I believe there was/is a strike by doctors in S Korea in protest of more medical schools and thus more doctors. I guess that will make the workload and income less for doctors already practicing.😷
So I think the Korean public is not happy with the current situation and would probably not be interested in medical drama fiction when it’s a bad situation in real life.

I don’t think the FL actually knew the story between the ML and his mother.
Thought it was perhaps wrong and inappropriate, I think she did it to prevent the ML from having regret when his mom passed away.
Again I think the FL did it from a place a caring and not for a malicious reason.
