The only NF original kdrama to look forward to this year. The first stills and sneak peek look promising!

A bad idea watching this after "Moving". This isn't bad per say, but nowhere near Moving quality, in terms…
I'm a big fan of Moving, but i think two dramas are different takes in same genre. Moving is a 20 eps long form with team play in focus, so it has more room to build the worldview and polish storyline and characters. It is more traditional with large scale spectacle. Cashero is a unconventional twist of the genre, and only 8 eps with single protagonist. the drama is more concept driven with social commentary. To me both shows aim for different things.

This isn't a fancy action drama with grand premise and extraordinary visuals, it basically follows key elements of Korean superpower dramas: Ordinary people, family ties, comedy and social relevance.  Actions and CGI are made more for commercial appeal not the core. It takes a simple and compact approach in storytelling with tight pacing so the drama is very binge worthy.

There are imperfections in some parts of writing and some characters (villains, teammates) could be better fleshed out but not something critical to an extent would distract the viewing experience.  The main storyline and ML's character development (as single protagonist) and team dynamics are solid. No unnecessary fillers or subplots would disrupt the main plot.

What truly make this drama unique are the grounded sense of humor, relatability and a new prospective on money and sacrifice. It's a journey of ML fighting against villains but also a journey of financial survival. I like the drama doesn't play down the value of money but rather have a balanced view out of it. The message between lines are powerful. Watchers who are able to catch the metaphors and messages in the drama would like it more, while its still a quirky fun watch for those who don't.

9/10 for its newness and entertainment value.

I’ve been noticing some surprisingly low ratings for certain K-dramas on MDL, and it honestly leaves me scratching…
Absolutely agreed. The social aspect of this drama is well narrated with good sense of humor, its not easy especially in a action pack drama.

The superpower test is funny, PD Lee Chang Min's sense of humor is one of the best in Kdrama.

On The Dream Life of Mr. Kim Dec 16, 2025
This drama is not simply a narrative of a man’s downfall, but a story of self reconstruction. It is painfully realistic in some parts for its accurate portrayal of job insecurity and office politics in a large corp and personal struggles, but it also well mixed with some sense of humor and heartfeel moments so overall the show was not so hard to watch. The ending was great, Mr Kim was forced to meet himself and ultimately found inner peace by putting down pride/ self esteem. Many people may go thru the same journey like him as we get older and will retire someday. Even I'm younger i can resonate some situations of Mr Kim and people surrounding him. The storytelling and Ryu seung ryong's performance as the center of the show were excellent.

One of the best Kdramas in 2025, solid 9.5/10.

This poster & the release date Dec26 the same date as stranger things .Netflix expectation -is it high or…
Probably hard to get global top position but holiday viewership should be good. Topping Non-English weekly chart still quite possible tho. Actually Strange Things didn't do so well in SK and JP NF charts, so maybe Cashero targets Asian markets more.

They changed the mechanism of using strength in the Netflix adaption. In the webtoon the cash balance remains unchanged when power is used, but here every use drains cash from the wallet and ML is given back change (coins) like using a vending machine.. lol The change is more logical and realistic tho to create conflict between saving people and saving money..

Lee Jun Ho revealed that the reason why the plot became repetitive was because of prod team's involvement. They…
If they think cliche conflicts would help ratings, then at least they should make it more clear of villain's motive and better balance success and failure sequence. Probably they also revised other parts of the script where Pyos didn't show up, such as Thailand plot as the writing and directing were quite messy too.

It really comes down to expectations, and it also depends on how the previous drama in that timeslot performed.…
This drama really had the potential to hit >15% if they got the same quality as early episodes but unfortunately missed the chance. I've seen some comments saying they continue watching it just for the actors; otherwise the ratings might only be 5-6% like Good Boy which was also heavily criticized for having underwhelming and repetitive plot.

On Typhoon Family Nov 30, 2025
Mark (ep15) is a corporate raider who targets small and medium-sized companies during the IMF period, he makes money off of other people's failures. The premise had good potential to develop into a compelling plot like Typhoon trading vs corporate raider and grasp deeper narrative but the writer didn't fully utilize it, ultimately resorting to personal grudges with Pyo again.

Actually I don't mind if Taepoong often fails in his business, and yes I KNOW life is sometimes uncomfortable.…
This is popular comments especially among Knetz, many people (including myself) tuned in with the expectation that the hardship ML experienced in biz arc would be related to IMF crisis and there would have some workplace narratives. However, the writer chose the easiest approach - creating obstacles through a flat villain and repeating the same pattern throughout all episodes. Most of the plot involving the villain was unrelated to the crisis itself. The show had a good start so I'm quite surprise that they didn't invest in writing good business plot as its the backbone of the story. The drama depicts the growth of young ceo amid saving a company, if the business narrative couldn't deliver then the whole show would be downgraded.
