It would be nice to see this series written & directed properly!
Sadly such an interesting premise could have been so much more than it is.

I don’t think the actors are a fault for what this has become. They have proven they can act when give the proper tools (script & direction). Even Seo Hye Won was in Alchemy of Souls and did an awesome job.

I’ve watch many KDramas many do great until the last couple episodes then fall apart. Maybe this one can be the opposite and bring it all together in the last 2 episodes?!?

I hope the writer can manage to explain their history, who her son’s father is (hoping Ki Joon) so she doesn’t have to have the ex & his mother in her life forever!!!

I guess I put myself in the ML’s shoes. I am very tolerant especially if there are strong feelings and love. But I feel at this point Sa Ra may never move forward. Then the ML will continue to pine away and waste years waiting for something that gets more and more unlikely. The FL has been abused by her ex & his family.
She is not showing any growth from that, that I can see. Please tell where if she is.

FL’s Ex husband: I left you in jail and cheated on you, but hey marry me again so I can be control you and let you see your son if i feel like letting you.
FL: okay.

I really had high hopes for this drama!

I love the leads (her: Pandora & Penthouse and loved his character in Extraordinary Attorney Woo)

I really hate when a character is treated badly by the person they love. Poor Ki Joon, he needs to walk away if SaRa goes to her ex POS husband.
Love is one thing being used and tormented and disrespected is another.

If she goes back it’s like the day she did not show up at the airport for Ki Joon. Like a giant middle finger to him.

It’s disrespectful. And as a male viewer super frustrating! How can she not have visitation or custody? Is that how Korean divorce law works?

Also I guess a happy couple in the Kdrama world is only
allowed for the last 15 minutes of a series.

I still have a lot to learn about KDramas , but long weekenders especially!!!!

Her yelling at her daughter was shocking compared to K-dramas!

Though I love the Kdrama world (and to a lesser extent J/C/T dramas) these are not what I grew up with here in the US.

I am middle aged and have accepted that my 28 year old son will realize I am smarter than he thinks in 10 or 20 years!

@bloomingtide I almost called a end to watching this drama after today’s episode.

So in Korea (or is it HS, a 35 year old woman) that decides to let her POS mother dictate her future with someone she loves?
I like them (TH & HS) as a couple but man who wants to put up with a MIL like Seon ‘Suck’?
Is HS going to let her mother dictate the rest of her life, married life? Is she going to tell her how many kids she can have.

And @bloomingtide , I know you may disagree but when does she put her husband (future) first?
Maybe she won’t?
Maybe mom’s wishes supersedes HS & TH wants/needs?

Yes they are a great & compatible couple, but I witnessed in my own family how an interfering mother-in-law and a ‘weak’ daughter can split up a marriage.

I am very frustrated with HS’s mother after this episode.

I was really worried when the ex-husband said let’s be a family so SaRa can see her son. I hope she doesn’t fall for that.
