It's not an ep, it's my summarization of ml's love for fl from the very beginning of this drama until recept eps.

The actual villian is human nature's greed and obsession. If you want to know which character is the big boss, I guess it would be pianpian. I don't think the villians are losers, instead this drama shows us there's no real good or evil, everyone is grey. Someone that may seem like the antagonist probably had something bad that forced them to be this way, and the good isn't really good. They just use the excuse of doing good to do evil

Yes. It’s fantastic. It’ll blow your mind and slap you in the face for having these premature prejudice (no offence cuz that’s how I felt). I was confident the director had his own plans bc if us viewers can feel it’s off and see all these “disjointment” as you say then I’m sure a seasoned director would too. I was right and I can’t wait to go back and rewatch the beginning once I finish this drama. watching it first time without any knowledge and then rewatching knowing why and what happened really bring out a new flavour. The leads’ acting is sooo well done. I sometimes see xy or hy have these expression like they are confused or weirded out by what the each other say. Now I understand. Please soldier on!

There isn’t much to update, since the most recent episodes focused mainly on NA and HY. BZ and the demon hunters were given an ultimatum by the king: kill all demons within a month, or they and their families will be executed. At Commander Ji’s request, she turned all the demon hunters into demons. I’m not sure whether BZ is still human or if he was turned into a demon as well.

Pianpian has completely turned into a spirit, which will make it much harder for HY to kill her, especially since he previously struggled to kill the first spirit (the Illusion Goddess). Hmm… maybe that’s why XY went back in time again.

I also feel like BZ might turn bad. His main flaw is that he’s too soft-hearted. When he had the chance, he didn’t kill Commander Ji, and when Pianpian begged him to kill her while she was still conscious, he couldn’t do it. As a result, he’s now placed himself in this predicament.

It’s striking how different HY feels across the two timelines. In the past, he’s confident and self-assured, almost arrogant at times, forward in his affections and openly competitive. In the present, that certainty is gone. He’s more hesitant, more melancholic, and quietly unsure, as if every choice now carries the weight of what he’s already lost.

Another brilliant clue!! When HY went to the noodle resturant to eat shrimp eel noodle, he first ordered red noodle soup!!

HY ordering red noodle soup first tells us something crucial: his “default” for noodles was permanently altered by NA. She drowned everything in chili, he accepted it as normal, and that version of “normal” stayed with him for a century. That’s not taste adaptation, that’s love imprinting.

The PLUMS!! When NA and HY went to the nightmarket, NA told HY that the dried plums were her fave and fed it to HY. The first food that Dali and Luoluo gave to XY when she first arrived in Demon Valley for the dried plums. He remember all of her likes and dislikes, all the things they've said and done, and he's said the same thing he said to NA to XY. He's not the kind to open up bc he's a demon lord, he has many responsibilities and guard his heart.

I'm sure he knew XY was NA, vice versa, but that XY just didn't have her memories of NA. Even if it's reincarnated person, XY would have her own habits, likes and dislikes. But since HY prepped food and said everything the same, just means he already knew. It just wasn't the right time to reveal to XY.

Another hint that I think HY knew XY was NA

Yea, i was thinking of UTP how the ending was so sad, and they eventually let him out after 3 years and JX waited for those years. I was looking everywhere for the audio book or Chinese novel that showe the bonus chapters. I read breifly of their marriage life and when she was pregnant.

The kisses in XY are sweet, pure, gentle etc, but sometimes I do want a bit more lip movement like in ABAY. So I'm hoping the Orchid (Against the Current) that the kisses won't disappoint. I think LXY is a decent kisser, plus they should follow the novel. He's not a damn virgin since his courtyard is full of concubines. I don't want shy ml, I want dominant, take charge type in Orchid.

I'm just assuming with ss' track record of HE. Don't hate me if I'm wrong haha.

I love watching BZ, but it's really nice to just have these recent eps focus just on the leads. I've heard ppl complained that hmh/HY was barely in those earlier scenes. Which i def agree, but I believe it's to build up the plot for later on. This pianpian will actually be the final antagonist. Compared to the fallen goddess, pianpian is human, so her will and heart is weaker than the once goddess. Hence she becomes evil quick. All those brocade demon hunters have now turned demons themselves. The irony in this.

Only hmh and ss knows what demon HY is.

The drama first showed how HY died by betrayal of NA and the demon hunters' trap. However, I didn't really feel much of it bc I thought "oh wow, they really wasted that scene so quicky with no eotional build up". I felt bad for HY, but I wasn't crying, now I know what they did it. Watching this from XY/NA's pov will shatter my heart.

It's typical to end sad, but ss always has happy ending. I have yet to see a sad ending for her dramas. Even in her already filmed project, Against the Current, with Liuxueyi, he's known for having BE, like dieing or his fl dies. His fans were saying finally a HE for him, bc he has children with ss' character. So if ss can break lxy's BE cycle, I'm sure XY will have HE. I pray haha.

XY as NA has been saying a lot of weird stuff that made past HY arch his brows and second guess if he heard right. She kept saying stuff in past tense like she's experienced or been there. HY is no fool, he's just playing along with XY/NA. I think he said he likes XY and not bc she's possibly reincarnation of NA to make her believe him. The more a person explains the more they have something to hide. Plus, I believe the present HY already knew XY was NA, but bc Xy doesn't have memories of the past as NA, he didn't want to confuse her and cause her to disbelieve his confession.

From his POV, he loved once, opened his heart once, and was betrayed. by NA. For a few-thousand-year-old demon lord to say essentially the same words again, with the same emotional depth, so soon? Doesn't make sense . During the confession on the cliff on ep 29, he said he like her for her (her integrity, her values and kindess aka her soul), and that her name, identity, status, human or demon didn't matter.

Most importantly, tmr's eps, when XY timetravels back to the present, she exclaims she's NA, so we will see what HY says. If he said it was always her or something along those lines then it's confirmed he knew all along.

Ok, I finished. I'm not 100% sure bc I can't trust that lieing two faced so called father of a king. He could just be making shit up to get the mirror. This still doesn't explain XY's half human/demon identity though

Just as good! I'm really enjoying this Ningan/Hongye arc. I've already teared up 3x for today's eps.
