I gave it a shot bc of LYF, but it got boring for me. She is ofc classy and so graceful and the dancing is great. But plot wise it got draggy and I didn't get the giddy gushy feeling for the leads. lltg, on the other hand I can't wait for the leads to get together. I want to see another side of llby

Yes, age, and also bc she's just not exposed to what liking someone in a romantic way is. I was a teen once and I knew I had a crush on a boy bc I liked him, no matter how fickled that crush was. We get exposure, from seeing how our parents interact, our parents' teachings, novels and media, friends etc. But CSS has 0 exposure since reading those types of scripts are forbidden and she was away from her parents, as a baby, and no one was there to love her. She never received love, so the first chance a boy treats her nicely she'll agree to marry him.

In these historical periods, when a female is marrying a husband, she's marrying the whole family. So it's not just the husband that should be a match for her but also his family members. I agree with Css' mom that Luo's family isn't a match for CSS.

i knew css was clueless about love, since she had no exposure, but she's really clueless. She most likey is fond of Luo as a friend, not lover. It'll take her some trial and error (i.e., her 3 engagements) before she really realize who she really loves.

I am very picky and critique about every drama I watch, even my fave dramas. I dropped Long Ballad, Blue Whispher, A Dream of Splendor etc. So Far, I'm enjoying this drama and I haven't dropped it yet. Lusi has improved in her skills, and I watched a video that the script writer for this drama was watching Tigers and Roses (the other drama Lusi starred in) while she wrote this script. So it's basically like script writer wrote fl for lusi. I think there's a good balance between angst (mother and daughter relationship and then later fl's romance), comedy and romance. Politics aren't a major play right now, thankfully. Ml is a bit rigid, I guess it's to show his strict military side as well as to distant him from others in a "don't bother me" type of aura. Wulei's horse riding skills are great to watch. The first couple eps can be a bit exaggerated. One I find a bit off is fl's grandma, she's too materialistic and superficial in a way that it's unrealistic. Sure she came from humble backgrounds, but she's probably living wealthy for 15 years at least, so why is she still acting so unclassy. But, overall I'm enjoying this drama more than I expected.

It's from the videos i saw on wb. His aunt msrried into Ling family and his aunt switched lby with her own son to save him. So her biological son prob died on behalf him instead. Lby's current father isn't his father, it's his uncle but no one knows yet.

Lby's aunt must really really hate her husband to be able to switch her own son with her nephew. She basically killed her son. But it's understandable, i mean her husband did framed and killed her whole family. I guess killing her son is like revenge on Ling family. His aunt really sacrificed a lot to save lby, i believe she also pretended to be crazy to perserve herself and lby. So even tho lby forsakes css, im not mad at him bc if there's no other eay to revenge on the enemy then i rather he goes rogue. Living with so much hate and despair in him....he wont be able to live for himself or love css properly.

Agreed. If he looks younger, even with his age, im ok if he played the role on Brocade. But he just looked way older than 7 since 7 is baby face, so that didnt help.
