I know there are cutting scenes which make the drama became incoherent in some part. And my understanding for those cutting scenes is the censorship ( for whatever reasons pp still guessing and talking about ). But u blame the crew member or editor. I think they already tried their best. No one put money and times to filming then just to cut it all. They already said that it can be air is already good enough, implied that they have issues in trial and that might couldn't be aired in the first place. When they said u cut then u cut, u blurred then blurred, do what I said or do not aired it. What else we can do ?

Is there such an idiot who overthrow all these relationship scenes for no reasons ? Why only relationship scene was cut and not others. Why they target only those scenes ? If there are bad editor then all other scenes will have the same fate. Today there is no love scenes of the main couple, 2 eps really well edited. The pacing is just right, supporting actor, actress act well too.

3rd child policy basicly they told Chinese pp - hey, we need more people now, just have more children. I speak then you just follow that, ok !! But the gouverment didn't have any real or clear program abou it tho ..., therefore, no one want a 3rd child, they even don't want to have children.

The list alone is a comedy ! I tried to search about it on China baidu in Chinese but it didn't give any result. I guesss it's forbiden keywords, hope to see pp talk about that in comment somewhere.

Hater and toxic pp in review comment, yeah, but not in discussion section. Or u can go to weibo site of iqiyi or this drama too, or douyin but a lot of comment usually get deleted later.

I read them directly in Chinese forum and weibo. Chinese pp are not idiots, and they use some special code when talk about sensitive problem. If you want, you can go to douban site of this drama and see what pp talk about the censorship of this drama and some others drama too,. Actually Wuxia, Xianxa, historical drama has been a target of Chinese gouverment recently. It has been a land of fantasy with famous actor/actress, high investement, some quality production., and it became a thorn for those pp in censorship bureau. They want drama like "life in village, mountain", limited of too beautiful, exposed wealth element ..etc... But nobody watch these kind of drama, so they need to use actor, actress. Recently we have the story of Xing Fu, Hu Tong ... those are kind of drama get promoted.

The pictures or color/cinematography in this drama work just fine, compare to other drama, it's not the best but not something too terrible. Fighting scenes were very well filmed.

Untamed was banned in China. The 2 lead actor finding a hard time to comeback. All their other dramas was postponed air date. We are lucky because the banned came after it aired. Today it will never pass trial

The begginning of this drama when the romance was not begin is not bad editting. All other scene does not invole love was well filmed and edited. .We also can see the pattern of edit/cutting scene here. The director also answered ( althought his comment was deleted ) that stop asking him about it, and this drama can be aired is already good .
Beside some new regulation for historical drama, the main theme of this drama is kind of a taboo. The ML is an eunuch. He is fake, yeah. but the FL doesn't know. She loves him know matter what. She is willing follow him and spend their life without children, just have a happy life together.
The message of this drama is you can love anyone no matter who they are. ( to extend, it can be same sex, diff race...etc.. ) It's abnormal in certain way, therefore can't be promoted.
There are some drama already effect, recently a modern drama with the police theme get banned bcs in the drama the FL fall in love with a drug dealer.

If the broadcast station cuts something then released it, then it's not the uncut version. The uncut version is actually the version that past trial, but for some reasons, the broadcast station deciced to cut it. Also the rules changes all the times, sometimes, I see thing was banned, then un-banned later. Some drama already past trial, later was stopped in the middle of broadcasting and completely eraser from the public.
Haizz, about the censorship , it's really a land of unknow, if everything is so reasonable, then we are not here discussing about that.
Actually, I don't bother by the cutting scenes earlier, I don't care about kissing or anything like that either , but the probleme is the show is becoming incoherent. The feeling that seem like it missing some parts, then there are part you don't understand. It lowered the quality. But u are right, we shouldn't complain too much, who know this drama may be deleted some day, or worse they can restrict or even ban actor or actress, or director . Untamed is the example. :(

After the trial, there will be only 1 version can be broadcast on any platform. If they make other version, Chinese people will questioning lead to doubting , and switch to watch other versions. As you can see, today they already tried to find other version of this drama.

From what I read here and there, first may be there is new regulation for historical drama. And the idea that you can love anyone doesn't matter who they are, like the FL in this drama is taboo. If you can love an eunuch, so does LGTB, even he's fake a eunuch, but the FL didn't know that, she loved him, willing spent life with him, even without children. That's inappropriate and was not promoted.

The funny things is they are trying to find the "overseas" version, questioning that if there is any different. Haizzz, nah nah nah, we are watching the same show, our fate is the same as yours !

Its already did somehow. This drama could be really really good.
