I can understand your position and even agree on many points, but ‘ ghosting’ your almost husband with no communication is really cruel.

I know that mental health is not as acceptable as here in the US, but a 15 second scene of HS going to a therapist’s office would have made her year of change more believable.

Just running away like her father, knowing how much it hurt (her & her family) is not cool. How does that undo 20 years old the ptsd she went through.

TH’s love was strong and in the end it was a drama with a really unpopular final 4-ish episodes.

I enjoy your insights and writing and look forward to “seeing” on another drama soon!

PS: I’m not arguing with your position- just how I’d feel if it happened to me. But as the saying (I think) goes at the end of the day it’s entertainment and everyone takes it differently. ✌🏻

I was a bit late to the ‘party’, but through MDL and this group I found out I’m not the only one who loves (most of the time) KDramas!!!
I couldn’t have gotten through LYOL without this support group!

I just finished a 51 episode “weekender” Kdrama where long haul takes on a whole new meaning!

When I first started watching KDramas I was spoiled because they were older and the whole series (16 episodes mostly) was available at the beginning.

Now 2 episodes a week is tough! LoL!!

I agree…the story is intriguing and the leads are awesome but I guess this is one of those series that doesn’t spoon feed the viewer all the information at once.
I’m not sure how I feel about it yet…

It would be cool if this group of commenters watch another series together!

PS: have you watched: Once Again it’s a weekender from a few years ago. @bloomingtide recommended it to me and it’s a 10/10. It really helped me overcome the angst that LYOL gave me… lol

When you put it that way… regardless of his treatment if TH is happy with HS the way she is then so be it! 👍🏼

I’m still trying to figure out if the leads care for each other. And how much is the SML going to mess things up?
I like the ML from IOTNBO and hate to see his character lose.

I love the leads but I’m having trouble getting in to this drama.
Maybe it’s because there’s not a clear good person so far.

Is the FL attracted to the SML?
Does she know he is wants her / does she want him?

It makes me angry to throw away love like that, but even more to mistreat it coldly.

Maybe it’s time for TM to be the big brother (which he is) and save TH from a lifetime of mistreatment from HS.
So at least he can find happiness!

The preview shows HS smiling and laughing, if you can be happy like that while leaving someone you “love” sad and miserable… then maybe you never really loved them.

As far as LYOL it seems like it’s the 3rd or 4th couple (HJ & MR) to actually make the romance part if this drama happen… lol!!! And cross the finish line!

I love KDramas but there always seems to be something they mess up the ruins the vibe of the series (romance in particular).

I guess with their format they try to make the narrative fit the format.

Unlike in the US where when they have something most viewers like they just keep going. Like ‘Friends’, which I know is an anomaly of sorts and I saw Gray’s Anatomy is on season 20 - can that be right?!?

Maybe every once in a while everything can just work out for most of the cast and audience…
