad that it's over, I'll miss them😭
I can't say enough about how much I liked this drama. I loved the mother-daughter relationship, the ruthless ultimate villain, the women coming together at the end to support each other, the dialogue, the directing, and the cinematography—it was just overall very beautiful. It wasn't perfect, of course. The lack of communication between the FL and ML got annoying halfway through, but it served its purpose of creating more angst. All the actors did a phenomenal job especially the actors who played Zhuang Shi Yang & Xi Wen. They stole every scene for me!
The ending was beautiful. Even in that very last scene where the deceased and the living are celebrating together, we see Fu Yun Xi standing on the left with the deceased (the only group holding sparklers) which might suggest that he didn't live that much longer, or perhaps to visualize how he's at death's door. However, I'm glad he didn't die unjustly and got to spend some peace with his family. Zhuang Shi Yang's demise was perfectly executed! The villain used his family and led to their deaths so it only makes sense for his life to end in their hands. It was one of the best endings for a villain I've seen yet! I only wish we had seen more romance between the FL and ML but it was an amazing drama overall.
I'd be traumatized too damn. Horrible of his mom to not think what that would do to him long-term. I wasn't expecting anything more from this show other than simple and cute and that's what I got. Keep expectations realistic and you can enjoy the show for what it is. I like the actors, their acting is natural (compared to some other bl actors), and they have chemistry.
I didn't watch the 1st season of this so I don't know if that one was similar but I find it odd how many Kpop songs they're doing. Considering there's only 1 Korean contestant and most of the rest are Chinese and Thai. I feel like it would make more sense to do more Chinese, or even English, songs so that they don't have to struggle to learn the Korean pronunciation👀

I thought so at first but then thought of it from another perspective. The romance is not the focus at all in this drama, if we can even call it romance. I'd say their relationship is more akin to just allies. The focus of this drama is the FL and her plot to avenge her mom. Also, I feel like it's been hinted that this will end with the ML's death. That being said, in order to let the FL stand out, and so that the audience don't get attached to the ML, they kept his personality more of a background, monotone character. This will help the audience acclimate to a non-romantic, semi tragic ending with the loss of the ML. It's an interesting direction, and as someone who gets too attached to characters, I appreciate it LOL. All hypothetical of course, but I know I'm not the only one suspecting this will end with the ML's death.

I'm not the only one that has noticed then! The quality of Taiwan BL dramas has been downgrading which is odd. It's almost like they think BL fans will like it as long as it has a gay couple and to hell with acting/plot/production, etc LOL.
Well, that was A LOT to digest. I'm literally distressed.
Standing ovation for Wen Zheng Rong. She played Xi Wen so beautifully that the rest of the episodes will honestly not be the same without her incredible acting. I adored her and her story so much that I had to skip through the heartbreaking scene of her and her beloved's death. Absolutely heart-wrenching. I was literally burning with hatred for Zhuang Shi Yang, he's an absolutely detestable character. Zhuang's son brought all that on himself, and it's Yu Shan's fault for being a sucky sister that only cared about herself. Her and Ru yin are going to gun for Hanyan more than ever now cause of course, they'll blame her. As amazing as this drama is, I already know it's going to be a sad ending. They've already set the precedent when Hanyan said Yun Xi needs a wife who can take care of his family when he's gone, which means this will most likely end with his death. Preparing myself for more heartbreak.
The way she stepped in her mom's footsteps and told her that it counted as her teaching her how to walk. OMG, absolutely beautiful scene❤️ I'm telling you, this drama is extra special because of the mom/daughter dynamic and their story. So touching😭
It's so rare to find a drama that doesn't have me skipping every few minutes. Every scene is intentional and the characters are complex. Not much romance yet but the plotting and the conspiracies are intriguing enough that I don't mind the main leads' tumultuous dynamic. I live for the scenes of the FL and her mom. The actress who plays Xi Wen is on another level! The other actors are doing an exceptional job as well, but she steals the show whenever she appears on screen. I can't wait to see what more the FL and ML do now to unravel what her father is up to. It's going to get wilder from here!
This is my favorite Yaoi manga and I've been waiting for a live-action since...well it's been a dream for a long time! LOL, I like who they chose for the actors, they fit the original characters well, and the drama so far is following the manga pretty closely. Now the waiting game for new episodes start😩
