I didn't know they were dating for real. The gap is unusual, but they look adorable together and hopefully they're happy and that should be enough for us as strangers.
the Chinese version was hella better, in my humble opinion. The ML had this BDEnergy and was actually mature for his age. The age gap was also believable and the older man was an actual viable option.

this is interesting, thank you for this glimpse into Japanese work culture. I wonder if this treatment is extended to and expected from foreigners working in Japan. I would struggle to fit it, I must confess.
