I just finished binging this drama in 2 days and I'm an emotional wreck. Everything is just SO beautifully executed, the emotions, the dialogue, the storyline, the little hints and clever clues the writer puts here and there. Literally crying buckets of tears those last 2 episodes. I couldn't have asked for a better cast and ending to tie everything together, this really was a masterpiece.
People were not looking for Rom Com. The Rom Com is what most of us felt was wrong with the show. It was shoehorned…
Yeah, I actually do agree that the romance was unnecessary and could've been taken out. Itaewon Class made it to my top list not because it was perfect, but because I enjoyed it. I meant to say that this show has a higher level of seriousness and depth compared to other dramas, which is why I wouldn't recommend it to people looking for a rom-com.
I personally enjoyed this movie for a weekend watch. I think people came in with too high expectations considering it's labeled as a sequel to TTB. The story is entirely different and there is no continuation. We have new main leads, new conflicts (not just zombies, we know that), and all of this takes 4 years later when they are no longer just trying to survive but also compete.
I'm actually surprised at all the negative reviews. All the leads have very complex characters. They are not one-dimensional--the writer intentionally made those characters have multiple layers, which can make it complicated and frustrating to the audience. I can understand if people hate a character's personality, but this isn't the product of "bad writing." It's how they were meant to be written.
This is personally in my top 10 list, I thoroughly enjoyed this drama. The drama teaches real lessons, tackles real social issues, all of which makes it more realistic that way. It made me cry really hard. If you're looking for a rom-com or fast-paced thriller, this is not for you, and no it will not be for everybody. You really need to enter this show with an open mind and deep understanding for each character, their backstory, and why they act the way they do.
Can anyone recommend a drama with a similar feeling? Not necessarily a similar plot, but that fuzzy "dreamlike"…
tbh i've been trying to look for a drama like this too and i recently watched "live up to your name" which is also a romance time travel drama! it gave me similar vibes and ended up loving it a lot. and i've also seen extraordinary you which is an amazing drama and i totally get what you mean. go back couple is a rare gem.
i've been following the webtoon since the start and i'm curious to see how the drama adaptation is like, and where it'll end. people have been anticipating this since forever and it's really here! ngl i'm team seojun hahaha but maybe the drama will change my mind
This comment section is so sad, really. People who don't know Park Shin Hye might really think that she's the…
I second this. Park Shin Hye has clearly improved a LOT and I have a feeling most of this is bandwagon hate from what people have "heard" about her acting skills. I doubt they actually followed her dramas to see her growth and are just giving blind hate. She's a very talented actress. And I agree they gave her a weak role in MOTA, she had so much potential to make her character bloom, but was unfortunately limited by the script.
ahh jung haein and hyeyoon, 2 of my favorite actors!! I initially watched seungjo in chocolate and he's great, and this will be my first drama with jisoo but I have good expectations. definitely on top of my list of dramas to look forward to in 2021!
Watched this a few weeks ago but still can't move on. A real masterpiece, never lost its thrill until the end, and I became so attached the the characters. The cast did an incredible job and the production/cinematography was on-point.
