We don't care as foreigners, but China is very prideful and patriotic. Bc of the past with Japan, they have this grudge or hatred for what the Japanese did to their people. They are very prideful and proud of their long history and culture, so they would think why use other countries' culture when they have their own. Also, they dont' want to be called copy cats. There's a post that Koreans are making fun of this show and China saying China are doing their usual things and stealing/replicating other cultures etc. This has turned political in some ways. There's controversy for looking like a Japanese drama with the bow in the female dresses and The japanese hat and sushi. This caused LLTG to quickly edit out the bows on Lusi's dresses. Basically this drama became a flop. Also, there's a new rule made that Chinese period films can't use foreign culture

I don't like the type of tough love. No everyone excels from this type of love. I prefer the loving and nurturing type. This mom is tough on fl and then behind her back she tries to be a benevolent mom or w.e...ugh the fl doesn't see this so she won't know so no one should blame fl for feeling what she feels.

Ling Buyi going to Wen manor to retrieve the map=treasion, old mandam Wen gifting the scroll to CSS to give to Ling Buyi=helping. In the end, LBY will get the scroll but the how is the most significant. I love these types of political play.

No. It's one of the unrealistic melon. There's strong speculations that 7's next project is a period. The drama with xz is modern. Also 7 knows she has a baby face so she will only take roles that fit her. The drama with xz has fl to be ilder than ml. Which doesn't fit 7. I mean dhe can play a younger sister to swl and steven, do you think she can play older to xz? Many xz fans disapprove of the collabe and aldo theres already runor that bai he is doing it.

She's had 3 mellons of 3 period dramas. I'm thinking she's going to take the drama about being a jewlery merchant. Im calling it Pearl as the temp name. Why do i think this? It's bc i see her fans using that drama's name to post random msgs to create traffic/hype. But i don't see them doing it with the other 2 dramas. There's always a reason for fans' behviour on wb. I think one aspect of thid drama is to show the sacrifics military personnel and theirbfamily members have to go through. Military eives typically have to be theirbien handy woman and often times going througj the pregnancy alone. You reminded me this aspect that i forgot. Now i might reread the novel in a different perspective

Sucks, I feel like there's more meaning and feeling when she's heavily pregnant, waiting in the hot sun alone and in line. There's more appreciation for her preserverance. Like a strong independent pregnant lady can do it alone kinda thing. It shows her character's strong side. Too bad.
