I was interested in watching Immortal samsara while waiting for LLTG but the comment section over there is apparently…
That's how immature fans are unfortunately. Master of My Own (MOMO) was originally scheduled to release on April 26 and Rebirth was scheduled a couple days later than momo (both dramas were youku produced). Well, Dragon satellite tv bought the rights to air it and they wanted to air at the same time as youku so youku changed the airing date of momo to April 29 on prime time (airing daily simultaneously with tv and online platform) and so they pushed Rebirth date to earlier than scheduled. Reset, or I should say wjk's fans, were furious that their idol's drama date was changed and put in a not so good time slot. So his fans started trolling the actress in momo and the drama. They rated 1 star before the drama even aired and kept bashing on fl's looks. It was so distasteful, like why bully the actress when it's not her fault. Complain to youku instead. How is it the actress' fault that Dragon tv wanted to air her drama....and those antis were saying she had back up....yea right, if she had big back up then she wouldn't have to take 15 years to be where she is now. She has 0 back ups, she started as an independent artist and still is. All the resources she has now was from her hard work and recognition. I just don't understand why fans are like this, and this goes for LLTG also, the drama aired first and is almost done part 1, so it's not the drama or lusi's fault IS isn't doing as ideal as they have hoped. I've heard yz has a lot of antis, so what makes them so sure IS' low ratings are from lusi or LLTG's fans. it's just baseless assumptions.
Just started watching IS too. Went to their page to see discussion but looks like I shouldn't comment if I 'm…
Honestly, your not missing much with IS, this is coming from a bystander as I'm not a fan or hater of either and I do watch both of their dramas. But I will admit I wasn't fond of lusi' acting before. IS is basically AOL 2.0. The plot is so predictable, side characters are annoying. The directing and editing can do some work. I'm basically skimming scenes as a filler drama to watch. I'm able to enjoy LLTG much more and haven't dropped or skimmed any eps yet, which says a lot since I'm the master of dropping dramas left and right. There's a good balance of comedy and angst. I enjoy Lusi's small facial quirks and antics.
Why would is samsara fans especially yz fans attack lusi. I mean why???? This is just too much. Is it that they…
I didn't see any anti's here, perhaps there were if I scrolled down. I feel like we shouldn't be repressed from being opinionated on the actor/actress' acting, characters, production, storyline etc. Critiques are important for growth, and I sometimes get frustrated from fans that can't differentiate between constructive criticism and trolling. I'm not the type to talk shit on others, but I do want to voice my critiques as I like to analyze when watching dramas. I'm not talking about you specifically but in general. I'm just a passerby of lusi, and to be fair she did a great job in this drama. She kept the same cute antics, that she always does in all her dramas, but she mixed it with some angst. I think it balanced well, also the character is written well. My opinion of her has changed, and I would definitely recommend this drama to others. Samsara, on the other hand, I feel like has a lot of plot holes, which goes for most xianxa dramas. I feel like yz is type casted, I do know she took samsara out of courtesy to save the drama or else she wouldn't have taken it. But her pschologist didn't do as well as she expected, and it seems like she fairs better in period dramas, especially fantasy. I think she tried to switch routes but wasn't as successful. I definitely enjoy her in vs as she's so funny and cute. To me, lltg is the superior one.
Startling by each step (aka Scarlet Heart). My classic fave time travelling drama. Full of angst and follows historic events. Starring Liu Shishi and Nicky Wu and a bunch of other veteran actors.
Royal Nirvana is good too...Luo Jin's acting is phenomenal but man you must be physically and mentally be ready to cry every freaken scene. I had to drop it bc I couldn't continue crying.
Well, always being compared to her twin and being recognized as the inferior by everyone, especially since she…
I'm glad it helped you understand her character or the situation more. I'm just annoyed they had to make her character like this. The bystanders are the worst, they are the cause of this rift between their bond.
I'm on ep 5 and I'm just so disappointed with the low quality production of this drama. The scenes felt choppy,…
I enjoy LLTG's fighting scenes, wulei does a fantastic job at it and he easily carries Lusi one arm. So now my expectations for other actors have gone up meaning I hope actors can make it seem effortlessly in carrying actresses. When I watched yy prevented yd from falling, I could see how choppy it was cut and directed. I was disappointed. I'm trying to ignore that as his angst portrayals are always spot on.
Agreed but I feel FL is too mature to be still acting cute. I wish her voice could be dubbed, sound like she caught…
She is using her natural voice. It's the current few eps she's using a dub when she talks to ml bc she's trying, but failed, to hide her identity from him.

I thought I was the only one that didn't like yz using her own voice to dub. It's not pleasant to the ears for xianxa. It's fine for modern dramas, but for xianxa not so much.
I hope Zhi xi still has this" twin bonds" and redeem herself. I like Zhi xi at first, she seems so lovely and…
Well, always being compared to her twin and being recognized as the inferior by everyone, especially since she has to work extra hard while she always sees Yandan slacking off but getting praises and rewards so easily (in her perspective she thinks Yandan always has someone to come save/help her, while she has to do it all alone). These type of resentment is hard to suppress and ignore, especially when there is a person reminding her every minute of the day. It's bc she's been recognized as the weak one from the very first day she came to her "human" appearance that it's caused her to behave like this. Yes, it's her fault but also partially those other gods/dieties problem. Those standbyers keep gossiping about her and forsaking her hard work that she just turned for the worse. So I find it unfair to want or tell her to just suppress her feelings of being inferior again.
I'm definitely not taking her side bc what she did is wrong. Yandan is just a clueless girl that loves her sister dearly. I just think it's unreasonable to suggest or think she should suppress her inferiority. I would've said she should improve herself, but she is already. This is why in real life, parents should never compare their children to each other...it causes drift and resentment to each other.
i need to process ep 11kinda dislike mudeok/naksu strategy this timeshould i rewatch?
Same! I thought what she did was insensitive. I know she's impatient and worried that UK is not being diligent and becoming defiant towards her. But what she did to him was low. I felt hurt for UK. But, after losing so many fights and still lost using Tensu, I think he has come to the realization that he needs to work harder and that it was pure luck that he won against crown prince. Using Tensu alone is not enough to win against a regular mage, let alone one of more power.
i've started watching, and preview was super great. first few eps felt like "ashes of love" in many ways. By far…
There's a lot of similarities with The Destiny of White Snake and AOL. So far, the recent eps aren't very original. I've come to accept and realize that most xianxa dramas have very similar plots...I feel like maybe that's why I've started to lose interest. I'm just skipping the boring parts when I watch, I particularly enjoy cy as white hair. It may get more interesting as they will be going through their trials.
She really has a role here to begin with but another character. 🖤
oooh did she. That I didn't know. I honestly don't care if she is 2nd fl. I just dont like that if she is going to take 2nd fl role then she shouldn't say she isn't. That's lieing.
I just saw Dambi trending regards to this drama. So she is replacing crystal for the 2nd fl role. Didn't someone in this comment say she's responded on a live stream or wb comment that she's not taking the role......Well I think she lied.
Are we talking abt incest here? I don't think so.And forsaking your wife and only child for a woman is more than…
I didn't get the idea, it's based on the novel. There's a user here that is reading the latter half of the novel and she told me. Also on wb basically every viewer of the drama knows since there's a lot of videos of it. When you go on wb there's a lot of spoilers. It's impossible not to be spoiled on wb. It's not a mystery or secret that lby is huo general's son. If you scrolled down this page i bet there's lots of comments that mentioned this. Also lby's "mom" is pretending to be crazy. You can tell with her acting. She lets it slip a couple times

Hmmm, I don't think you fully comprehend what I was pointing out. I was mentioning that this hate/distate for his "father" is not just bc his "father" forsakened his "mom". but bc he may have already knew from the beginning he's the biological son of Huo general, aka his "uncle", and he may already have a clue as to who brought the demise of his Huo family.
In ep 24 it was mentioned lby's "dad" remarried when his first wife and son were missing. I think that is justifiable to remarry when he presumed his wife to be dead. He's a widower at that time when everyone presumed his first wife to be dead, for 2 years. When he remarried, lby and his "mom" reappeared. This has nothing to do with incest, so idk where you got the idea from. Anyways, from this logic and societal norm, lby should not hate his "dad" to this degree. So I am thinking he already know the big secret of his real identity but he doesn't reveal it bc he need to exact revenge. meaning he has another reason to hate his "dad" other than his "dad" forsaken his "mom".
What appears on the surface is that Huo general is lby's uncle, but actuality Huo is his biological dad. His aunt switched her son or her son was already dead so she switched her son's identity to save lby. You see in trailers that lby does a big massacre before his wedding with css. the people he massacred was Ling household, aka his "father".
