I see some mellon about Pearl but not many. 7 cut her hair short so some speculated maybe she's doing a modern. But another said last time she did utp her hair was short. So idk. Also there's no director yet for Pearl. So i feel like it may not be pearl bc the drama may not happen soon

I took offence to being compared to css' mom since you don't know me and you are judging me based on my comparison of css to minglan... that's very credible. Also, pray tell how my opinions or judgements of css is similar to css' mom?

I'm comparing css to minglan bc css seems to lack proper judgement sometimes, this is mostly regarding her actions in the palace. Her judgement in crown princess is horrible. Sure she could've been tricked by the sweet, poor, fragile image of crown princess since who doesn't like to help the victimized person. Lby could explain why she should stay away from crown princess, but css would most likely ignore his pleads, which she has, and think he's cold and ungrateful to queen raising him. Problem is, lby can't disclose why since that that would disclose his plans to dethrone cp. Css doesn't understand why cp would be a bad king, she just understands that queen treats her nice so she must protect the queen and prevent her from being sad, and by doing so it means css must help cp.

Css is a flawed character, but she is also loveable too. However, just bc she's the lead character doesn't mean we, or at least I, should support every action she does. She's a victim to her upbringings, her mom's teachings and bullying etc, so we empathize and sympathize towards her, but bc of this it blinds us and we just sweep her wrongdoings under the rug.

I assume you didn't watch Under the Power where ml is an embriodered uniform official, meaning he only takes orders from the king and is known as the reaper. I don't think, in the drama, the ladies mind a husband like that as long as he doesn't bring it back to his home. As long as he can separate work and family life, then it's all good.

They live in a dog eat dog world. If you don't protect yourself and become stronger than you get eaten by someone that is. Yes, css is pure and kind, but easily manipulated....look at crown princess manipulating css. She needs to learn the ways of inner court politics, at the very least. She doesn't have the smarts like Minglan in The Story of Minglan.

Yes, he did css dirty by leaving her stranded before their wedding. I don't think falling in love was in his plans, that was just something that happened spontaneously for him. He didn't stop her and luo's engagement, instead he gave them his blessing and even said he would help Luo get an out of state government position so that css can be free and do what she wants, out of her parent's reach. So, initially, he wasn't going to act upon his feelings for her, he was just going to keep his feelings to himself. But, perhaps, he felt the sadness and loss knowing css would marry luo, so when there was the opportunity to snatch css he gave in to his desires. It's like " I gave you away, but fate seems to be giving me a chance so screw it I'm taking it" type of thing. Also, lby deserves to be happy, even if it's only for a little while. Css brings him the little happiness he has, he seems to smile when it regards to hers.

Exactly. I hope she learns to appreciate lby more. Relationships can't always be balanced, sometimes one has to give and the other one takes, but if one always gives and the other always takes then the relationship won't last.

Unpopular opinion: I sometimes think lby is too good for css and she doesn't deserve him sometimes.

I'm glad qiqi gave css a wake up call about taking lby for granted just bc he likes her.

yes. It's pretty good. The ending doesn't seem rush and it seems well put together. The only thing is that I don't feel any chemistry between the leads. But Steven's acting is still great and the child actors were awesome.

I always suggest others to watch Nirvana in Fire and Joy of Life. No one is ever disappointing when watching these two dramas

Now that I finally finished ep 32 and have watched their argument, I believe they are both wrong and right in their own ways. CSS is grown outside of politics, she most she knows is these petty small revenge and tactics. She's also untainted and pure so when she wanted to help cp it was purely out of her fondness for the queen. She doesn't know helping cp would have any domino affects on anyone. She's not raised in the same environment as lby, so in her perspective she's not wrong and I don't think she is wrong. LBY wants to protect her by telling her to ignore and avoid things, basically turn a blind eye. But he doesn't explain or tell her why, just ordering her to. It's also his habit as a general by giving orders. A general doesn't necessarily have to explain to soldiers, he just has to give orders and see the result. Communication is key. They just lack this bc they aren't used to communicating with each other, especially since their feelings (mainly css' feelings) aren't deep yet. Also the problem is lby wants to take down cp but css is close to the queen so they have conflict of interest. It's hard for lby to explain his actions or reasons since he knows css won't agree plus risking her thrawting his efforts even more.
