I respect my elders but don’t think they are infallible. In Korean society if an elder says to jump off a bridge is it wrong not to? Yes I am American but this mother is not a wise elder only shellfish!
She raised her children with love? BS no way! She married a regular guy (HS’s father) and he left her miserable a**!
When will HS ever wake-up to her mother and be a strong adult?
I think TH better notice the strength of his potential spouse, because unless mommy says so - HS will have to wait until her brother passes the bar for a new candidate (lol).

I think that’s a great reminder: Though I love the Kdrama world (and to a lesser extent J/C/T dramas) these are not what I grew up with here in the US.
I am middle aged and have accepted that my 28 year old son will realize I am smarter than he thinks in 10 or 20 years! 😆

So in Korea (or is it HS, a 35 year old woman) that decides to let her POS mother dictate her future with someone she loves? I like them (TH & HS) as a couple but man who wants to put up with a MIL like Seon ‘Suck’? Is HS going to let her mother dictate the rest of her life, married life? Is she going to tell her how many kids she can have.
And @bloomingtide , I know you may disagree but when does she put her husband (future) first? Maybe she won’t? Maybe mom’s wishes supersedes HS & TH wants/needs?
Yes they are a great & compatible couple, but I witnessed in my own family how an interfering mother-in-law and a ‘weak’ daughter can split up a marriage.
I am very frustrated with HS’s mother after this episode. Thank goodness for the previews! ( & thanks for letting me vent!)

As far as the show I forget that as the viewer we know “everything”, like how TaeHo is one of the good guys. HS’s mom only knows what she think she knows.

No one ever says “No mom.” (There should be at least 20 “No moms” per episode. That’s a giant red flag for TM to what their married life will be like! Yikes! 😬

The FL was in Red Ballon though not as the lead and she was awesome. In it she delivers one of the saddest lines I’ve heard in a drama!
