This one is like "Welcome to Samdal-ri" for me. It has similar vibes. Sadly I also have to drop this midway like WTS because nothing is really happening anymore. It's hard to watch a 16-episode drama with no plot.
I usually enjoy the dramas rated below 8 a lot more and rate them higher in the end, I realised. That's why you should never skip a drama that has "low ratings". Sometimes a 7.0-7.9 drama might be a gem to you.
I had such high hopes at the beginning because it felt like a healing drama with realistic capturing emotions. The chemistry between the cast is amazing, especially between the main leads. I didn't mind the slow burn because for me it felt good to watch it but somehow around episode 5-6 it went downhill for me. I can't even imagine this drama going on for 16 episodes when I'm already feeling so bored watching episode 8. This drama would've benefited less episodes (10-12) so some things could've developed faster. I wanted to see more from Samdal's sisters because I was very curious to know their back stories. Sadly they lost me because of the slow burn and showing more of Samdal's story. I might complete this drama sooner or later but for now I want something a little bit more exciting. Also I'm kind of disappointed that they focus more on the life on the village than Samdal doing something about the rumour and trying to get back to the business. Such a shame because she doesn't seem to be the person to hide like this for a long time. The writers also lost me with their inconsistency in unfolding the stories/plot. The back stories were shown in weird time placements and continued episodes later. It was a bit annoying. I also didn't get the emotions between the characters. In one moment they seemed to have feelings for each other and in the next moment they forgot that something happend and behaved like friends. Nevertheless the chemistry was good but at some point I didn't know what the writers wanted to achieve with this because they only achieved that I lost interest.
Omg he was two timing the gals ? Am on ep5 I was just confused why is he on a lovey dovey date with nayeon what…
He broke up with her at first but they still hung up together after that because his ex-gf still loved him and to me it seemed like he still liked her too but because of the love spell he was always around Hongjo at the same time he was seeing her on/off. It felt iffy to me. He should avoid Nayeon as best as he can but I kinda get it if he still has feelings for her. This situation is so unnecessary. Idk what the writers were thinking.
I'm at episode 6 and I have a feeling I might drop it sooner or later... there is no chemistry between the leads. Ik they're not in love yet but there is nothing intriguing about this drama. Song Kang just looks overly hot as always and that's it. Also the comedy feels... lame. Not my cup of tea.
if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all :) that's your opinion. Let people enjoy what they want. You don't need to bring them down for it. I have nothing to say anymore, have a good day!
I don't think her review was overly positive. She even rated this drama with a 8/10. Nevertheless I think your comment to her review is unnecessary and uncalled for. You can't label someone as not smart because they have another opinion than you. You just keep critizing everyone in the comment section who leaves a positive review. Let them be for god's sake.
these days i feel dramas become the same. unique setting like time travel or castaway. then a dream and being…
Recently I also recognized that after watching a lot of 2023 dramas. They seem to have all the same plot and storyline so yeah, it feels like an ongoing trend.
The chemistry between the leads is amazing! Also after a very long time I am actually liking the OST. It fits perfect. I haven't read the webtoon but halfway through this drama I can say that I enjoy it so far.
I dropped Someday or One Day but I have to say I felt more things in the original than the korean remake. I can't even watch more than two episodes because there is no chemistry or tension between the characters.
I don't like men like Gwanhee. I can assume why he thinks and behaves like he does but to me he's emotionally immature and a jerk. I was glad that Hajeong told him how disrespectful he behaved and called him a few times out. At the same time I was a bit frustrated with Hajeong when she apologized to him. Imo she didn't need to because she only stated facts and this guy needs a reality check. But I can't blame the three girls for having feelings for him. You start to paint the red flags pink when you like someone. Guys like Gwanhee know how to make the girls hook up on him. Hands down to Gyuri for not giving him a chance.
Overall I like that they changed a lot of things in this season. It's way better than the first two seasons. My favs are for sure Jinseok and Hajeong. I also enjoy Dex as a host. It was a good choice to make him a part of the hosts.
I don't feel the romance between all the characters... this could've been way better if they included more fantasy and likeable characters. I'm not fond of anyone in this drama. The two-timing was unnecessary and the FL a bit selfish. Dopping it at episode 8. Can't bother anymore.
Suzy looks stunning in this drama. I love everything so much about her here - from her hair to her style. Black hair suits her the best for sure. Also the atmosphere and scenery are amazing! Plus I loved the chemistry between the leads. You felt the deep emotions. But I have to say Yira kinda annoys me with her loud personality. Her and her friends are annoyingly loud... make my ears bleed.
But I have to say... it was kinda hard to watch when the ML looks similiar to someone I had a situationship with and recently broke the contact off. It was a bit hard to watch their sweet scenes because it reminded me of the time with him. This drama does have a good message I empathize with at the moment because I'm in a similar situation as Doona. Except there is no Won Joon in my life haha I think because of that I cried a lot during this drama. The end is pretty realistic and I'm satisfied with it.
Could have been shorter... idk about the action as a genre. Wouldn't say there was any action. The murder didn't make any sense and seemed forced to make the plot a bit more interesting. He was the most useless murder I've seen so far in a kdrama. They didn't even tell us anything about him. He seemed just to randomly kill people. Could've been better overall. I was a bit disappointed because the start seemed promising. I don't think a rating of 8.9 is justified at all.

Also I have to say Shin Hyesun is an amazing actress. Her crying scene was top notch!
