Wow that’s quite the review of these episodes and character analysis!I think your character analysis of the…
Right, I get nurture vs nature.

He is (based on what we’ve seen, not an evil guy.
Especially when compared to his pure evil vil mother. (I wonder if she killed the father/her husband? I don’t think he had an affair as eluded to…)
The mother’s assistant Mr Han is another purely evil character.
And let’s face it the other son (half-brother) is a POS too.
>> He is the spawn of the two most evil people on the show! <<

Title My Sweet Mobster Spoiler
Yeah... Episode 14 confirmed it... My Sweet Mobster has unfortunately been contaminated by the usual dragging…
Sadly, I think I agree on the number of episode. While I do like this Kdrama, I can’t watch most of the episodes in one sitting. I can’t pinpoint why however… pacing?
To be fair I do not like the parts when the leads relationship is in peril of ending. Be it a typical trope: noble idiot syndrome, love triangle / 2ML, or the misunderstanding due to lack of honest adult conversation.
While there is a lack of candor on the part of our ML…because he lacks relationship experience and what most women want in a relationship he is intentionally unaware.

I was unhappy with the 2ML for a time, still have to watch ep 14 so we’ll see. So far this is mostly enjoyable. Perhaps though 14 is the new magic number for most rom-coms…bless they want to include more happy and satisfying scenes were the lads can enjoy the angst they went through for most of the episodes…🤔

Wow that’s quite the review of these episodes and character analysis!I think your character analysis of the…
Regarding the FL’s (& her husband’s) son… while it wasn’t shown, I believe (in the show it was revealed) he died in a skiing accident that the FL wasn’t able to go on with him because her mother-in-law, PMR sent or forced her to go on for “company business”. (Was that intentional)

The MIL is an evil person who doesn’t see the importance of parents in a child’s life. She treats people as her personal things to command as she pleases.

Further, as evidence of her evilness, she want to use her son’s child from his affair/mistress as the child (FL’s) that died.

Why his death was not revealed to us is unclear, but I think (🤔) that the FL didn’t want the death revealed because she feels, emotionally at least, responsible because she wasn’t able to or allowed to be there to protect him. 😢

Damnnn, these last episode’s were just fire 🔥. Very sad that , it is ending it next week. Why all the good…
I think we’ll know for sure who killed his partner, well we kind of do already…imo!
These last two episodes were intense! I’m happy the leads are more definite about their feelings!
It was really impressive that ML was able to leave the FL to comfort her husband after she admitted she loved the ML (at gun-point no less!)!

Hmmm...I'm thinking of watching this one. However, Perfect Marriage Revenge was a disappointment for me. The revenge…
I think in PMR the revenge as a “perfect marriage” and a happy life! The revenge in PMR was lite… I enjoyed it and MMH.
Not-a fan of most Kdrama tropes, but these were pretty tame….

This drama is addictive and I can’t believe it will end next week.I apologize in advance if I use a big space…
Wow that’s quite the review of these episodes and character analysis!

I think your character analysis of the FL’s husband is very on target. That said he doesn’t deserve the FFL‘s forgiveness or love. Yes he’s had a horrible upbringing and a dysfunctional understanding of what love is supposed to be, but I don’t think he deserves her anymore.
To me cheating ends all that in a relationship. She deserves to be happy with the ML if that’s what the writer decides. I think they care about each other deeply. Though if the FL doesn’t get divorced they may never have the relationship they seem to want.

I do feel a little sad for the mistress and her son. It’s definitely not the kids fault he’s in this situation.

I agree this is a great Kdrama and the actors are doing a superb job!

I’ve heard she was in the webnovel. 🫤I don’t know 100%, but she was very unpopular since she appeared (Jan/Feb)…
Now I’m sad she wasn’t in the Kdrama!

Was that his step-sister’s (Hee-yeon’s) mother?

I think people who don't do great with time/space change stories rated this low.For a timeline loop type story…
I throughly enjoy this Kdrama!
I’ve watched it multiple times, especially a few selected episodes.

If you let the inconsistency of time/space travel go, it’s a truly a heartwarming story! (Imho!🫣)

I am on episode 12 and even though I enjoy the sci fi element (it's giving Fringe which is one of my fav shows)…
It may or may not help, but if you think that a lot of romance or relationship stuff took place off screen it may help.

Though the leads spend a lot pre-relationship time together, I think LG was in love with TE since the moment he met her or probably before.

And from first kiss to TE falling in love was a lot of her thinking about him, fate and that’s about all we are shown.

Let me ask a question, well two, but I start with:

When LG brings TE flowers, how does she know, as she narrated, he was from another time (& did he vanish in the middle of their kiss?)?

Many of us are right there with you!👍🏻Now the long wait until after the Olympics. 😢
Yes, so true!
And not to be repetitive, but many of us have been “suffering “ through this drama:
Wash-rinse-repeat and when we are finally getting some forward momentum… the (pause)⏸️ button is pressed.

I don’t remember this happening before but it was two years ago if t did, so I guess it wasn’t too traumatic…lol.

On Viki it shows the next ep 37 in 16 days 😢

On Kocowa, there’s nothing about ep 37 yet but that’s not unusual as it doesn’t show the next episode until the day before…

My hope is it’s a Viki pause… then I’ll be happy that I pay they extra $10 +/- a month for Kocowa 🫣

I have never read the webtoon, but that sounds like an interesting addition.
Was she an evil stepmother?

Title The Heirs
After years of watching Kdramas, I finally decided to watch The Heirs.
Despite a lot of strong opinions for and against, it was a good drama.

When I watch older dramas I need to adjust to how women are treated. How they are spoken to and pulled around like dolls with respect to what they want or don’t. And like in the American TV show: Dallas, how a forced kiss can turn in to something the female just agrees to mid-kiss.

Maybe that actually happens, as fortune favors the bold. Still it’s not easy to accept for someone who believes in equality, respect, and equal rights for all.

My only real criticism for this show (except for the cliches and tropes) is that it should have been about college age young people. While the characters are at times immature and childish- the things they deal with seem much more adult than high schoolers, forget “being 18”. I think that just makes it easier for international viewers to accept some very adult situations.

Again it was an enjoyable watch, if you suspend reality for the 20 hours or so of the series. That said it was enough to keep me watching the entire 20 episodes over 3 days.

Enjoy and decide for yourself. This was just my take after watching. 😊

any love triangle? How many couples are there? Any bitchy character like na hee(once again)?
I was going to suggest…
Live Your Own Life.

I will say there is a love triangle, but the female at the top of the triangle was never really interested on one of the suitors.

That become apparent after some time.

Perhaps as a father, I am too forgiving.
I also believe that two wrongs don’t make a right. (LoL)🫣

I guess we’ll have to agree to disagree, but that’s okay. I enjoy discussing KDramas with you!

I’m happy to hear you finished and liked it overall.

Yes I agree that Gang-Jae was the least redeemable of the children. I’m really not sure where the chip on his shoulder comes from? Alas, I guess it comes from the writer! 🤔

We may disagree, but I really didn’t like the father. I understand why he did that forcing of Kang-Shim’s ex on her, but I find it completely reprehensible.
I know or it seems S Koreans don’t believe in mental health or counseling, but to force your grown-ass daughter to date and with the ex that’s broke her heart is just WRONG.

We can disagree about that point, but I agree with your findings in general.

Are you ready for another long drama? I have a more recent one that was of course frustrating but entertaining as well…

If you aren’t up for it then that’s okay, of course, too! 😊

It finally gets good and we have to wait a few weeks. The showrunners know what they are doing shoehorning that…
You are right, things are finally happening and now we need to wait weeks until we see it.

I think we will have to wait a couple episodes (+/-) until we see the final seen from the last episode in context. I think it was a teaser scene instead of a preview.

I’m also happy to see JT, recover from his shock and care more about his daughter than his pain. Treating PS decently is the right thing to do for MR’s well-being and it shows us he’s starting to return to his normal rational Self.

On the JD topic, in addition to the new twist, I really want to see his fiancée catch him saying to JY/PDR, “you’re my girlfriend now”.

I’m really tired of PDR / JY being a doormat. The only one she’s consistently strong against is the one who is truly on her side - PS!
