Their thailand arc has nothing exciting on the business front. They should have excluded Go Majin bumblings .…
I had exactly same feeling initially after watching ep8, the conflicts between FL and Majin seemed exaggerated to a point that ML and business plot were sidelined. But after second thought I think writer intended to prioritize humanity and character growth over the business plot. Making money is definitely one key objective of doing a business, but the hardest part to manage is actually 'people', the conflict between FL and Majin was a typical people issue at workplace that worth to dig in depth. Only when those human issues were resolved and good work culture established (in long run) then a business can grow. i think this is one of the messages that the writer wanted to deliver through the Thailand arc.
Thank you for yor voice of reason.👍🏻 ALL the characters are flawed, ALL are working on their own insecurities,…
I'm happy that the writer didn't follow kdrama cliches that had ML stand upfront to save FL but stayed true to the reality. Initially I feel the conflicts between FL and Majin was overly emphasied in EP8 and sidelined ML and the helmets selling plot, but after second thought now I think it worth an episode for that as human issue is also an important business agenda nowadays other than making money.
Watching ep. 7 now. Am I the only one who didn't like the shoe smuggling scene? I'm happy to suspend my disbelief…
The shoe park story should be ended when the shoes were loaded onboard. So from the scene where the police raid came for drugs, to ML back to the port was a filler to me. FL's reaction was bit over too and editing of scenes was raw. I like the loan shark confrontation scene on the boat but the reason why they came for ML was not convincing. They should know the shoes were loaded and their money was secured.
It's a story about growth. Workplace has various type of mistreatment not just limited to sexism. Learning how to deal with and learn from an experienced but difficult person like Ko Majin is part of work life. Let the FL grow. She's also learning how to overcome inferiority and stand up for herself. Meanwhile ML's learning how to resolve internal conflicts among employees and I'm not surprised he will step up to change work culture against sexism in the future. All these things need a process and time. Ko Majin is a catalyst let them review their weakness and grow. Drama wise, viewers don't like to see FL suffer and expect heroism in ML, but it's not the way of resolving mistreatment in real workplace settings, especially during a business trip where the work agenda was supposed the priority.
i'm not said the story is bad. but it's just not trendy enough (outdated feel), hence why it's not popular in…
See how you define trendy. Most IMF themed dramas in the past were rather heavy and dark, but here it interspersed some lighthearted and humorous scenes to balance the seriousness of the story, since people nowadays don't want to be stressed out too much. Also ML's characterization, especially his way of interacting with others, aligned with current values. I love to see those newness in IMF dramas, hopefully it will set a trend for the future. Unlike some "trendy" dramas that were fast-paced but lack of substance, this drama focused more on character build up and sentiments. Its just a different offer to viewers, nothing wrong with that.
My best guess for Netflix's upcoming schedule is a 2 week in-between schedule for 3 of the last 4 pending drama…
If no teaser drop for new November drama later this week, then AYSB maybe the only original airing next month, December already got several big titles/ programs pending to release: - Culinary class war S2 -Great flood - Stranger things (around xmas) No idea how they'd manage to add 3 more k-dramas in between these programs. As POC has confirmed Dec release, think still possible that either Cashero or CTLBT being postponed to January 2026.
This is so good. But it's stressing me out. Every time something goes well for them, I have to brace for whatever…
It's a coming of age drama in which growth of the protagonist and how he overcomes difficulties is supposed the main theme. There will definitely be new challenges ahead, but as they grow I hope the writer will give them more wins and depict different types of business challenges, not always scams and Pyo which seem repetitive.
Re E05: I hate skipping but when I do it's because it's so boring, repetitive, practically a filler episode. You…
The 2nd couple romance was a filler to me, kinda boring. But I like the loan shark plot towards the end of EP5. Better they cut down the filler and let the shoe park case end in Ep6, now a bit draggy.
can you explain? Ep 6 rating might looks lower than ep 4. then i checked number of ep. 6 viewers was 2,1 million,…
No. of viewers is an absolute nbr whilst rating % is a relative nbr that fluctuates with the performance of competitive shows in same timeslot. EP6 clashed with final ep of Walking on the ice which got nearly peak rating and that was reflected in its rating %.
I love the relationship between FL and ML but she is a little bit too .. narrow minded and does not see the Big…
She has the typical trails and mindset of Accountant/operations people, good at organizing and analytical work, but lack of vision and creativity. However that's why she's a good partner for the ML as they complemented each other's strengths and weaknesses.
