Title Like Love
Trying to watch this felt like a scavenger hunt at times but I enjoyed it! I like the low budget stuff times,…
Ditto. It was so hard to find English subtitled episodes WITH audio. However, I still made the effort and watched the whole series and I don't regret it.

1. You do not have to take the A- literally?2. Yes, I would rewatch it totally but the rewatch value is a 7, if…
Your statements really conflict with your own critical review of the series. You also wanted things to make sense with KP, but people reading your review should not take certain things literally? This is a rated review but the reader should know A- to you is 7.5? Your reply is really defensive, try to learn how to take criticisms when you yourself devote a lot of time to thinking of and writing criticisms of dramas you watch. Are you supposed to be free from criticism? Also, it was more than one paragraph that was cut off and there were so many grammtical errors and typos that it was really hard to understand certain parts, it must not have gone through proofreading. I'm not a stickler for grammar, but when it's hard to understand what you were saying, then it matters And if you think I just shouldn't care about your opinion on rewatch value or think critically about your review, then why are you writing reviews? And who are you writing a review for if you don't want people with critical thinking skills to read your reviews? Your already thoughtful review could be proofread and more consistent in grading. If you think you are exempt from criticisms and self-improvement, why are you reviewing shows and reflecting on how they could have improved? It really irks me that you put so much care into this review but then tell a reader of your review to basically not concern themselves with your review.

First of all, thank you. About vegaspete…I do agree with you about it not being a good relationship as well,…
I think what was better about Vegas Pete compared to KP's relationship was the meaningful conversations that they had and that they had opposite personalities despite similar upbringings. It makes them more interesting to watch and has you rooting for Vegas to turn over a new leaf. Vegas Pete sends the message that you don't have to turn into a shity person just because your childhood was abusive. KP's relationship always seemed shallow to me despite the set up that it's supposed to be an intense deep love. Also, for me I felt their chemistry was off at times, whereas Vegas Pete have great chemistry.

If you think it's A- then give it a 9. 75% is a C grade. Also, you said emphatically that you would rewatch this but then gave it a score of 7 on rewatch value? It's hard to understand the difference between your words and your rating. Also, the ending of several paragraphs got cut off and I didn't know what you wanted to say there.

wth, this is unnecessarily agressive. It is possible for people to watch a drama and have different takeaways. But because it doesn't agree with your opinions, she must be lying, stupid or fabricating information? I was open to both of your reviews but your behavior towards someone who disagrees with you makes me believe you are a terrible judge of character. With that said, how could you have an accurate review on this show? I'm not interested in your reply or having a back and forth with you, so please enjoy replying just as agressively to me and then go on with your life, satisfied in your self-righteousness.

I think the first case is what we are supposed to believe, since the poetry describes our era.

His mother said the memories are digital and were implanted in his mind, presumably with advanced technology. She said he was the only successful case of implanting digital memories. She refers to the advanced civilization having been destroyed by an Ice Age and by humans opening the Forbidden Door and unleashing chaos on the world. I'm not sure how the Ice Age and opening of Pandora's box are related to each other. Footage from the drama suggests remnants of that civilization are still frozen under ice. The reactions to Fan Xian's poetry which mention specific geographical locations from the past suggest that the Earth has been reformed due to the Ice age. Fan Xian's mother also mentioned that she is being pursued by the people from the God's Temple or other cryo-frozen humans like her. I'm not sure where that storyline is going.

I'm not clear on the exact reason they are banned but I think some of it is due to not showing changes in history and not promoting the religious belief in reincarnation. After all, China is supposedly great the way it is now, so why should they allow their citizens to fantasize about changing history?

Interesting, any romance?
Being a fictional story is not the main point about how they got around the censorship. I think the drama is even more brilliant for having to eliminate the time travel/reincarnation element. Fan Xian was born with digital memories of advanced human civilization that has already self-destructed from a Pandora's box type of situation. The human race had to start over almost from scratch. Fan Xian's mother tells him how society destroyed itself and warns him to not repeat the same mistake. However, Fan Xian famously says that humans have never been able to conquer their desire to satisfy their curiosity and that he intends to open Pandora's box.

Time travel stories are banned. JOL got around this by making the character have digital memories of an advanced human era. The advanced era ended and humans had to start over from nothing (except some inherited culture/knowledge from the past). Therefore, his memories are of the past and not the future.

The topic of the whole series is their struggle as a gay couple, but your review boils down to, 'the series isn't good because it portrays an unhealthy relationship.' What?

I don't think Fukuhara is "gay panicking" around Shinomiya because he's "homophobic". More so because his initial…
There is nothing homophobic about Fukuhara. Every episode details how alert and anxious he is all the time. Sitting next to Shinomiya at the table with his classmates, he was thinking about how those 'hyenas' want his seat. Fukuhara was also worried about approaching Shinomiya's table after they agreed to date when he overheard those women talking about who Shinomiya is dating. He wasn't worried about being caught dating a man but about catching their negative attention and having their relationship known when he expects to have to break up soon anyway. Like most people, Fukuhara assumes that he is straight and has never thought about his sexual identity because he's only been thinking about his bad luck. He has never dated or physically interacted with women or men in a romantic way. Fukuhara being jumpy with Shinomiya is expected. He is actually more nervous with Shinomiya because he thinks he's not only lying about his true motives for dating him but also lying about his sexual orientation. Again, Fukuhara's assumption is that he's straight. Fukuhara is confused about his attraction to Shinomiya and it's normal to feel nervous and scared about those feelings since he has no romantic/sexual experience, no knowledge of gay relationships/sex, and lives in a conservative society. Why did he look up kissing a man? Why not? He would've looked up kissing in general if it had been a woman since it was his first kiss. But it was a man, so he wanted to research both the kiss and the fact that it was a kiss with a man since he literally knows NOTHING and has NO friends to ask. How many dramas have we watched where straight characters Google kissing and everything else new happening to them? Nothing homophobic is going on here...

Nope you’re wrong because Fuse is the one who ask Tee to have sex with him. Tee even ask him if he is sure about…
Reading the novel doesn't change anything. Drunk people cannot consent to sex. Whether they suggested sex first, actively participated in sex or even realize the next day that they enjoyed the sex or are happy about the sex, it is still non consensual. If the person chooses to be okay with what happened while they were drunk and to even date the person, then that is their own choice and it is their own life. It is just that nothing changes the fact that it was nonconsensual sex and no one watching the series or reading the novel should have any delusion that it is okay to have sex with a drunk person and that maybe it will lead to happy ever after... The point of clearing up this matter in comments is to make it obvious that this is not something that is okay to do in real life, because so many people seem to think it is okay to have sex with a drunk person. When we see other bad things on TV, like murders, many people already understand that it is fiction and that they should not copy that behavior in real life.

This is one of my favorite BLs. I'm surprised to hear there was any backlash when this aired. So many BLs and hetero dramas have serious issues with consent and sexual assault but don't seem to get backlash for it. I didn't find any issue with this drama and thought it was very refreshing in this genre.
