finally finished this one, too many episodes for nothing, i don't really like the fl actress and can't relate to her childish voice and speaking and mannerism and i simultaneously watched another drama with her in it and she was like this in there too, so i guess that's how she is. the romance was kinda cheesy and didn't really feel anything about it. there were too many annoying character-Chang Heng,his brother, the fairy in love with him,Dong Fang's little brother,Rong Hao etc- the plot was ok, i'm not gonna be too harsh about it, it was interesting but could be better. or if they just had made less episodes and made less unnecessary waste of time in between 🤷🏻♀️ i watched this because of the high rating but honestly don't see what's so special about it
i really loved the first 12 episodes but the last 4 episodes are torture. like how much screen time do you need for crying and begging and crying even more? i still havent finished it. I'm on episode 14 and it's been a few days of me watching it little by little because NOTHING is happening and they're just going round and round to make it extra dramatic🤦🏻♀️i get it, they're all sad she is dying, get it over with anyway, still a pretty good show, i will not give it a low score because of these last 4 eps. 8.5 is ok for this one
you can try Love Like the Galaxy for a historical. It's well written. Or Who Rules the World for a wuxia.

I'm not a westerner myself, but i just find it weird that they have lots of kiss scenes, many of them, but no proper kiss or at least a proper build up to that kiss just to give the romantic feeling. well, I'm ok if the serie has other things to offer like i really liked the story of seven lives, but the other ones i watched didn't have much to offer and these random kisses didn't help.
last week i decided to give chinese dramas a chance for the first time and i searched some high rating dramas to watch. i started with "my uncanny destiny" which the whole acting and scenarios were so fake and the story seemed like it was written by a 10 y.o, so i dropped it and tried another which was "the romance of tiger and rose" which was better than the other one but the main character didn't make any sense to me and her character was so random and the cinematography was also awful jumping scenes midsentence and ending the episodes abruptly and the romance was not giving me any feeling so i dropped that one around ep17 as well but i liked the ML's acting and i found this serie from Ding Yuxi's profile and although this serie's rating is somewhat lower than those two, i quite enjoyed it. the story was creative and interesting and the fact that they experienced new lives each time was like watching a new show and didn't get boring. their kisses don't give me any feelings though, in all chinese dramas they peck? anyway, Ml was quite attractive. only the sml annoyed me so much i wanted to punch his stalking,obsessive creepy face through the screen. their fifth lives didn't make sense to me though. i didn't know what was happening. one moment they wanted to look for that Lee guy's clues then it got political and i got lost. their second,third and the demon king lives were the most interesting
the other episodes weren't such a drag for me but since last week i feel like each episode gets more and more filler scenes without anything happening specially ep 13🤷🏻♀️ it's great that you can enjoy it fully though
