I think the FL said becuase her mom had huge debt at the time that she couldn't pay back so she married the rich…
I’m sorry to be the bearer of sad news on this point… >>> nope we’re not given any further information! It’s like a create your own backstory type of Kdrama…lol
There was so much I was looking forward to being discovered / uncovered during this drama. 😢🤯😬
I REALLY wanted Kang Ki Young to have an amazing Main role in a romance / drama. Unfortunately this isn't it.…
It would be cool to see what a Secretary Kim level staff could do with the Kdrama. I think the actors were all highly qualified, the other side of the camera was the issue. IMHO 🫣
EP 11 just had me thinking too little too late! 1 hour 20 minutes of a drama and we literally get 20 minutes of…
Very good summary / prediction. It could have been a really good show. I don’t think it knows what genre it is either. Maybe “Missed Opportunity” could be a real category!?! (After the series is over of course)
Can anyone tell me whether kdrama writers typically work alone (as credited) or do they have teams and/or editors…
That is a great question! I’d love to see a successful Kdrama writer/writing team could do with this show…. I was really looking forward to some positive movement with the leads if nothing else.
I am greek so I don't find the parents reaction to Na Hee's divorce at all surprising or unrealistic haha, but…
This show is called a weekender. A family values drama. More traditional K values. (And compared to 16 episodes for most KDramas these are 30, 50 or more.)
I think this might be a Korean values thing. I just wrote today why is an adult child getting a divorce a stab in the back to a parent.
I want my son to be happy not be in a marriage to make me happy.
This is my second “Weekender” so maybe this is a theme of this kind of drama, but in Korea (Korean dramas) why do the adult parents of the divorcing couple get angry. In a perfect world they should be supportive but not punitive. I guess it’s a cultural thing ?
How is a child getting a divorce a stab in the parents back?
I’m seeing a lot of negative reviews…I’m thinking not to watch it (?)
As @ivy said… I think you have the benefit of being less disappointed because others have watched it already…
It definitely a writing / direction deficit. It could be so much better. The actors leads and second leads are mostly solid (tried & true) professionals. They have done well in other series such as Extraordinary Attorney Woo and Penthouse even one the “junior” actors was a regular in Alchemy of Souls.
Perhaps they needed to write in more romance or romantic opportunities for the leads. And with two episodes left, they have not told us their (leads) back story( even 50%) yet - at least to me.
Please Watch it - & share your thoughts & reactions!
It came out a month + ago but couldn’t find great subtitles. The first 2 episodes [with semi good subs] were great!
Is there an unwritten rule that there can’t be too many happy scenes per episode or series?
I feel for TH being keep in the dark is disrespectful and wrong in a relationship. Especially right before their wedding vows.
Very disappointed with HS, but I chalk that up to the way she is being written now.
I wrote something like this on a previous comment:
I wonder what how far the show landed from what the producers pitched to get it “sold”!?!?
This was a failure (in my amateur opinion) of the staff behind the camera and not the actors in front of it!
>>> nope we’re not given any further information!

I look for your comments!
If you have Netflix there is a new Japanese Drama starring a Korean actor playing a Korean.
Called:
Eye Love You
The young couple just seemed happy being together!?!
I’m from & in the US. What part of the world are you in?
Couple rings aren’t a thing in the US..
I guess it’s on to the next Kdrama now…
I can’t watch it again, but I’m pretty sure.
I would love to ask the writer / director:
Was this the story they wanted to tell and how satisfied are they?
At least we can look forward to KKY in Extraordinary attorney Woo season 2!
It could have been a really good show.
I don’t think it knows what genre it is either.

Maybe I’m missing something… please share where you see character growth. Maybe I’m missing it
(I sincerely wanted this show to do well.)

So far a LOT needs to happen & be explained.
I really wish this could be rewritten & redone. The actors are all really good but the story is lacking so far. 😢
