I know death is sad, but she lived in to her 80’s. If she died in 2024 that would have been tragic for her and HW. I think because we (the viewers) didn’t get to see but a moment or two of happiness with our couple…that 50 years went by in a “flash” it felt sudden and tragic.

It’s hard to convey, but we got to know they had a whole life together, had a child and met again in heaven. So though my heart is heavy - it was the ultimate happy ending. 😢🙂🙏🏻

She wasn’t warm and fuzzy but after the improved communication it was 100% better for both.
I agree that HW had quiet and determined strength.
And HI would pick him every time.

For me when ES picked HI
up from there storage place and HW caught up… I don’t think I could have just let my wife go with b ES alone. That really bothered me.
And the the crap during HI’s surgery and after… next leave triggering!
