KMD is not the bottom of the barrel of Filipino BL production groups, but they're close. Direk Cy Ruz holds that distinction; at least the KMD guys are trying.
Was sort of a fan of Xerxes Damuggo from his MLV days, but here he's (intentionally? comedically? ironically?) overacting.
2 things I find curious about "Direk Cy Ruz TV (Magnifico TV)": 1) They keep pumping out BL after BL after BL without any sort of production improvement, nor any inkling that they're even trying to improve (quantity over quality I guess), and 2) almost all of the scenes are shot outdoors.
Most child actors, especially in BL series, come off like they're just spitting back memorized, one-off lines each take. It's amazing the complex lines and scenes they gave this guy and how flawless and natural he pulled them off. "Yukata!" "Yutaka!" "Yukata!" "Yutaka!"
The executive producer has put this up on YT, with EngSubs. In one of the comments, he says he finally decided it was better to put it up than to just let in sit in his hard drive after all these years. I guess it never really was released--he said he lost millions (baht I assume) on it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0HLUGHrLv4
This movie IS quite dark and potentially disturbing--I HIGHLY recommend it! Kinda surprising this was directed by the same guy that directed the web series Bangkok G Story.
it feels like the director didnt learn anything since the first episode of Lovesick. Yes, actors are not very…
You're correct that it's all on the director, but seeing as he's done stuff since Love Sick with better production quality (and some worse!), I think the fact that in order to produce a lot of these BL series, that they need to agree on a VERY cheap budget, is in play here. That necessarily precludes stuff like blocking, practice takes, multiple takes for smoother editing, better (more expensive) actors, etc.
What? Where the heck did you get that? BL stands for "Boys Love". It doesn't have to start with straight characters,…
I didn't say to look up the definition in a dictionary, and I'm not going to research the _history_ for you. Traditional Japanese Yaoi is overwhelmingly _straight_ young guys falling in love with each other, written by straight women, for straight women.

"Yukata!" "Yutaka!" "Yukata!" "Yutaka!"
THIS series, "My Bromance The Series" with Cooper really has nothing to do with any of those.
