It almost feels like the writers changed midway. Like I said before and I agree with others, SM needs to apologize…
Although I understand your sentiment, I also think it's to be expected, because we did not know much about Shen Hao Ming in the beginning arcs. He was almost like a background character, an accessory for Xu Yan if you will -until the truth was revealed. Mid way through the drama, we can see he was still adamant on his opinions about his wife, and then slowly we can also see he actually loves her. his personality shines. clearly an idiot for his soon to be ex-wife. There is a phrase, "Distance makes the heart grow fonder" and that is exactly what happened with SHM. Tbf, I hate that he still acts like he's above all, example like he is still using money to persuade the girlfriends, but he has shown he is capable of changing or admitting fault so there is something promising about him.
The pep talk with Xu Yan and his son really did change Hao Ming, he gave a good apology to his father. I think this is when we see him change for the better. *crossing fingers*
I didn’t understand the scenes where they were dressing up in all pink and black checking in trying to get the…
It was real, they were trying to share how in love they were to the Russian couple like, "Look at us, we're just like Barbie and Ken." Then when the Russian wife said she prefers Twilight cause their love story was better or something, they went to dress as Bella and Edward. lol They did this because the Russian couple cherishes family and love, and thats what the leads wanted to showcase in order to warm up and get close to the couple. This way is easier to ask for something like a business deal that SHM wanted.
Today's episodes was fun and hilarious to watch! Our leads somewhat confess their true thoughts in ep 20. SHM pissed me off because he still thinks XY only married him for the benefits like a gold digger. Yet she clearly says she loved him, while he used her for his benefit. Ironic. During the restaurant scene, I feel like he was very genuine when he says he misses her. And the part when she made his zongzi just the way he liked it is when he realized that she's no gold digger per say, no gold digger would remember what ingredients the man wants in his zongzi. I'm sure SHM regrets it very much, maybe in the next episode is when we see him try and win XY back. This will be fun. LOL
The thing about this drama is that it uses a lot of metaphors and imagery, which is something I haven't noticed much of in other dramas. Perhaps I may have overlooked them, but I quite like see them in this drama. It helps because it prevents the writers and directors from dragging the story too long.
This is gonna be rude, but Qiao Lin sucha loser. Even after her parents pampering her etc she hasn't changed at…
It seems like you're thinking superficially. lol Qiao Lin is not a bad girl at heart, she truly cares for her sister, Xu Yan. The only reason why she's the way she is is because of their parents treating her differently. Xu Yan never openly complained in front of her sister about the mistreatment and neglectment. She was always seen as the obedient one, not someone who was neglected. How do you expect Qiao Lin to understand when both siblings were raised differently? Plus, pamerping Qiao Lin or any kid like her can lead to stunt in self-growth. Now that she's out of her parents' reach then perhaps this is the best opportunity for her to grow and learn to understand Xu Yan's side of the story. We can obviously see Xu Yan doesn't truly blame her sister for the mistreatment, in fact she still cares about her older sister.
Isn't ML supposed to be a veteran actor? Is it his character, or does he just suck in this one? Bro doesn't suit…
I think his character was pretty mellow, almost like an accessory to Xu Yan, until episode 5, when you notice the fake "acting" his character does to get his family distracted from Xu Yan's parents. It shows he knows a lot more than he says he does. Afterall, he has an informant checking on Xu Yan 24/7, the audience just haven't seen his side of the story yet.
I quite like the story, it's understandable why Xu Yan is trying to erase or hide her past. It seems due to her parents' favoritism towards her sister, she felt like she was not loved growing up. The high school exam was the turning point in her life that confirms it. I had ssomething similar happen growing up that I learned to put on a facade, not lies per say, but a "happy face." I digress, I fear that Xu Yan is going to end up with repercussions from her lies because it's so big that it can't be contained any longer. However, there are definitely parts of her that is genuine - her dedication to her work, she refuses to use shortcuts. That I really admire since she has a boyfriend that she can definitely use. It also seems her love for Hao Ming is also genuine. I'm kind of sad that Hao Ming (William Chan) is basically an accessory character - hopefully its not like that for long.
guys i got confused in ep 2, help. in ep 1, the family aready meet and they seems to already live in tgt. then,…
Yep, they're just speeding forward with the timeline to get the audience up to speed to how they got together. You can tell they got togther, because he's interested in her and vice versa during the hospital scene.
Do you think Hao Ming is also someone with a motive? 👀
