I really think unless things changes, there’s been little Comedy and no Romance between the leads up until now. (I have not seen ep 9 yet)
I’m NOT saying this is not a good Kdrama.
But if someone says “look a my new pickup truck and they’re showing you a car…” - you’re going to be confused.
Still I love the leads and second leads. Not SR’s mother 😡 There is time to totally change the feel of the show, but at this point it’s more like a melodrama.
PS: QoT > Genres: Comedy, Romance, Life, Drama I did not find there was much comedy at all.
Maybe LND needs a Genre adjustment, so we look at it through the proper lens… (No hate, just an opinion)
I'm commenting here just to correct you. I'm a healthcare worker and someone who has experienced having a family…
Thank you for the detailed info of her illness!
I agree with you, the flashback are for the benefit of the viewer. The details are for us to understand the depth of their relationship. The incidents that shaped their relationship.
To those that have different views of the flashbacks that fine, I agree with a different perspective.
"No friends" EXCEPT a very controlling ex boyfriend/fiancé? He was the only one? It doesn't make sense that the…
Yes! I do not like SR’s Ex, thank you for articulating it so well. (I think I was too angry for words! 😡)
You may be on to the controlling Ex thing… SR may say “No” to him but does not stop him from doing what he wants to do then she goes along with it.🤔 >Like the whole thing at SH’s office, why did the Ex get to stay?< (I know because it was written in the script.)
SR seems like a strong person except around the Ex. Also, her mother is abusive, I think mentally and physically. Maybe the Ex is too? 🫣😢
In ep 8 she seems pretty passive with the EX. I hope she will tell him no and send him packing in a firm and direct way.
Sometimes in Kdramas it seems women are pulled around (sometimes by the wrist) and just go along with what the male wants. SR had told EX no, but he keeps showing up & she just accepts his presence. That’s a mixed signal - right? 🫣
As I've been trying to understand why people disagree about the chemistry, I think I'm starting to get where some…
I think you are correct.
For me, not exactly the same, but from person experience… it doesn’t feel good when SR chose her Ex over SH when she was hurting.
Imagine how he feels when he confessed after 20+ years that he likes her and when she needed help she purposely made the choice for the Ex. Pushing his hand away. That can’t make anyone feel positive about themselves. I’m sure there will be explanation… this drama is well crafted to give us the rationale after our emotional response.
So while we sulk along with SH… I’m pretty confident that the ex will be told “no thank you” eventually.
I just feel that SR had been uncharacteristically passive with the EX, when she usually isn’t. Sorry to ramble… I just watched ep 8 - 12 hours ago. 🫣 The actors are really wonderful and if they make us upset (temporarily) they are doing their jobs well!
Just an aside trauma bonding is not two people bonding over trauma. It's specifically about an emotional attachment…
I finally watched ep 8 because I couldn't wait a longer! I could feel the sadness in SH when SR chose her ex over him. SH’s disappointment and hurt were palpable. 😢🫣🤔
Just wow…thank you!

I just wanted to make sure I didn’t miss a character…
Thanks for you no-subs observations, too!!

Sorry I’m looking on the cast page but, I’m missing it?
Is it Bae Seok Ryu, darn Hangul…🤔🫣

When she gets her “good partner” to join her as her practice partner… maybe 🤔.
(HYR & CEG)
Then the door will get fixed.
And “break them up”?🫣

She’s one of the worst mothers in the Kdrama world!
imo

To me, I hate angst, break-ups, love triangles and all the standard tropes, especially:“nobel idiocy”!
But this is one that to me really worked well!
That’s just my opinion…
If you do watch, let me know what you think!🫣
