I feel like he's proven his loyalty to his wife and the kind of man/husband he his in the past 2 years he's gotten popular. Also maybe his managememt pressured him since many ppl aren't happy with it. I know he was criticized when there wasn't any kissing scenes with Yangzi.

Ik he doesn't want the throne, but he would be the perfect candidate, considering the ones left over.

Honestly this kingdown was going to be a down fall either way. Not every king is lucky to be Kangxi who has a great grandma to help him. This little king is inexperienced, timid, stupid. Sigh, and too many evil selfish ppl eyeing his throne. He doesn't have enoigh power to keep or control his throne or people. In a perfect world, SC should've been the right candidate to rule.

I put a haitus in Oao, stopped at ep 4...on ep 7 rn, forcing myself to power through this in order to watch Fae. Honestly, am a bit bored with the slow pace, but enduring for the leads. I'm more excited now for Fae, but I feel like I should this first as it will hold more significance and meaing when I watch Fae, knowing their tragic past life

I like Liqin, but I realized her acting isn't as good as I originally thought. I couldnt get into any of her roles so i can't get attached to anything she acted in. On the other hand, I rrally like Seven Tan's acting, from her crying to her smiles, it's all so natural.

The trailers were captivating, especially that song (but the song wasn't even in the drama). I think it became popular bc XZ was in it. I haven't found any recent dramas of Liqin that I like. I felt like after Princess Agents, her choice of drama or acting kinda downgraded. And I would put her as one of the better 90s actresses. She really doesnt fit the cute role. She over exaggerates too much to the point it's just cringey. She needs to stop playing these sha bai tian roles.

China has a mass production of dramas, but there's really only a few great ones a year.

Late reply, but bc of lack of budget they didnt do a wedding. But it's inferred that they will get married in the last scene when LY said she can manage the whole household, which included the financial part. Which can only happen when she marries into his household. Also, on the novel, theres a few side stories that talks about their maritial life wherr JX eventually gets pregnant as well

Production quality isn't good bc of limited funds. They didnt even have enough funds for the wedding. The inside joke of this drama was that all the production fund went to LY's costume attire. Ml has about 30 or so different attires, while fl's costume aren't as nice. It's a known fact that the storyline is just soso but it's the amazing chemistry between the leads and the casts' acting that saved the drama 🙂

I think the old king was nearly dieing and was reminded of his old loyal friend (LY's father). So it's like giving face to LY's dad, the king shortened his sentence and set him free. Also, LY ìs a real historic figure and he did go to prison and was released but it wasn't until decades later by the successor (old king's son).

Oh man, the wolf was a huge disappointment. I waited YEARS for it and when it finally aired I was ecstatic but then was left with disappointment. Dropped the drama

Definitely watch him in Under the Power. He gives off a totally different vibe. I love his charasmatic gaze in that drama. Be warned though, the plot is eh, but the chemistry between the leads and overall acting from the cast is what made the drama the dark horse.

In the interviee bailu said her character was 16. And ml should be 25 or so bc he's not a decade older than her, but close.

I get you. My friend won't watch oao bc it's angst. She only wants to watch happy dramas, especially during this pandemic. But i feel like we need to watch OAO in order to appreaciate FAE and the significance of their happy ending in FAE. There's a difference between viewers that watched OAO first then FAE and first timers that only watch FAE. I feel like OAO fand will cherish FAE more

Bc it's angst, sad ending and fl jumps down the building also. So both fl suicides.

It's one of the reasons why I like her role as the princess. She depicts perfectly as a cute, demure lady. It makes sense for her to be like this bc of her fsmily background and her role as future crown princess. It's actually refreshing to see a fl like this. Contrary to popular opinion, I'm kinda bored of watching princesses that fight and do revenge like The Long Ballad. What I like most is that shiyi is demure and ladylike, sometimes naive but not a sha bai tian. And Bailu does thos very naturally.

I hope it's a good script. It's one of Huace's higher production drama. I believe in 7 and wk's judgements, especially since both of their companies are also part of production/investment. Last time 7'a cimoany invested was in Go Ahead
